A continuation of my previous ROM (which wasn't very great).
Special thanks to ctso for his help on Twitter and for his tutorials for build Android. Thanks also to everyone (especially the XDA community) for the support!
DANGER SPL and LATEST RADIO might be required. I haven't tested without it, but better safe than sorry.
Heads up: On my phone, this ROM is FAST. Hope it works the same for you!
Eon Beta v0.7
This ROM is completely Vanilla Android 2.1 (compiled from AOSP source) with a few additions:
- Mod version and Ext filesystem information in Settings
- cm-kernel 2.6.29.6-eclair (overclocked to 528mHz minimum & maximum [by mistake])
- Passion EPE54B Google Apps (not the Droid Eris 2.1 for now)
- Menu button is disabled in lockscreen
This ROM is missing:
- Camera (since I'm using cm-kernel 2.6.29.6-eclair, which I don't think can support NCommander's Camera fix)
- Video (I've been away from XDA way too long to see how people get video support in )
- symlinks in the update-script (until busybox or toolbox lets my files symlink correctly)
- A2SD (for now)
- Live Wallpapers
- Cyanogen's huge APN list (for now)
- Wi-Fi (silly mistake)
- Bluetooth

Dude, they've already said 2.1 is still part of Eclair and Froyo is an upcoming version (is it already confirmed though? hearsay in Engadget doesn't count).

Gonna give it a spin. My phone's been rolling on Cupcake long enough (try it and I dare you to find find more than 5 real, non-cosmetic improvements on Eclair since Cupcake).

Cyanogen's kernel recompiled into "dwang's" v1.1.4-v1.1.5

This ROM is completely 1.6 stock (framework, apps, etc) with the exception of the following enhancements:
1. Compcache enabled by default (no backing swap, just straight compcache)
2. Memory hack which gives you 107.5 megs of linux system memory
3. ROM works with both mt3g (32b) and g1 (dream).
4. Root enabled
5. Market should be fully working
6. Busybox
7. Loccy's enhanced Browser v1.5 with MT
8. Netfilter and iptables modules added to the kernel. Wifi tethering works with both "aNetShare" and "android-wifi-tether" apps.
9. Launcher with 5 screens
10. Apps2SD for G1/Dream users ext2/ext3 fs only [may need to format /system/sd (/dev/block/mmcblk0p2) partition if getting black screen]
11. Work Email App (Exchange Support)
12. Userinit.sh support in /sdcard directory
13. All built-in apps optimized with zipalign and optipng
Caveats:
* Because of the RAM Hack, 3d games will run slow!
* Does not support ext4 partition

Ridiculously fast is probably the best way to phrase it. Left Cyanogen's in the dust, and though I hate to say it... it's faster than xROM. Though xROM's theme was gorgeous...

lol its all good, how long should I be expecting for it to boot? I didn't wipe my ext partition, so that might be why its taking so long.. .
But its been about 15-20 mins so far on the black screen.
EDIT: Wiped EXT and it loaded in like 5 mins lol

Clay never really puts a changelog because hes mainly based off of twitter, he does these for himself really if i had to guess because he doesnt publicize them that much. Its basically CM5 with a whole new look, a diff launcher, swap script, gapps included with the requirement of an EXT partition.

Thats exactly what it is its CM5 with Gapps included and he took what he did with SuperFast theme and added to CM5. Its pretty nice looking.
This is based off Cyanogen 5.0.7-test1.
Facebook sync works, well too I might add.

To get the Superbad theme on CM5, I pushed framework-res.apk. I also pushed services.jar but that might not have been necessary.
They go in /system/framework

Yes. I have a g1 and flashed it and it's fast!!! But is it me or is may g1 wasting more battery than usual!!!!! 50% in 45mins!! Why? Overclock is 528max 128min. Super D never did this even in 528max and min. And I do use task killer. Anyone has this problem?

This is a theme no rom
This is just a basic rom for the user that wants that stock feel but wants some power out of it. I have put alot of work into making this one of the best roms out for the Evo. How to use scripts:
Type the name into a adb shell or into a terminal emulator.
About BossMode:
Typing "BossMode" into adb shell or a terminal emulator will give access to and allow you to edit many parts of the system using any file manager.
For example, if you wish to delete system apps you can simply run "godmode", open Astro File Manager, long press the app, and delete it (don't forget to back it up first!). Also, if you wish to edit (using Astro) the build.prop, sysctl.conf, or install-recovery.sh files "BossMode" will allow you to do so. In short, "BossMode" can turn Astro File Manager into Root Explorer.Remember this is a beta so it might have a bug or two but nothing extreme. It will be out of beta next release.

Do you have FPS uncapped? Not sure why so many Roms get rid of Sprint Nav it’s great.
I would love to have Bluetooth mouse, keyboard and HDMI out all working and make this my Android pc. This phone is awesome!
I know Cyanogen has been working on Bluetooth option but they have yet to come out with a stabile rom. I have try a few nightly builds and there not bad.
I respect all rom developers for there time.

Yes it has stock browser dialer and contacts. It does not have apps that can be found in the market, for example Facebook and twitter. And yes kings kernel works!

The theme is being worked on and u shouldnt have to wipe now. If u have to wipe plz pm me to help me work it out. I dont have to wipe when I install new versions

voicemail?
I put this ROM on my Sprint EVO a few hours ago and just noticed that I no longer have anything for voicemail available under either apps or widgets other than Google Voice which I don't use.
What happened? I was already rooted and using the BakedSnack ROM but had problems with voicemail on that one too; apps were there but I never got notifications when I had messages. That was the whole reason I moved to this ROM. I wiped the unit first and followed all the steps to flash the new ROM.
What did I do wrong????

But I'm getting REALLY tired of all these hellrisen ROMs. It's not anyone's fault, really, but hellraiser just sprouted a poostorm of ROMs that are more or less the same.

Dont take it personally, but every custom "stock" ROM is basically the same because they're based off of the same firmware. (whether its a port or not) MIUI and CM7 differ from stock ROM's.
My advice is if you dont like them dont click on them? Dont want to see Hellraiser Ports buy a phone that doesnt support it

Or they're all nicely done ports and I've never experienced one that's the same. I agree with Big, nothing had to be said. When you put even one hour into development, then you'll understand. I put a few in a couple of months back and then life kicked me in the balls so I had to put all that on hold. Point is, that it's not easy man, and you had no reason to post that.
