This will be my first and last ROM release.
This due to the fact that I havent gotten any since the original release of mun's rom and I took on the project of creating this one.
There may still be some issues but they are more than likely minor or something that is a known issue about WM6. These I cant fix because I am not a kernel level programmer. I will still do my best to help out.
Thx will check it out later
Btw is that WMP a new one or still the same as faria ?

should be same as there was no new release
First to say thanks, nice...
will definitely give it a run through this weekend,
Thanks, but good grief, I just flashed back to 3.3 six hours ago, ah well, no rest for the wicked!!
Also I am guessing the aero.tsk is a theme but does that mean the bottom and top bars don;t have that glossy look, even if I install another theme?
Also, when you say there is no keyboard do you mean there is no on-screen keyboard at all? If so, how do I put that back on since I sometimes use it.
what's the pagingpool of this rom (4 mb like mUn version)?

Man, you're a senior, you should know better
Aero.tsk it's only a simple theme from mUn's original release. The glossy look is from the WM6, not from a theme or something
And he also had a custom keyboard, wich is also removed, now you only have the usual one
Thanks nottosmart, I'm downloading ,...

Well, I got some good news and some bad news.
The good news:
I got the promotion at work.
The bad news:
They are insisting that I put the phone back on WM5. They wouldnt tell me why, but if i want the promotion its a draw back I have to live with.
Sorry guys, 15K more a year is worth the drawbacks. Hopefully a full release will be given.
I will still be here to help out as best I can, but until I get a new device, My wizard will be off limits for development.
Great work,NotTooSmart!!!
congrats on the job NotTooSmart,,,, downloading now,,,
does your rom disconnect GPRS/Edge when the cancel/endCall button is pressed?
does the bluetooth headset button activate the Cyberon Voice Dialer?
Thanks for your hard work,

GPRS/Edge always suspended when a call comes in, but will resume when you hang up.

do you know a registry change that will have bluetooth activate voice dialer?
I am not asking about suspending/disconnecting when a call comes in.
My question was, does a active GPRS/Edge connection disconnect when the cancel/EndCall button is pressed?
The reason I ask is this button by cingular default does not disconnect but instead acts as a "show desktop" or Today Screen button.

During the beta testing, (mostly all day today) I did not notice my GPRS disconnecting (except when I did soft resets of course ). So this doesn't seem to drop GPRS / Edge the way other WM6 ones have done (but I didn't really go after that aspect either).

One correction here. GMail app does work on this ROM. The problem I ran into (and I think nottoosmart did also) was that when you install it initially and then immediately run it, it caused my phone to lock up. I did a soft reset and the app seems to run fine. This was the same behavior I had when I was running the original mUn ROM. So if you use the GMail java app, just expect it may lock up on you after your install if you try to use it. But it should be fine after that.
Great job on this reworking of the mUn ROM nottoosmart, and congrats on the promotion at work (bummer your phone privs were impacted).
Oh and one last comment for the night... This ROM is FAST! I ran with it for a good 12+ hours without overclocking and I really didn't notice it not being overclocked (except if I had two or three things running). I've now loaded mine up with Pocket Breeze, Pocket Contacts, Pocket Weather, Pocket Informant, and other apps I use. Even with all that baggage it still hums right along nicely.
Its only been about 24 hours, but overall this has been stable and very nice. I'm hoping to stick with this one for a week or more (I'm tired of flashing roms and rebuilding my stack of apps every couple of days ).
For GMAIL guys why don't you use the message email options, it set up my gmail and aol accounts automaticly and checks it every 15 mins
Less free space
just installed it and here is the space on the memory.

