Hi There
I has subscribed to a few forums (like HTC Tytn2 Android Dev) and they show in my control panel fine, but one doesn't, its the "HTC Vogue Andriod Dev), this refuses to show up, even when there are new posts.
I noticed its tucked away in the 'Legacy' section of this website, I don't know if this has an affect on its behaviour.
So how can I get this forum to display in my User CP, like the rest. BTW threads in that forum show up fine, just not the forum itself.
I would like this to work, because this forum is so hard to find, now that its tucked away, it doesn't appear in the 'jump to' list at all, so I need a short cut to it, so I thought subscribing to it would help.
Please can you help me here? As I am keen to keep up to date with the Kiaser and Vouge Android developments.

Hi -- who knows if a dedicated Shadow forum will be added here, so for now I created one at a freebie forum site. Don't really know what I'm doing, but it seems to be working OK. If they add a sub-forum here, I'll just cut 'n paste it all over and close the other one.

Looks like a good forum, many good sub-topics, etc.
However, I closed the page quickly, and didn't open any of the posts. Why? That idiotic background "music" is extremely annoying! I couldn't stand to keep hearing that over and over. So I closed the page, without reading any posts.
If there is any way you can get rid of that background noise, please do so. (I didn't see any way for the user to turn it off.)
I use Kaspersky Internet Suite, it has a banner-blocking feature that shields me from that -- sorry, it's a freebie site and I have no control over their ads. Hello. 2nd post here. Great site you guys have. It's so informative, it's almost overwhelming for the average user / non developer person like myself.

I have a sprint mogul. All i wanted to do to my phone was to make it look like a Diamond. E.G. today page, windows media player diamond skin, phone dialer keypad, etc.
This forum is so huge, and everything is so very spread around. If there is not one 'master' thread already, how about have a 'master' HTC Diamond thread where all downloads/cabs for the diamond conversion could be stored? Or have a dowload page for this. If there is something like this. I apologize as I looked but did not see. Thus warranting deleting this post. C'mon, can ya make it easy on us?
Because this is not a program repositoy website, this is a developer forum. if you would like to download any of the software provided by the xda developers you can use the search function or the wiki.
If you would like to put together a list all members are welcome to edit the wiki, and so of course you are more than welcome to do this

Right off the bat, let me apologize for being such a noob. But for the life of me, I cant seem to find out how to actually dual boot WinMo and Android on my TMOUS htc hd2. I have searched using every term and phrase i can think of and nothing. Please keep in mind that I am not only new to this type of stuff, but to forums as well. So then I tried to find out how to flash a rom and radio, and come up empty there too. I couldn't even find if thats all the steps to change a phone. I am willing to learn, WANT to learn, but need a little boost to get started. I am supremely interested in figuring out how to use Ubuntu on my hd2 (thats what my main computer is), but i figure thats probably harder than the rest so i didn't even search it. Please no comments on how noobish I am please. I am already aware of this fact. And if i posted this in the wrong place, or this kind of question is not allowed, moderators feel free to delete or move it (not that you need MY permission). Thanks in advance for any help on this matter, and as I said at the beginning, please forgive my noobishness.
Another Question.....
Another question I wanted to ask that I haven't yet found an answer to was whether or not a computer has to be used for anything other than loading files onto the SD card, and if so, are the programs running on the computer compatible with linux? If not, are they able to run on wine? Again any help is greatly appreciated.

Don't lurk on that phone so don't know if they have a wiki setup. Most likely do. Most phone's have wiki sections that if you read em will all the info you need. You said you're open and want to learn, keep that up.
For reference on searching, the search system is setup like a/the forum sub section, kinda like a file system.

Use the "search this forum" button here on this page to do a search on just that phone's forum. If you use the same button on the accessories main page, it will just search that phone's acc forum. Same goes if you search the xda main forum page, you'll be searching everything.
I did notice yesterday and today the search was acting up, giving me 0 results for topics I know are here, then just searched for general things like case and unlock, still nothing. That may have been the problem you were having, too.

That was the problem I was having. I would search, but come up with no or very few results. Thank you for your help. I didn't read all the stickies or even check the wiki, like i said, I'm a noob. Well, far as I am concerned this thread can be closed.
Alright, hopefully someone can help. I am running a WVGA HTC Imagio with WM6.5 and a NRG custom rom with sense 2.5. I just recently installed and then removed the newest HTC Messaging Client. Couldn't send or recieve MMS messages. Thats all fixed now, but, whenever I get a text or MMS message, the notification bubble shows in my top bar, but nowhere else, not even my unread notification on Sense. It does show up in the standard lock screen (HTC's) however.
No, it doesn't show up in Titanium either, just shows 'no new texts'.
It also doesn't show up when I use ThrottleLauncher, iPhoneToday, Infinity, Androkkid, or Home2.
So, it shows up in the lock screen, but no where else. Any ideas?
also, why is my tag or whatever showing that 'OP' thing?

Alright, got a little more information. I checked HKCU/System/State/Mesages/SMS/Unread and the 'count' register. When I send a test text, it doesn't change, it stays at 0. BUT when I change it manually to '1', then it registers in all my systems (TL, iPT, Sense 2.5, etc).
But when I remove the '1', its back to where no notifications other than in the top bar and lock screen are given. I do get the usual message notifications via sound and vibrate as well.
So, does anyone have any idea on why it works for the lock screen and top bar, but not in sense or any other UI?

As i said that your problem may be related to the ROM or the messeging client, try and post in the ROM thread ( that is the the Thread from where you got the ROM which is currently installed on your device ) or the messeging client thread.
I did not move your thread i closed it ( the thread which you posted in D&H this one )and so will i close this one.
Please post in the correct places Only.
And also your thread ( the one i shut ) did not get "lost" if you would have just gone to your profile and seen the threads created by you you would have found it.

Went through my app list, and I can't seem to find anything I didn't have for a long time time now. Nothing seems suspicious.
