[Q] Nexus One benefit of 1st to get updates is a big advantage?

Hi,
I know that the Google Nexus One gets the Android updates faster then the others, some like the Hero got the Froyo update much later but in general especially in the latest Android Phones how much later they get the updates? This N1 advantage is so very significant that makes one choose it instead of eg the HTC Desire wich is 95% equal?

i think so,this is the reason why i choose n1 but not Desire~~however,user the latest rom is more important than others~

Anymore opinions? Desire users did you already been offer the latest 2 part update with minor bug fixes?

Read an article a few days ago that the HTC Legend is only getting Froyo this month but only in Europe
Even if the sense shell makes the android in it different that is a long time! but off course this have HTC speculation also and probably that is the biggest the reason of the delay because HTC software designers already proved that they are good. But i think that maybe Sony is even worst.
I myself couldn´t live no more without Java.

[Q] Desire-Z, Gratia or Android 3.0?

hi everyone,
i was looking for a new phone since April 2010 and now I'm about to finally buy a phone.
I'm considering of three different options: buy HTC Desire-Z, wait for HTC Gratia or to wait until HTC releases a phone on Android 2.3.
On the one hand I'm looking for a good cellphone that will serve me for at leat three years and won't break because of program bug or problem (that doesn't depend on how I used the phone) in the physical item itself.
On the other hand I'm bored of waiting and i want it "Here And Now".
Please give me some advice what should i buy.
PS. I've been reading these forums for a long time, it's my first post here because I was only reading, i was kinda "Passive Client".

If not go for Desire Z and later you will be able to port it with Gingerbread 2.3 (not 3.0)

Do you need a keyboard? Desire Z is a good option.
Otherwise, wait! Processor refresh is coming around February and it's going to be a serious leap

[Q] htc sense update for froyo devices coming with gingerbread?

So I know gingerbread is one its way, supposedly on the 6th will be the release date, and HTC is working on the new HTC sense (featured on the desire HD and and desire z) for devices with froyo ie. Incredible and EVO. I am wondering if anyone has any more information on the release date of the two or of they may come together as one thing, which we would be incredibly convenient. By the way, I have an EVO running 2.2 thanks!

2.3 upgrade bluetooth hid?

Looked everywhere for this question but will the 2.3 gingerbread upgrade install the hid bluetooth driver to htc's with the sense UI? someone please answer the question been looking everywhere for the answer

I was checking out the specs in the HTC Sensation and noticed it supports HID. I don't believe sense 2.3 supports HID, only because I haven't seen anyone mention it. And it would be a BIG deal. But apparently sense has changed their ways and we may see this feature ported to other roms. It seems sense is kind of fragmenting though, because the EVO 3D's sense appears much different than other sense's I've seen built off gingerbread. So all hope is not lost
Edit:Sensation is on sense 3.0. .. .most updated phones will be receiving 2.1

[Q] SENSE 3.0 over FOTA

Hi everyone!
Do you think that HTC will finally update our Sense version to 3.0 in our Desire S over FOTA?
I have been touching base with HTC (Greece) a few times over the last couple of months with this question and the answer is always the same
"We dont know....We have asked that question to central HTC and we still expect their asnwer"
Does anybody have anything new on this?

nah i think we will be getting 3.5 right away

Does the 3.5 have the weather feature that the 3.0 has?
From the pics i have seen the 3.5 doesnt look so good as the 3.0
Maybe its a light version of the 3.0 to shut us up.

Too early to tell....although this Sense release is aimed for the forthcoming BLISS which I've read is a phone designed for WOMEN....I ask you! what next (joke) This device is rumored to have smaller CPU, so I'm slightly concerned that they haven't taken the feature full Sense 3 and improved its usability, but simply cut it down.
They've probably removed all the decent technical features, slimmed down the functionality and have made the buttons bigger not forgetting improved the front facing camera to 8Mb just so that the Mirror app is now in HD! That will help when I put on my lip stick!
As always.....don't panic.....the developers will come to our rescue!
EDIT: In fact just seen a Bliss port on it's way in Dev section!!!!