This Might Interest People - Especially MY Dear Friend ThingOnASpring!
I have been testing master Lt.Cmdr.Ivan latest ROM v3 for a long time, which is evident from my signature. The ROM is very stable!
When master ThingOnASpring came out with his latest ROM, I thought to give it a try. Especially, the ROM had build in HTC Home today plugin.
I found this ROM of master ThingOnASpring to be very unstable with lots of crashes and freeze ups. The freeze ups were like in olden days and when someone called, the Universal hanged up.
So, I went back to master Lt.Cmdr.Ivan ROM again. Since I like HTC Home today plugin, the first thing I did, was to install this plugin.
Guess What?
The ROM was not stable anymore!
It had lots of crashes and freeze ups. The freeze ups were like in olden days and when someone called, the Universal hanged up.
So, I did a hard reset and didn't install the HTC Home today plugin, the ROM is now working flawlessly and stable just like before!
Go figure!
KOR!
Thx,
Good to know, I'll cook the ROM without the HTC Home , which anyway I wanted to swap by rltoday!
Cheers
Depends which one you use, I suppose...
Ever since the homeplug came out I've been using it and I had some problems with the early versions. However I kept this version which seems to be stable it doesn't freeze the phone and works very well. The only problem I've found with it is that if you set the phone to vibrate using the homeplug it sometimes loses your default ringtone...
So give it a try and see what you think. You might need to have a look at Maimach's fix for the homeplug but as always once you do this it might affect the stability.

is anyone having crashing with incoming calls with the htc home plugin??? i have installed a number of versions but cannot seem to get any to work without crashing my uni when someone calls me!!
in my case, universal freezing upon receiving calls happens whatever HTC Home Today plugin version is installed.
i haven't found a solution yet other than uninstalling the HTC Home, but you can try a temporary solution: remove the SD card from the slot & i can now receive calls without freezing.
can anybody having the same freezing problem confirm this?

Well, as I posted yesterday, I'm running the HTC Home Today plugin posted by teixierabmb (links provided there) on my Exec, flashed with Ivan's v3.9 ROM. I keep my 8GB SDHC card inserted all the time, and I simply don't experience any freezes with incoming calls at all.

hi drsqueggy,
do you mean confirmed that removing SD Card temporarily solved freezing problem?
i'm trying to figure out if its a registry hack related to SD (i.e. PIE cache to SD), the SD type & speed (tried MMC but freezes too), or what?
by the way my uni is a vodafone V1640.
I've tried the 2 SD drivers that come with the latest nncuong's rom, but the phone still froze intermitterntly on incoming calls (and keeps vibrating).
I won't uninstall htc home, coz i'm going to miss it.
Rant follows, please read it and check if you share my views about the question: -----------------
I'm beginning to think the Universal is flawed inside in its hardware, and nothing can be done for it.
With the universal, we have a slower WM6 than the competition, and a load of bugs that are still there from the veyr beginning. My Uni already froze a lot of times without reason, for example when I closed TCPMP, or when I opened the control panel. It seems like old bugs sometimes resuscitate from the grave
I miss the ability of other phones (and other PDA's too) to wake up and starrt to ring INSTANTLY when a call comes in, and not after 2 or 3 seconds.
And also that pause when you answer a call, where the other end doesn't hear you but you can hear him, is very bugging.
Let's face it: the Uni is not well engineered, either, as there are some components in the system that act like bottlenecks. Sure, SKTools benchmark give the Uni its say, but the truth is not that. Try installing a CAB file on the Uni and the same cab file on an HTC Touch. Guess what, the touch does it in 1/4 the time of the Uni. And guess what, the Touch's processor is the old ****ty omap 850 (a seriously-underpowered 200 mhz processor!). How could this be possible???
But the worst part of the history, is that every rom released only adds its bugs to the pile. I think they (the cookers) should unite and make some serious information-sharing, trouble-shooting and rom-releasing work together.
Heck, admit it, every now & there a rom comes out that use a "new extraordinary revolutionary mega-fast driver", only to discover, days later, that this driver is only mega-unstable and that it had already been tried months before.
I didn't have all those problems with my old Tornado's WM6 hack... they (the cookers) released a WM6 rom, and it worked flawlessy at first chance, way better than the original WM5.

