Network traffic monitor (GPRS etc) - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

Are there any custom roms with a network traffic monitor, so I can view (or even control / cut off) network traffic (live and cumulative) of my phone splitted by GPRS, WiFi etc. etc.?
Or else a seperate program to install (freeware)?

Try this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=376954

I already did, but it doesnt do what I want/need:
Keep track of all traffic on 1 type of interface (especially GPRS/EDGE!), also while not 'started and running', so I can see how much money Im losing on data...
Besides that, it crashes when I press Options?!

spb has a gprs monitor: http://spb.com/products/gprsmonitor/

SPB
Yes, I know, but its not free (its 20$)
For a simple app as this I won't pay, although it looks nice, and probably the money I save in data usage is less than the 20$
Edit: I have found a free version for Qtek users of SPB, and it's a GREAT app, exactly what I needed!
It can be found here: qtek.nl/_BIN/appcd/AppCD_Qtek9100_v2.zip

SPB Wireless Monitor

Works great on my new X7510!
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/wirelessmonitor/?en
works better than the old spb gprs monitor, but its without bluetooth
Can I install this together with the OLD GPRS Monitor and have them both working on the same device?
no. if you install the new one, it will deinstall the old

Thanks. I think I prefer the old version.
What I don't like about the new version is they took the small icon that can be placed on the Top Bar and just used the Today screen. On the old version, I have those 2 options at my disposal. Unless I am wrong and just totally missed out on how to show that little icon. I don't like using too many items on my today screen, so I'd rather have the small icon than a huge line stating my expenses on the today screen.

I installed the old one after installing the new one and they both work.
I liked having the task bar icon. I also needed the bluetooth monitoring as my x7501 connects via bluetooth from my other phone.

WOW... I just got a response from SPB support and they said SPB Wireless Monitor will uninstall SPB GPRS Monitor if installed.
So basically install SPB Wireless Monitor first then SPB GPRS Monitor and it will both work is what you did. I will give it a try on my Universal.
Update:
It is true that you can install both if the above suggestion were to be followed, but SPB GPRS Monitor does not work and it will also mess-up SPB Wireless Monitor. So the rule of thumb, PICK ONE.
Help
HI. i'm looking for an app like wireless monitor but Im not sure on what i should get. Any recommendations. I need one that can limit my monthly gprs usage and when it reaches the limit it cuts off all gprs till the next billing cycle. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If its free, its better. have to cut down on spending
new version
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/wirelessmonitor/history.html?de
with bluetooth-support (bt not available on x7510 *grrml*)
How SPB Wireless works and how to do it
I need to do an application that measure the data traffic from it, like last version of SBP Wireless Monitor (SPB WM), because I need to know how much Internet the user make from my application and for personal use for billing evaluation. The SPB make reports from application, but I need to automate this reports and don't want pay a license of SPB WM for each device, if is possible that I embeed it in my application.
But, how to do it? There are an API? This data could be read from Registry? Anybody know?

SWM's bluetooth connection monitoring is not supported on my D9000 (Herms), I need that, too.

[REQ] bandwidth monitor for hd2 ?

i'm looking for a simple app that keeps track of uploaded/doawnloaded data over mij mobile data connection, as i have a 2GB data limit, and my mobile provider doesn't offer any means of telling how much of that has been used up so far.
any suggestions?
i think to be honest that you will struggle to use 2gb in a month i have 500mb and the most i ahve got to is 328mb as long as it is all used on your phone
hey, i have torrents, youtube, and a shared internetconnection on it i might need to watch out
This is a great app: SPB Wireless Monitor: US$20 (Monitors every type of connection/app)
You can find some other free apps if you look around.
thanks that spb app is exactly what im looking for, think i'll buy
it's worth the money...I've used it for ages and it's the best I've found
free apps
Hi guys,
I have been looking around for something like this. I have googled but could not find a free app, maybe I am putting in the wrong words.
Do you know any free one?
Thanks
I second that - couldn't find one using google. Need a bandwidth monitor (internet usage monitor) for windows mobile 6.5

Wifi & mobile data monitor

can someone recommend a simple ap to show wifi and mobile data usage for the hd2. Preferably a freeware app.
have tried the one in the cabs repository but it doesn't work
SPB Wireless Monitor is the best solution I have found for this but it isn't free unfortunately. Worth the money though, I have used it for months.

thanks, yea i have looked at it, but it seems pricey for what it does
maybe i'm just narked that it's not built into the phone and i dont want pay to have it

[Q] Hows your data usage on Mango?

With mango...wp7 brings lot of new features and enhancements....
for exampel the people tile updates show lot of people photos from (facebook, live messenger, linkedin etc...)....fetching facebook/twitter/linkedin/messenger updates happens alot too..
there isn't any app or built in functionality to calculate the data usage (unless your carrier has an wp7 app)...
so i was wondering hows the data usage on mango?
Yes, i guess this is really one of the big things missing in Mango. It is especially annoying when i go outside the country, i have 150 mb for roaming every month and wp7 mango doesnt allow me to see how much im using, i hope that with the new SDK new apps with this functionality come out to the marketplace,.
I agree, a bandwidth monitoring application will be really useful.
Also the cellular data connection and WiFi bandwidth usage should be split.
What would be even more awesome is if we can get a breakdown of how much each application/service has used.
eg. IE has used 90MB on WiFI and 20MB on 3G, XDA Dev app has used 5MB on WiFi etc.
I think this is a must have app for smartphone users so please vote for this feature here

bandwidth monitor

Hi,
Is there an android app that will show bandwidth usage, like the old Symbian and Maemo/MeeGo app called 'JoikuSpot'?
https://mobilarena.hu/dl/cnt/2010-02/56975/joikuspot-n900.jpg
It was also a complete 'hotspot' app, but it was great to be able to see the network utilisation.
Max.
Such applications are called "Data Usage Monitor"
Enter this phrase in Google Play search and you'll get a lot of results.
Thanks. I did as you suggested but I couldn't find anything especially similar. They mostly seem to revolve around monitoring usage longer term, and attributing usage to apps. All I'm after is a realtime graphics view of the output of (eg) 'ifconfig wlp61s0 | grep bytes'....full screen, not in the status bar.

Try to use Network Monitor (free), Netmonit (free) or Network Analyzer Pro (paid)
They draw realtime graphs

Hrm. I tried the free ones, but couldn't find anything realtime (except in the status bar). Thanks for trying to help me though. I think I might try to use my old N900 and see what throughput it gives...I guess too slow, but it's worth a try. I can take a video of it too, I guess
Perhaps I'll try to make an app of my own
Regards.
