I just put my order in!
Here
Are these the static cling type of screen protectors?
Nope, they are the peal and stick type. The plastic is a bit thicker so they are not as flimsy and are easy to apply. Best I have ever used. The one I put on my g1 is still on there.

Wow... I bought my Phantom Skinz, which is a 2 pack for $5.97 shipped with their discount. In fairness though, I have used and really like the Seidio protector. You can wait, as they often have discount codes and free shipping... the product is worth the money though... it will last quite a while and has a great feel.
i got a quote of $9.23 USD i recall for shipping to canada so cost of the protector and shipping and US to CAD = close to $20.00
I can garantie if i ordered and recieved the item the postage paid on the package/envelope would be no more than $2.50

I tried that, it ended Jan 13th.
Oops, sorry. It says ended on the 15th - I thought it was sent on the 15th. I need less coffee, more sleep
I ordered one over the weekend for 13.85 shipped. I'll be sure to review it once it comes in. Also, I can't stand wet-application screen protectors, so I'll see how this fares.
I can't take worrying about scratching my screen anymore so I finally took the plunge. I ordered the 2 pack for a whopping $20.67 shipped. I'll let everyone know how good they really are once I apply one to my screen.
umm, not to be mean. any reason why you need a screen protector when the screen itself on the nexus one is scratch resistance?
you just answered your question. It is scratch resistant not proof

Exactly. I already have a light surface scratch on my screen
Anyone know a code for seidio?
My order shipped today!
Your order has shipped. (Order#: XXXXXX placed on 1/16/2010)
i just got my 2 pack in the mail today and failed to apply both of them and got dust/lint stuck on the adhesive side. talked to seidos online customer service and they're sending me another 2 pack as a one time courtesy! hopefully i dont mess thsoe up.
The hardest part in installing the Seidio is getting every minute particle of dust off the screen first. I don't know about you guys, but this seems to me to be the biggest dust magnet of any phone I've ever had! I wipe it with microfiber, and within 2 seconds, there's more ultra fine dust on the screen.
Anyway, once you get it clean, hold the protector buy the little tab extension that they should have included on the backing strip... gently start peeling the backing paper off the opposing side and just expose one edge of the protector. Then start "rolling" it on as you slowly pull the backing paper off. Should come out perfect as long as it's cut properly.
By the way, how well IS this product cut? Is it short in width and/or height like the other screen protectors seem to be?

Hi, a while back, i found that stealth guards gave away free screen guards. I ordered one, and got it today. does anyone know what the 'solution' is that the website says to use?
I also saw somewhere that you don't need the solution, not sure on that though.
http://stealthguards.com/ there is there website, incase anyone was wondering.
anyone? please?
I bought similar protectors off of ebay. The solution I used was 1 drop regular dish soap, 1 tablespoon of 70% rubbing alcohol, mixed with 1/2 - 3/4 cup of tap water. Not sure if this is compatible with the ones you purchased, but it worked for me.
I just ordered one myself. Can't lose out for $2 shipping!
Skinomi uses water as there solution I believe. I have applied other products like this that require 1 drop dish soap in a quart of water then sprayed on the surface.
Thanks for the heads up on the deal!!!
I got mine an installed it, I installed the rear shield and the screen shield. The install was easy and looks great, almost like a regular screen feel. The back cover makes the battery cover glossy so its kind of neat, not really needed though.
I would urge people to be careful ordering from this company .... we ordered 2 units the beginning of the month (Sept) and have heard NOTHING from them about shipping or delays or anything ... you prolly want to avoid them .....
Cheers
ordered mine like 2 weeks ago, and mine arrive monday..havent installed it yet.. but for the price of shipping im not gonna complain..

Yeah I place my order on the 4th and they haven't sent me any conformation of my order, but they charged my pay-pal immediately.
Yesterday I ordered a ZAGG skin, only to find out that they have been back-ordered. The CC said "quality issues", but I'm not sure what is really causing this (maybe the complaints about the screen cover size that we've seen here?)
Also, the BSE for G2 is now available! Requested them to make a skin last weekend, and got a reply that it is now official! As usual, they are offering a small discount.
http://www.bestskinsever.com/t-mobile-htc-g2-skin
Wow, for only $7 too. Way cheaper than Zagg's 25.
i ordered one last night around midnight and I got a delivery confirmation...so im guessing that means I'm gonna get one of the oversized ones? bummer
are the bse as good of quality as zagg?
i was going to order from zagg last night as well-- hopefully they back in stock soon so i can use my discount
in 4 1 thank you

i had BSE full-body on my G1 for a long time and it was awesome - kept the phone like brand new. eventually (like, after a year) it started getting a little grimy along the edges, but for like $7 i should have just bought another then. instead i took it off, the novelty of the G1 having faded.
anyway, i just placed my order for the full-body BSE. can't wait to have it so i can feel safer about throwing my G2 in my purse (along with scratchifying keys, pens, etc.). i refuse to pay the exorbitant zagg prices. i don't need a kit either. bse comes with clear instructions, so if you're careful and patient, it goes on perfectly.

