after i format my computer i cant run the ROM with BIN extension .my computer doesn't recognized . but before i was run it like EXE filre without any problem.plz what software i have to install to let it work.

Anyone (ITSME/BUZZ are you listening!?!) know a way of using an MS format BIN file to flash the magician?
Tried converting using OSImageTool.exe, but when I dump to SD and hard reset with power & camera, I dont get the prompt to flash (do when I extract my orig rom, then extract that to nb1 using ntrw, then back again to card from same nb1 file)....
Isn't BIN just an image format that you can mount in Windows with third party tools like Alcohol 120% or Deamontools?
possibly, but I platform builder creates a bin file, and its this i need to get to the magician. (PB doesnt seem to allow me to connect via usb - serial connection only....)
The thinking is to convert it to a format that romupdate/romupgradeut will be able to use...

is there a way to get the cab file from a EXE setup..
i have many EXE install file on my phone.. but i cant install them by phone.. they can be only installed on PC..
i want to get the CAB file from inside them.. and put into my phone. then isntall on PDA..
how can i do that???
Try opening the file on your PC with either WinZip or WinRAR, you may find the CAB somewhere inside.
The other way is to run the install on your PC and before you connect your PDA search the PC for the CAB file and copy it somewhere safe.
I broke my usb connector port. So Im stuck with the same rom, Is there any program that can let me load a rom on my i900, and then flash? I dont think file explorer lets u open .exe roms Maybe total commander?
maybe you need to extract .bin file and flash using sd card. executable for desctop pc won't run on ppc.
hiii friends..i m new user for xda developer..plz help me..i wanna know somthing from u..i download american android..its in RAR format..when i extract it it gives me 5 0r 6 files..when i select ad recovery i cant find it in my sd card..although i copy paste this to sd card..on the other side the winrar ZIP folder always selected in ad recovery..i used android in htc hd2..i know that RAR format uses only in window mobile..but i dont wanna use window mobile ..i wanna american android over my android..other method i used to flash by usb flasher..and i use dft files..plz help me, how can i flash rar folder or how can i use this folder in ad recovery..if any other thing is need to be done plz send me link to all those things which i need for using RAR formats for instaling ROMs..i have BoxmaX+KS+v8.1.SD also in winrar archive..i cant use this ROM also..:
When the kdz tool used to work on my pc which it no longer doesn't because my pc and laptop won't recognize my phone while its in S/W Update Mode. I recall seeing adb.exe file running in my task manager. Is this file the reason why my pc and laptop won't see my my phone anymore in S/W Mode cause I no longer see it in task manager running when I try to do the kdz flash? I ran a search for adb.exe on my pc and laptop with hidden files and folders enabled and the search turned up nothing. If this file is indeed responsible for my troubles, how can I get it back? Do I need to install andriod sdk to get it back?
