I have not found a thread about this, but would come in handy here in the General Section..
How about a list of all known model names? For example the Tmobile Dash is the Excaliber....
would be nice to know what phones are named what to know what forum to look into, could even hyper link the post so it would be something like this....
Excaliber: AKA T-Mobile Dash, (other name), (other name)
it would just be a double listing of the wiki

I have just got a 8925 but i want to add some roms to it: ultimate launch, pocket cm, ifonz, & iphone interface. I am not sure of the best way to do this. Should they be added all at the same time, or do i have to add them one by one? Also i am not sure how to unlock the phone so that I can add these apps to the device. I have searched the forums and I haven't found a tutorial for this.
Any ideas?

These are not rom's ....these are programs.....Rom's ....is changing the software inside your phone...what you are asking , you can find them reading the WIKI. the programs you listed are cab. files.......read the wiki

I'd go back a stage further - read lots, starting with our forum rules. Don't post the same simple question in 2 or 3 forums - it DOES get you noticed, but pisses off other members who have to read your un-researched drivel twice.

I have a sprint mogul. All i wanted to do to my phone was to make it look like a Diamond. E.G. today page, windows media player diamond skin, phone dialer keypad, etc.
This forum is so huge, and everything is so very spread around. If there is not one 'master' thread already, how about have a 'master' HTC Diamond thread where all downloads/cabs for the diamond conversion could be stored? Or have a dowload page for this. If there is something like this. I apologize as I looked but did not see. Thus warranting deleting this post. C'mon, can ya make it easy on us?
Because this is not a program repositoy website, this is a developer forum. if you would like to download any of the software provided by the xda developers you can use the search function or the wiki.
If you would like to put together a list all members are welcome to edit the wiki, and so of course you are more than welcome to do this

I got bored one day and saw some requests for a "prettier" interface for the forum.... that obviously is a long way off if it ever happens (because this is a forum), but here is something to tie you over
Let me know what you guys think or if you want anything added, i already found a few bugs on my own and fixed them so this is like draft 1.1.

Basically all it is is all the links in the forum directory laid out in an aero theme.
I just compiled everything in paint.net and used html image mapping for all the links.
Any likes or dislikes? Should i add or remove anything? Do you think its useful?

We are adding a commonly asked questions and answer's section (like how to flash your first rom ect.)
Here is the list we have so far:
A guide to flashing your first Rom
How to install Programs on your ppc.
An articles over the diferences between different spl's and what they do
A list of places where people can download programs (such as freeware sites)
Maybe a list of common hacks?
A list of must have programs
Adding it as a refrence for the Q&A section (since we get those questions over there all the time)
Any suggestions to the list? or anything else you would like to see on the site?
I like the old style. its almost easyer to see if there are any new post etc..

ya i can't pull info such as recent posts (or atleast i don't know how to) but its more of just a fun thing i did when i got bred
PS... the commonly asked Q&A will just be hosted in the same place. That way i can use html to make it a little esier/"prettier" to read. I have a little more control over what goes where and how ect.
i'm not trying by aymeans to recreate xda... just help supplement it

I has subscribed to a few forums (like HTC Tytn2 Android Dev) and they show in my control panel fine, but one doesn't, its the "HTC Vogue Andriod Dev), this refuses to show up, even when there are new posts.
I noticed its tucked away in the 'Legacy' section of this website, I don't know if this has an affect on its behaviour.
So how can I get this forum to display in my User CP, like the rest. BTW threads in that forum show up fine, just not the forum itself.
I would like this to work, because this forum is so hard to find, now that its tucked away, it doesn't appear in the 'jump to' list at all, so I need a short cut to it, so I thought subscribing to it would help.
Please can you help me here? As I am keen to keep up to date with the Kiaser and Vouge Android developments.

I always thought the foums here at XDA were little counter-intuitive at times as far as navigation, but it never really mattered that much.... However, now I am stuck and cannot seem to do something rather simple... I dunno maybe I am tired.... but I thought I would ask so this doesn't become an obstacle.
I am trying to find all of my posts in this forum (HTC One-S). I didn't see an option, so I went to one of the sub-forums (like this one: One S General). Under advanced search, I entered my username in the correct place ("Find posts by..."). The result is 40 or so threads...but each thread has anywhere from 8 to 95 pages. I appreciate the helpful information to the left of each thread stating "you have X posts in this thread".... but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to bring up those posts.
[Also, I now see the widget icon next to Search All Forums on the Main Forum page... maybe I can search individual forums though that.]
But can someone tell me how to do a search which results in a page of only my posts????

On the advanced search page there is an option that lets you "show results as posts". It will show individual posts instead of threads.
Edit: nevermind they seem to have drastically simplified the advanced search and removed a lot of options. Try going to your profile page and the "Statistics" tab, then click "find all posts by syntropic".
Scroll to the top of the XDA Website where it says Welcome, "_______" <------ your name. Click on your name. Your profile should come up in the "About me" part of your profile. Scroll down toward the middle park of your profile and click on "Statistics". There should be a list that comes up. Click on "Find all posts by ______" (Your name)..

This is not the place to ask this! Just use the statistics tab in your profile, it will show you all of your posts with a marker on which forum they were posted. You could of even PMed one of the moderation team, we are here to help.