Does the BSE full body catch a lot of lint? Lots of screenshots I've seen always show it with tons of lint and dust.

not really, no. just a little inevitably is going to stick along the edges where the skin is cut, but no lint or anything on the face of the phone with BSE. i think it's the same material as zagg, so presumably equivalent results. a little orange peel style dimpling as well, but also to be expected on these kinds of things.
that said, i've never actually used the zagg so i could be missing out!

I wouldnt really call it cheap.
Its the same 3M military grade rubberized plastic that Zagg and the rest of them use just they order the big roll then stamp it out they make maybe a dollar off of each phone after shipping and supply.
But its about half as thick as the Zagg and doesnt quite feel as rubbery but hell you are paying 3 dollars and it will be far easyer to fit in the Slip Grip car dock ^_^
its good stuff, been on my g2 for about 2 weeks now.

Same with me. It's pretty good and the screen protector feels good as well.
None of that orange peel stuff neither, the air bubbles and water inside also went away in 3 days and it looks perfect, flawless now. I wish it also protected the sliver metal around the screen but it's good enough for $3.
And also, I like the glossy look of the phone when it's under light.

Yep, The battery cover has its own little skin you can put on.
My only gripe with the whole kit is it doesnt cover the corners of the phone very well.
One quick question: does the skin cover the camera?
Thanks!
I just ordered it, although I'm really just ordering it for the screen protector. How good is the rest of the protection?
Do we have any options for screen protectors on this tablet? I'd prefer to use the tablet "naked" with only a film over the screen to help deter scratches. (I really don't care if the back gets scratched..)
Thanks

SKinomi makes one for the GT7+ and the quality is good but I'm warning you of their customer service. They have the worst customer service. You better hope you won't have to deal with them. They got 3 strikes from me just on one order.
1st: they forgot to process the order, I had to send them a followup email
2nd they again, forgot to send the item after 10 days from processing. I had to send them another followup email.
3rd: the item arrived, they forgot to include a squeegee! No big deal if this is just the case but they already f#$%ed me 2x.
Plus they only respond if you answer them basic questions but if they had to deal with these issues, they keep silent and doesn't even apologize for their mistake. This is just my experience though.. I hope this doesn't happen to you.
UPDATE: Just got a word from their manager. They are in the process of looking for a company that will provide a squeegee for them (no biggie). And he apologized for everything that had happened.. That's all I needed. .. and a full refund. All is well!
Something I stumbled upon a while back. I've not bought it as I hear "Santa" is bringing it to me.
Looks pretty good from here.

Is it a glossy style or a more matte style? Would you say fingerprints are more or less of a problem with this screen protector? Would you describe the film as stiff or more "stretchy"? Does the protector create an "orange peel" effect?

The Skinomis I've used in the past on other devices (wet apply) are iffy. Some were rather "rubbery" (DroidX) and kind of shiny (TF101). The larger the more pliable. I replaced both. Not a real fan of "wet-apply" myself. Others swear by them. Both attracted fingerprints and other goobers but wiped off easily.

This is the clear style not matte. Im curious on how a matte protector wouldfeel or look like but this clear skin is better in reducing fingrprnts than having nothing. My hands sweat a lot and this really helps. The feel is similar to Bodyguardz if you had experienced it. Total opposite ofnthe zagg protector that ive used on a gt10.1. My fingers has a friction squeaking feel on a zagg but this one is smooth.
This film is "stretchy".. wet apply..have like 2 dozen bubbles on it right now because i had to attend to my crying 2 yr old while applying this thing. By the time i came back, the it was too late to redo. But im confident these bubbles will all go away in a couple of days. Will update when the time comes. Some of them are already gone after 24 hours.
Anyway, if youre a fan of bodyguardz then this would be perfect as well. "Skinomi25" coupon cvode on their website saves 25%

