where is the Xfinity TV app?

All my other android devices can download the app from the market.. I cannot from the app market with my xoom.. can anyone else find it? please help
If you cannot find it it is most likely because Comcast decided it is not compatible with Honeycomb, thus it won't show up in the Market. As a control, check the web market (http://market.android.com), search for the app, and see if the Xoom shows as compatible device. If not, you might want to try sideloading the apk.
I am using this one here. It works decently. It is also on my HD2 running gingerbread. Scrolling is a bit choppy.

When viewing the app in market (on other phones, or the web), the description does say its not compatible for tablets.
In Comcast's support forums, they also say its not compatible with tablets.
If you really want it.. install it on your phone, back up the app with Astro File Manager (or the like), copy the APK over to your Xoom and install it.
I'll admit I have mixed results using the Xfinity TV and Xfinity Mobile apps on my Xoom.

[Q] Downloading from the market on a PC

A friend of mine wants to buy a Desire S. He won't have 3G in his subscription for the mobile phone. In other words: the phone could only have an internet-connection by using WiFi.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have a WiFi access point in his house, because his father can not stand the radiation. All the internet-connections in his house are wired, and none of the neighbours have an unsecured WiFi access point.
So, this would mean he can't use the market, because the phone can't be connected to internet at his house. Ofcourse, he could download apps at school or at one of his friend's houses, but this is a bit unpractical.
In other words; I am looking for a certain app on the PC or a website, which can browse through the Market, and download the APKs, so he can install them manually (only the free ones ofcourse).
I already checked AndroLib and Cyrket, but none of them provides a downloadlink, only a QR-code.
Is there any alternative, or is the only way of downloading apps at his house searching APKs manually by using Google?
Thanks in advance.
That's a tough one. You can browse the market from any browser. You just need to go to https://market.android.com/.
However, when you "purchase" an app, it will only send via cellular, not internet.
I wish you luck on this.
Well, you could do that on Nokia phones by accessing the 'ovi' site and using some parameters to make the site "think" you were accessing using a mobile phone. In Android Market I don't think you can do that... But there's a way to get the programs needed: with YOUR help !!!
If you have an Android phone, you can download the apps he needs and then backup them using Titanium Backup or App Backup and Reinstall. The 'apk' files will be saved in a directory and you can send them to your friend by bluetooth, or put then on a usb pen...
But... let me tell you this: the Android phone relies SO MUCH in internet data that not having wifi nor 3g subscription is almost a crime, specially having a Desire S !!!
Thanks for the help guys!
Guess I'll have to help him whenever he wants new apps, but that isn't a big deal.
At least there is another one who switched to Android
just google the file and youll get the app.

its been explained to me that hulu isnt free on android so i deleted post
I doubt you will find anyone who will tell you how to watch hulu+ for free when its a paid service.
Most Hulu+ threads that are around were about getting the app to work on the thunderbolt. If you want to watch it, you have to pay the fee.
You can try using standard Hulu thru the browser, just put the browser in desktop mode and see if that will work. Mobile view will not. There was a thread here that had a file that you could replace the standard files to let you watch on your phone. That worked for me.

file share wirelessly

Want to share file with your laptop wirelessly? i found the answer, just download samba fileshare from google playstore and connect your phone and pc on the same network, then you can transfer your files wirelessly. you can see how to do it on playstore. It requires ROOT Access.
Airdroid
Another way to do that is Airdroid, even though I never tried the app you mentioned it sounds like it would work just the same way. Plus it does not require root access as far as I remember.
Sent from my LG-P940 using xda app-developers app
Bump (App)
Bump also works pretty well. There is a website you go to on your computer over the same network to share files with your phone.
I use Airdroid.
There is already a thread for discussing various apps...including file transfer apps. It is Here.
Thanks!

[Q] Spoofing an app as tablet form on phone?

So the Battlelog app for android if you are running a tablet lets you use commander mode in the full game (basically play a mini strategy game from anywhere against real pc players) and command from wherever you go.
Would I be able to spoof my nexus 4 into a tablet just to do this without having to buy one?
I am currently running Paranoid Android so this should be possible but I am unable to increase the size of the battlelog app from Hybrid settings.
So when the game comes out in 10 days this should be possible right?
I would love to take Battlefield 4 with me anywhere and command on the go.
If there is a separate tablet apk let me know.
Can anyone please answer this?

I have not been able to spoof my phone ,but I have found a copy of the OBB data and an apk
Just Google the app and find a trusted source
Keep in mind its going to be kinda small
Or if your rooted which I suppose you are you can use this app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2146216
