guys.....
is it possible to update wallpaper plus to amke compatible with Eclair? i really like this app as it supports to set portriat wallpaper and make the wallpaper non-scrollable as i want to set my son's picture as wallpaper and want to make it non-scrollable.
so wallpaper plus is the only app which does this. but unfortunately its not compatible with Eclair 2.x. and i mailed the developer about this and he/she dint reply. so i think developer isnt interested to update this app.
so i was thinking is it possible for any of our developers here to have a look at that soft if it is possible to update to make it comptible to Eclair.
btw what sort of modification does it need to update an app to make compatible to Eclair? cheers

Now there is an update on timescape (which I have only noticed after root) that add the 'themes' option to the menu
This lets us choose out of 5 themes that SE have given us access to.
So, the question is... can we hack in our own background for this theme. I am guessing not as it appears that Timescape now has 5 apks and odex files (one for each theme)
At a guess I would say that we need to build an entirely new version, which won't be possible without the Timescape source code.
This makes me sad. I would love to make my own theme for Timescape.
Ive installed the new timesacpe and I have the theme option but its empty, and iveard when your ib widget view mode that you can re agrrenge them and I cant all I can do is shake them any thoughts why?
L
How do I get the update ?
In theory you could take one of those theme apk and try to edit it. Just a theory.

Would this be possible? I love the widget on my tablet, and on my GF's nexus... but can not for the life of me find a way to get it onto my Skyrocket (2.3.5). Are my only options to wait for ICS or run a 3rd party widget (which require monkeying with the gmail.apk...)?
[edit] Or can someone point me to a place outside the skyrocket forum to request this?
One Bump in the hopes that someone has a response.

I am pretty sure that gingerbread doesn't support scrollable widgets by default. Maybe if someone could mod it to work on like launcher pro, but i doubt that. Launcher pro plus widgets would be a good option for you though.
i think gingerbread doesn't allow 3rd party app access gmail.apk, so there's no way to get a gmail widget by default.
Ahhhhh, thanks for the info. Now the other thread on modding the gmail.apk makes more sense.
Hey there,
maybe it would sound a little bit stupid, but i have wandering around and cant find anything about it. the thing is: I have an HTC Inspire, and it used to come with android Fro Yo, so when i selected a wallpaper it was the kind one that moves when you swipe from window to window and it was nice... then i changed my rom for a RCMIX with android gingerbread and then the options with wallpaper changed and it only allows you to put a steady wallpaper in portrait mode. but my brother bought a new samsung galaxy with gingerbread too, and when he wants to change his wallpaper, it asks him wheter he wants it to be landscape or portrait mode... i really want thins function on my cellphone... is there any rom with an android version that allows you to do that???? please helppppp!!!!!

Yes.

Sense 2.1, what your phone came with, had scrolling wallpaper in froyo and gingerbread. The Sense 3.0 roms I used (gb), did not. In aosp/aokp that feature will depend on your launcher.

well... it just seems that all samsung devices have both options! it just amazes me that you canĀ“t do it in this roms!!! it should be an option!
It doesn't always work on those Samsung. I know the Note was having serious issues with scrolling wallpaper. Any Android phone can give you this option. If you insist on running Sense, you will be limited to the features of whichever version you use.

Actually its perfectly fine.
Just load a up a launcher from the play store. heres one
(^And if that launcher doesn't work then you can find another one that supports your needs)
Then in the drawer at the top right (Button)you can organize a group and deselect apps that you don't want displayed.
Even in the settings you can put a password on it too and customize all the colors, transitions, gestures, and animations! (It's awesome! I even bought adw launcher ex too)
The beauty of android is that you can replace nearly anything straight out of the box and fully customize the OS to your liking.
I remember someone posting a rotating lock screen here last year, with a minor bug that had the lock screen's landscape wallpaper stuck to whatever was in the apk. (If I remember correctly, the landscape wallpaper was a cornfield)
I think it was sir OptimusRS that made one.
I'm looking for it again so that it could match with the rotating homescreen by member kaanmete. That, and, I may have found a workaround for the landscape wallpaper.
Although, if anyone has the time, can someone please port the Jelly Bean lock screen instead? Like what kaanmete did with the home screen, weather widget, etc.

Heya,
the new nameless KitKat ROM (4.4.4) for our p920 has a "rotating" lockscreen. It is not supposed to be like that Id say, but it is "working". :highfive:
Feel free to have a look.

If it is running the LG UI 4, then it is supposed to be like that. Much like how other versions of the UI 3 are able to rotate the home screen (currently using a version by member @Impact7).
As excited as I am about this new rom, unless it's fully working, I'll stick to the official firmware and figure out how to do more things with just ICS (for now).