Hello everyone, It is time for me to finally make a contribution to this forum.
This is my first rom, and I have been working on it for way too many hours making sure that everything I use works. However I don't use everything and just haven't had time to make sure.
This is where I hope you will point out my mistakes so that I can fix them.
Notes:
CE OS shows 318 build because I used that nb0 (I couldn't find a bigger one)
Memory at startup is about 27-29mb free (with voice command enabled by default)
Also the storage memory, I synced my contacts and took some screenshots (informative ones) which is why it shows that number. You should get about 45mb before you sync 198contacts/caller id pictures, and not to mention about a dozen .bmp screenshots
The screenshots are edited obviously, to fit all of the icons

Nice Job, The only bug so far is that it took 6 soft resets to get it to recognize the Data AT&T Network.
1)Hangs a bit when adding an appointment, Newer Build does not happen
So at this time 29 people downloaded. I hope to get more feedback but I don't expect it from anyone until about 24hours with this rom.
Pumpiron579: could it have been a bad flash? or perhaps a corrupted archive?
I don't have that issue at all I set up network wizard, let it reset and it works immediately. strange that you had to reset so much. I hope that everything works now?
Thanx for downloading and trying
I don't know why that happened. That was a first for me. See if anybody else has that specific problem. If not, it was just something with my flash ?? Everything works great know. Been using it for 5 hours.
I needed three soft resets to get the phone to start up, froze on splash screen - after three resets, its all good........
Will update this post as soon as I use it a bit more

camera works well - no issues, wifi set up without issue, sms tested and working. Phone works, calls are clear. Bluetooth set up with car hands free without issue.
I've never used pbar, so just need to get used to it. Lots of extras with this, so will need to play with it. But it does work.
So far, so good - battery is at 100% fully charged, will use for a bit and update some more.
I did not hard reset after flash, so that may have been my issue.
Nice rom so far - will continue to update
3 soft resets? strange. I will upload a different upgrade utility. se if that is solved. Mine does not do that. I did a hard reset after flashing without my sd card.
It may just be that the thing may have become corrupted when uploading/downloading/compressing. I will compress it less next time.
Working on fixes for things that I have experienced. will probably upload again tomorrow late night. I really need more feedback other than that issue.
How is the battery? Is the pBar working for you? camera, mms, Live office? everything good?

yes, Grinminded guided me in a couple of areas.
I plan to get rid of live and replace it with fring (all in one instant messenger with skype capabilities) I have used it before and have to say that it works, but has a flaw: while a message is coming through, it freezes, so you can't type anymore. the result may be a garbled instant message if you are not carefull. You guys think it is a good idea or not?
also, i need to get rid of menu animation in the registry to make it work a little bit faster (you can fix that in the reg your self for now, before I upload. sorry for the wait.)
I'm also about to add some battery fixes so you may have to wait for that as well.
I have to catch up with a lot of work at the moment. if you have suggestions, please post them. I will work on it as soon as I can.
happy flashing
Hey SVI,
I've read a number of your posts in a few threads and must say I'm really looking forward to trying this. I think our ROM flavors are very similar. I've DLed your ROM, but haven't had a chance to install it yet, since I'm on the road right now. As far as replacing Live w/ Fring, I'm kind of the mindset that Live tends to be a little more 'universal' right now and working pretty flawlessly. Fring can always be added by cab. Just my 2 cents. Thanks very much for all your hard work.

I would keep live messenger. 2 reasons I love this rom, 1) messenger, 2) M$ VC. when a rom does not have them cooked in, it takes up a lot of room installing them into the main memory. I use my messenger a lot.

