Favorit folder synchronization - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
I get problems with with my HD2 with the synchronization of my favorites for the Internet explorer.
I mark in activesync the favorites, but only the sub folder "mobile favorites" is synchronized but only the sub folder itself and no links.
I didn't find keys in the registry, where I can tell activesync to synchronize the folder "favorites" instead of the sub folder "mobile favorites".
Has anyone an idea, how to change it?
Kind regards
Felsenquelle

SYNCHRONISING

How do I set up my XDA so that the synchronised files folder gets stored on another driver other than the C:\.
I have 2 hard drives on my machine and want it stored on the other one.
Thanks.
it will always sync with the dir you get in my documents
but on a pc you can always change the location of my documents
if you change that to your other disk activesync will sync with that
use tweakui to change the my documents location

Sync Files on XP Desktop and Orbit

Hi all,
there is another question regarding my orbit.
I have setup the "File Synchronization Settings"
When I connect the Orbit to the computer, it synchronize these files on both locations.
This function works great.
The only problem is that the folder location has been pre-set in the main memory.
I want to put all my documents in my micro-sd card, although I can copy the files to it, but it addes several more steps.
Is it possible to change this location to my micro-sd?
Thanks for looking.

Syncronizing Outlook calendar with .pst

Hi guys!
I need yous help or comments here.
I have PPC WM6, Outlook 2003.
I have downloaded a .pst file for a sports tournament here in South Africa.
I have imported it to my Outlook calendar, and the appointments appear on my PC, but does not sync to my PPC.
I saw something about a PPC not being able to sync personal files etc.
I wanna know, is there an easy way to get the PPC to sync the Appointments to my PPC. I saw some software and stuff, but not sure if there is a easy way to do it?
Can someone help here??
Thanks guys!
I have included a Screenie of how my setup looks! Thanks!
Anyone that can help with this please!
I think there should be some thing in Outlook configuration for selecting your main synce source files. may be outlook only sync your ppc with your default pst file.

Thats indeed what happens.
But how do i get that part of the Calender to sync with the main .pst?
I did in once before, but i used a different .pst file, i think that was configured to link upto the main pst.
Its strange, becuase this .pst that i loaded for the sports event created a second type of calendar, i dont know how to set it to sync with main!
Any ideas??
Thanks guys!
As I understand it, ActiveSync, will only sync the default folders in your OutLook account, i.e. the ones in your exchange server. However, you can specify to Outlook to deliver new mail, appointments, etc. to a pst file automatically, thus making the folders (calendar, contacts, mail, etc.) in the pst file available for syncing to the PPC. This is they way I have setup my PC at the moment. Merely "importing" the pst file to Outlook will not change the default folders that are used to deliver new items and to sync with the exchange server and the PPC. This is why you can see the 2 calendars side by side. If you only want to have some specific appointments made available to the PPC I would recommend just copying them to the default calendar folder.

Hi!
Where is the default calender folder located?
Thanks alot!
(If i copy this .pst to that folder, will it sync??)
Thanks
I'm afraid is not that simple... In the screenshot my PST folders (personal) are on top and my default Outlook Folders are below. In your case your default folder is "CALENDAR" and your PST Folder is "Super 14". Simply copying the folder inside outlook will just create a "Calendar2" folder below the default one. The easiest way would be:
1. Open the "Super 14" Calendar which contains the appointments you want to sync to the PPC.
2. Change the VIEW to "ALL APPOINTMENTS".
2. Then, EDIT -> SELECT ALL.
3. Now you can either EDIT->COPY and EDIT->PASTE them into your "CALENDAR" folder OR move (EDIT->MOVE TO) them there. BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT ONCE THEY ARE MOVED IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE THEM FROM THAT CALENDAR, OR TO RETURN THEM TO OLD ONE.
Try it first with a couple of appointments and see if you can sync them to the PPC.
Make a copy of your PST file first, so you can go back if it gets screwed up.

Email notifications for new mail in subfolders

Hi all,
I am new at this forum and I just bought my Topaz a few days ago. Everything (internet, email) is working without any problems, but there is a little thing for which I haven't found a solution yet.
For the mails arriving in a subfolder (I am working with Microsoft Exchange Server), there is no notification (the green "bubble" in TouchFlo3D). I looked around for this problem, but I have started to become more and more convinced it's a big problem without a solution.
Now I am wondering, has any of you solved this?
Thanks!

To receive mail in the subfolders, you have to synchronize each folder individually. You can do this by ticking the box before the name of the subfolder when you are using ActiveSync.
But this doesn't help to get notifications... Anyone?
How to Sync subfolders in ActiveSync(Smartphone)
1) Open your inbox on Smartphone
2) Select Menu on the bottom right of the screen and then select Tools
3) Select Manage Folders
4) Place a check mark next to all folders that you wish to synchronize data for. If folders are contained within the Inbox or other folders, you can expand the folder list and select sub-folders. You can also decide to synchronize the Sent Items folder to that emails you send via your Smartphone also appear in the Sent Items folder on your desktop Outlook software.
Auto expand folders + make them bold.
Is there and setting (reg) or cab that kan auto expand folders/subfolders and make them bold when new incomming e-mail has arrived?

You have to start the E-mail (Outlook) program from start menu, not just the "Mail" from the Notification.
In Outlook you can choose from subfolders list.

Removing double Outlook and Today icon from start menu

Hi,
I had Outlook shortcut (which is folder with another 4 icons) in Office Mobile folder which is directly in start menu. Then I wanted to move Outlook to the top (still inside Office Mobile folder), but instead of moving it to top of Office Mobile icons it was copied to the root of start menu and moved to top there.
I wanted to delete it with Resco Explorer, but problem is, that it's not located in Windows\Start menu\Programs. But the original copy of Outlook icon can be found inside the Office Mobile folder.
Can Today icon be somehow removed from Start menu?
Thaks.
Someone please, this is driving me crazy
look at:- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items
Thanks, but i couldn't find anything useful there
