Issues with text misalignment under icons in Main Apps screen [fixed!] - Nexus One Themes and Apps

I am having an issue with the following apps in the Apps screen on my Nexus
updated facebook
compass
movies
the weather channel
shopsavvy
after downloading these apps from the Market, the text under the icons seems to be off to the right in the main applications screen, but if i make a shortcut for the same app onto the home screen, the text under the icons in the home screen is properly aligned...
Anyone else having this issue?
I have firmware 2.1, Baseband 32.19.00.16U_4.02_02.14 and Kernel 2.6.29-gad36b87 [email protected] #1

ok I fixed it
Just change to another locale (eg, from UK english to US english) and its fixed.
Silly bug!

I also noticed this, a simple turn off-turn on will also solve this problem it seems!

what do you mean text misalignment? In my app menu I have apps that the word isn't spaced and 1 or 2 letters continue underneath the icon.
Is that what you mean?
if so, where did you go to change your locale?

I have this problem as well. I don't think it's the same as the ops.

Reboot fixes this

I saw the same for "Wikitude": the text started a few spaced to the right underneath the icon, as if starting with a Tab. I rebooted and the problem was fixed. Then I installed "g-Lock demo", and had the same problem. Another reboot fixed that too.

[Q] Strange issue with ADW launcher on tablet

Hi all!
Before posting i've searched in the forum for my issue with no success.
Anyway have installed adw launcher on my tablet with original rom but after some days when i enter in app drawer and rotate the tablet magically the drawer disappear
I've tried to tap the screen and the apps open correctly so the app drawer seems invisible and covered from the background.
Have tried to reboot the tablet, uninstall, re-install, delete data of adw but not solve the problem.
Anyone say how to solve the problem?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.

In ADW launcher, under settings, there should be a few options such as "transparency in tablet mode" - this would be available under the app drawer settings. Make sure you don't have two entirely different settings for horizontal and verticle as well.

[Q] Dialer keypad misses at first touch

When I want to make a phone call, I just press the phone icon on my homescreen.
What pops up is the dial app as seen on the first image.
When activating the keypad (icon with squares in the bottom middle of the screen) I do not get the dialpad but just a white area on the bottom of the screen as seen on picture 2.
Pressing the white area brings me back to possiblity of pressing the dialpad icon (first picture).
Pressing the dialpad icon for the second time brings up the dialpad correctly as seen on picture 3.
Clearing the cache does not help.
I see this problem with ART as with Dalvik.
Has anyone experienced this before as well ? I could not find anything about it.
Is this a bug of android or is there a solution for this issue.
Thanks
MotoG XT1032, unlocked BL, CWM, root, stock ROM
Have you disabled transition animations? I did & had the problem with anything less than 1.0x - putting it back up to that value sorted the dialler & it pops up first click now  Hope that helps as I'm not sure if it's a bug or not but defo annoying when it happens!

Thanks samanderson,
I assume you mean the transition animations under developer-options.
Mine were at 0 and changing them to 0.5x seems to solve the problem.
Until now the problem (bug) did not re-occur.
Thanks for sorting this out.

Overlapping notifications

So i have been modding my phone for a month now and have found several bugs that make thinks kind of difficult. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 (GT-S7275R) and installed the Cyanogen 12.1 mod and latest kernel from Kotzir. The problem is when i get a notification in the drop down menu, it overlaps with the menu and the other notifications. I understand that the transparent theme may cause this "trick" of hiding the notification behind a menu may cause it to appear behind it, but it should scroll with the menu anyways. And besides that, in the notification area the notifications overlap as well. The standard music app even has 2 notifications overlap itself. So i think there is something wrong with the grid of the notifications? Some counter that's stuck or something? Other than that, the phone is really stable and battery life has extended by 150% so i am happy, but i don't like to have to manually open every app to see what is going on, even more so if you can only open it by the notification like USB settings and such.
(i would like to post pictures but since i am new here i have to make 10 post before i can. i will as soon as i can, sorry for that)
Thanks in advance
Nevermind
This from can be closed, i moved over to android 6.0 CM13. It doesn't have the problem.
However a bit more information for other people who want to stay at the CM12.1:
1: The problem seemed to happen whenever more then one app had a notification. Just one app after a fresh reboot didn't cause anything.
2: If you pressed where the icons should be, you would still select it. This means it was just rendered wrong. This would mean the grid is fine, but there is a bugg in drawing the notifications properly.
3: Sometimes the menu would freeze and the animation would hang but the menu would still be pushed upwards when swiped up. The menu would freeze causing you to only see a stripe with a half gear and the other icons but just at the top.
4: The clock becomes visible after turning the screen 90 degrees either way.
5: Restarting the GUI via the settings menu should solve the problem. The icons still work just image swiping down with your eyes closed. swipe all the way down and press the gear icon to open settings.
Thanks to the admin who placed it to the correct category anyways.
have a nice day everyone ^^

Issues with AOSP Oreo ROM for OnePlus One

Hey guys,
I have flashed this ROM on my One two days back, and I was hoping that someone from the community could help me out with below issues that I am facing.
1. The default keyboard app keeps displaying a notification while typing, and when I directly press the home button while still typing, the keyboard stays open only. I know there used to be an option to disable this, but could not find the same in this build.
2. I feel that the camera photos are a bit blurred. I did follow the install instructions and have not made a single customization after that. Am I missing something?
Thanks.
Anyone? a little help here please.

You can swipe the notification to the right (see screenshot), press the settings symbol. Then click "all categories", then press the "keyboard section" on the screen that opens. There you can set priority to the lowest. The icon will disappear. The notification will be still there, but the icon not.
I think at the moment there is no "build in" solution on OREO roms.
Hope I could help.

I realized the cause of the issue.
If one adjusts the Font size in the Display settings, widgets disappear. Looks like a bug.
So, the solution for me was to adjust the Font size for once and don't adjust the same often.
I have the same issue. But the widgets vanished from the cover screen after a reboot of the Fold.

So, it could be a bug. Somebody needs to bring it to the attention of the relevant Samsung team.
My widgets are not disappearing, as long as i don't change the Font size in the display settings.
I'm having similar issue. If I try to add widget to ext. Home screen (at the bottom) when the screen turns off/on or when I open phone, the ext. Widget disappears - and reappears on the interior home screen (duplicate).
Although I don't think messing with font sizes will change the outcome

This is a bug. When you restart the phone and sometimes when you mess with the font size, widgets disappear.