I was working on this rom last night and decided to try out the "Live" and beat the $#!* out of it. The oem package that I have, is not very rock solid. I took the package out, and the performance improved. It runs in the background weather you like it or not. A far as messenger is concerned, I'm not sure yet. MS is letting people download Live Mobile in standard and pro. maybe they have updated and fixed some issues. I have also been working on the graphics for this monster (it's big) so not everything is black and white; originally I turned everything Grey to save space. I added some Reg tweaks having to deal with caches. the result is loss of ram (about 2mb). Will keep you posted, and probably update another version tomorrow.
Hi,
I got my Touch Pro this morning and am very disapointed about the new TouchFlo. When using my old Touch with the first version of TouchFlo I could use it along with other today plugins. In this new 3D version there is no space for 3rd party today plugins.
I'm using a dual sim adapter (an analog one) and used to switch the cards with the help of "Dual Sim Today". This great plugin showed me wich card was active and let me switch them with just one click.
Although I already searched the the forums and web for a solution I was not able to solve the issue.
I don't know why but on my device this doesn't work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=414300
So I think maybe it's because I've got a Touch Pro and Yoshi owns a Touch Diamond. This is why I'm opening a new thread here.
I'm sure I can't be the only one who want's to use other today plugins than TouchFlo 3D.
Thanks in advance
Cute as TF3D is, I just don't use it. It doesn't add much functionality, and it's too buggy. My TP is much more stable now. If I can get a fixed version of TF3D, I'll give it another go.

I'll give it a spin later. I just have issues with getting arcsoft to run for my MMS for some reason when tmobiles settings arent already in have set it up so many times in the past have it memorized but it seems to mainly be an issue on the 6.5.1 builds maybe its just an issue stemming from there
yeah, i always have problems with arcsoft, thats why I dont include it in my roms... if you want I can recook one with arcsoft installed and see if it helps your situation
Ugh, also forgot to add in facebook, I use facebook ALOT but idk about you guys

I used to have that issue with every rom I used as well. My t-mo wing is unlocked and i'm on att now. What I had to do is install a cab for the connection settings(cing_connnection_settings.cab), another one for the mms settings (cing_mms_settings.cab), and install and run the htc network wizard. The network wizard that's built into some roms don't work for some reason... anywho common sense would say that the cabs would take care of it but the network wizard i guess handles things that the cabs don't. Either way I run those items, let the network wizard do a soft reset and everything's cool.
Now I am aware thats for at&t it would be safe to assume there's cabs like that for t-mo.
Hope this helps and quells that issue.
So by the providence of god I managed to flash this rom via sd. I first installed Arcsoft MMS, soft reset. Then install the cabs for the connection and mms, then install the HTC connnection thingie. Then run the wizard for my carrier, and do a soft reset when it asks and I'm good. Managed to confirm this by mms'ing myself.

I updated the initflashfiles.dat so it now has that icons among other things that match 6.5.1.

Hey my Wing is on at&t too, is there any way you could post the cing_connnection_settings.cab and cing_mms_settings.cab? I have alot of issues too going from ROM to ROM, that's why I don't flash as much as I want to, because it's such a pain in the ass to get the data/mms working.
I slapped something together here

All the cabs where found on various places in XDA land, hope it helps. I better get to work before my boss burns my feet
My sd card isn't fast enough.. Isn't there a ruu version..?
bugs found
Thing has an issue when I soft reset... keeps rebooting after showing the orange windoze logo. Only way to get the madness to stop is to go into boot loader and eject my memory card and cross my fingers after I hit the reset button. This is with pretty much any 6.5.1 ROM I've came across.
Either than that, it's not that good on multi tasking, normally I run TCPMP and txt my buddies. With this rom in particular, when i get into a message and start typing, TCPMP or media player quits. Complains that there's not enough memory for the operation.
That's all i've been able to find so far, can't wait to see the newer builds get rid of these small issues.

Just let it sit for a LONG time. About 20 minutes. It will complete installation and get past that orange screen eventually. Have patients grasshopper.

Yeah, GET BACK TO WORK!!
Giving it a shot
Gonna try this baby tonite..
Awesome
the ROM is AWESOME !! great job man.. quick and responsive no issues at all. call quality also seems to be fine. the only issue i have come across is the dial pad.. the window displaying names disappears and the text scheme is white text on a white background.
hunting for a dialer as i dont have the heart to switch to another rom just now.
if someone can point me how to change the scheme / a good dialer i would be very greatful.
Update:
Observed today is the issue with the key mapping. i was wondering why i cud not setup my yahoo mail lol.. eg: the @ symbol is not mapped to Shift+2 instead it gives )
I have installed fingerkeyboard 2.1 from gianni (qvga) and it is working fine with no issues as of now.