I think it's more matte style, but I may be comparing it to phone protectors which I've used outside. No fingerprints on mine - I'm hella dark and ashy, and I have to use hand lotion all the time so chicks dig me. Fingerprints are a huge concern for me, so I am pleased with that aspect of the skin.
I don't notice any orange effect. I'm not sure if it's stretchy, but if you are talking about what I think you're talking about, then it is more stretchy than stiff(I'm guessing you mean kind of like camera film when describing it as stiff. I've had cheap protectors like that.)
Skip the atFolix stuff, I just got it and applied it. Frankly I'm happy they shipped two, as the product was god awful to apply and the first one I applied had a a couple scratches going down it.... so effectively it was burned...
Here's the Amazon feedback I just left and I'll elaborate more
----
Product not cut to size, with 1-3 mm from the edges of the tablet, gives it a cheap screen feel. The screen is only a single back applicator, meaning you only pull one side to apply. As a lot of other other screens use two backings, one to protect the adhesive and the other to protect the screen itself, you can expect some scratching on the screen itself due to the fact that the screens are shipped side by side and therefore rub and scratch during transit. Micro-scratches are very evident. Not happy with the quality and the somewhat self inflicted damage of the screens.
Finally shipper does not have tracking numbers available.
----
As for the cutting of the plastic, I've personally gotten better cut screens for my phones for less, then the cut of this plastic...
I wouldn't recommend this and given in couple months I'll most likely swap this screen out...

I'm getting the impression there are no good choices for this device. Perhaps I'll just get one of the generic "you cut it" protectors and cut it down to size myself.

Zagg has one available at best buy for the tab+ $24.
I miss when i got the original galaxy tab and there were pretty much a wide availability of aftermarket accessories for it. Not so much w/ the Plus. I'm still looking for a clear (non matte/anti-glare) and non-gummy screen protector.
I just got the skinomi finally last night and pulled it off after a minute of application. Just like the Zagg/invisibleshield product it has this grippy/gummy texture i don't like on my touchscreens. That's fine on the body if i don't want to use a case, but really not my preference on the screen.
What i want is a smooth, close to frictionless as possible on the touchscreen that affects the clarity as little as possible. In the past I like the Boxwave Crystals but they don't have any for our device, so I placed a request.
Anyone ever deal with this company? They list a screen protector specifically for our devices.
Looks promising. But then the Titanic looked promising..........

Oh believe me they have it. Their customer service is just plain incompetent and lazy. I got it after a couple of followups.. Oh and when USPS displays on their tracking website "Electronic Shipping Info Received" which indicates Skinomi already printed a shipping label for your item, don't settle and don't wait because for sure they will forget to send it in! Bang their heads until the tracking info starts moving. Then demand for a manager and get a refund for the trouble they've caused you. You then get the item for free. That serves them right because that item is their payment for the aggravation they've cause you. Just send them an email, be irate because I know you already are.

This protector absolutely BLOWS. Mine was so full of bubbles and while trying to work them out the glass cracked just using the included squeegee.
I've installed tons of protectors over the years and this one is a complete fail.
Zagg charged me $9.99 for a replacement and I don't think I'm even going to try it.

In the end I got one of them whitestone copies on ebay with the glue, went on perfect and only cost me like £7
Every time i see someone put one of these on i cry.
Not defecting its from an improper install. You can not squeegee a zagg elite that hard because
-Adhesive is thick and super sticky. Air does not come out of it. Light heat helps but expect 15-20 min of working bubbles out by hand. Seriously. Light and smooth.
-Air bubbles with that thick of adhesive makes a high pressure point on the glass. Do this with any glass protector out there they all crack.
Install on this is horrible. I did one and outside of 20 min worth of getting out some bubbles it went on just fine. Second one if i had a bubble that was not coming out i used some really strong tape. Lifted the protector up with that then slowly let it down. That helped. Last one i used that with some light heat and it went on ok. Still a pain.
Now for the fun parts.
First one i had was defective. Protector had a bubble in the top right corner that would not come out. Measured the adhesive layer and it was 50um thicker in that corner. Defective unit and the store knew about that got a new one and it went on perfect.
Horrible design. One thing about Zagg is they have great products...But after its made they give it to someone there and they are in charger of gimping it. There job is to figure out how to make it slight worse. On the Elite they said well the normal one as the edge adhesive and that sucks so this has full so how can we made it suck just as much..I got it. Lets add some black borders that make the display just a hair smaller...And then we will make it so out of that black we get a little light leakage when its in a dark area. Seriously every Zagg product has one these where someone should of been fired. I mean whitestone did the same thing. They cut every corner they could and did not go out of there way to make the product worse like Zagg. They just used cheap stuff and try to tell people its the most amazing thing ever.

i was like that spreading glue all over my 1000 pound Note 9 but dam it's worth it, it’s only a small drop of glue inside the bottle. The screen clarity touch sensitivity is amazing it’s well worth the 19 bucks i paid for it..
just make sure you put tons of masking or sell tape on your Note 9 before proceeding and make sure you cure it with uv light, and please take your time.
it just turns into soft rubbery glue, witch can be picked away but don’t mess around with the edges of the glass screen protector. As that will allow for dust to get in! But once on, you will never go back it's like there’s no protector I used a generic brand as it’s the exact same as Whitestone dome but you’re paying for the brand name Whitestone that’s why they are charging you 50+ bucks.
The 19 bucks one is the exact same as Whitestone dome I believe it is the same company that supply to Whitestone dome! See ebay link https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T-Max-Li...h=item21473e6d52:g:RccAAOSwZ~tbkQZx:rk:1:pf:0

it just turns into soft rubbery glue, witch can be picked away but don’t mess around with the edges of the glass screen protector.

They use different glass. I know where whitestone sources there adhesive and even got a price for it lol. It's from batches that can be sold under the company's brand name because its defective. So they sell it heavily discounted to places that. I did a lot of testing with that stuff.
But you dont need to tape it. That stuff comes off very easy because it never fully cures. And even fully cured the phones display has an fluoropolymer coating on it "Kinda like Teflon" So that helps a ton for getting the stuff off. Also any on the phone can be easily removed even fully cured with some Methanol. The stuff we use can be removed with Methanol and that stuff is 1000X better then that junk in those kits. Just dont use something like Dynmax 431-T and expect it to come off that easy. It wont, But the stuff in those kits comes off very easy. I'll plug the ports and dip my phone in it and not thing anything of it. However i would not put a drop of 431-T on my display if i ever want it to come off. But using the cheap kits "Whitestone is a cheap kit that's a fact and i proven this" You will get some de lamination at some point if you do not baby your phone. Pressure on the edges can cause it and even rapid temperature changes. And that's because at the end of the day its all defective. The tube that comes with the kit if it was quality and not messed up is around $20 per 0.1oz or 2.95ml. Its expensive i deal with these types of adhesives every day. But they are buying stuff that had issues during the mixing process and being sold off as a lower quality for $0.50 per 4oz or 118.2ml. I found who is the manufacturer of it is and who the suppler who is distributing it out of China is.
Sad note. I had 7 tubes of some high end Optical Adhesive that expired on the 27th. Little over $21,000 in the trash. Still good still works but since it is past that expiration date we can no longer use it for production. That was a lot of Adhesive....But even more money. We also scrap gold epoxy lol. But that stuff goes out to have the gold reclaimed from it.
But that price is what the Whitestone should cost. I mean for the adhesive they use its still a bit much but they gotta make money so its fair. I would pick that kit over the dome any day.

So much of this.
It was a PITA to install but my install came out flawlessly. Though yeah, you have to take your time, be careful not to put too much pressure on the glass itself when installing. I found it best to relift the glass to expose the bubble in question, then smooth it out towards the edges with a felt wrapped squeegee...gently. Lifting the edges was the magic I used, much like installing a skin / car wrap, relieve the tension and squeegee smooth. Cracking glass on installation has always been a thing since the iPhone 4 days. If you put too much pressure in one location, pop. This is not a proper review video imo, user error does not constitute a bad review.

Do you have a link where i can purchase the high end Optical Adhesive ? That you would use on your smartphone ? And thanks for the in-depth info respect!
This product is awful. I got this put on at Best Buy 10 days ago and it is already cracked.
I have no idea what caused the break. No drop, no bang, no bump.
Zagg Lifetime warranty = $10 everytime you use it = basura
Tomorrow, I will drive 48 miles to San Jose Zagg and see if they will put on the Zagg film protector instead. Wish me luck.

Was the Best Buy install perfect with no bubbles or any problems? Maybe Zagg can get the Elite on perfect?
Slightly off topic. Would you know if cleaning the screen with alcohol wipes ( isopropyl) destroys the oleophobic coating or not ? I'm assuming it may after a given amount of times.

I have this one.

It can where it down over time but no more then useing your phone. I refresh mine every other month with one of the $12 kits from Walmart. Each vial I get 2 uses out of. I just reseal the plastic vial after. So $12 gives you 4 uses.

Yes. Best buy did a great job. No bubbles at all. The guy had to put it on twice. The first had dust. The next, he spent 15 min. removing dust with the tape.
Get the RhinoShield 9H Tempered Glass Screen Protector. For me its really the perfect protector FINALLY. Just take your time with the install and watch the video.
