Samsung i900 Omnia is “more than a phone”, this slogan from samsung. And since the Samsung i900 Omnia boasts loads of character and personality it’s no wonder it holds the crowd hooked ever since it was announced. The Samsung Omnia is four and a half inches by just over two inches, and about a half inch thick. In other words, it carries the same dimension as the older iPhone. It feels lightweight, however, perhaps because of the smooth, plastic backing and the equally smooth Plexiglas-style front. It isn’t a featherweight – you won’t forget it in the laundry – but it is a lot lighter than it or other comparable smartphones look. And, equally surprising, the phone seems to have a solid grip despite no visible grooves. It won’t slip out of butterfingers.
But, i’m not like original operating system on samsung omnia i900, because is slow and takes a lot of memory. my solution, i’m change the original windows mobile 6.1 omnia with custom rom from modaco forum.

For Windows live download CAB (only install to phone memory).
Instructions on how to use HTC Weather are in the second post!
The ROM will startup without the HTC panels, because they considerably slow the device down. You can either turn them on with the CHomeConfigurator or choose the full theme in the settings.
If you want to use the Weather panel you have to install the Weather CAB in "My Documents" and restart. It'll start the Weather service on startup so you can update the weather.
Unfortunately it also starts HTCActivityLogExe.exe which makes the device slow and unstable (that's the hanging thing in explorer etc.). If you use the SMS and EMail panels it'll start this too.
If you do not want weather any more just disable the panel and uninstall the CAB.

If you want to use the slide in and out sounds please install the CAB. Download
If you experience problems with display timeout:
You can re-enable the display time out by installing this CAB. You can install it again and again if the value gets deleted.
There is a reg file in the archive. If you have a registry editor installed you can just import that.
Or do it yourself by going to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Power
and create a new DWORD called Display and give it a value. The value will be the display time out in seconds.
Unfortunately some programs which keep back light on will overwrite or delete it so you have to do it over and over again.
what is different in this rom to old version 0.2? havent seen one. for whom is it usefull to upgrade?

Just flashed Vox for my first time in life.
I took all flashing steps from http://maritime-billeder.dk/htc-vox.html.
So far im waiting long time on "You have the Vox with Rose v0.3!" screen.... and there it goes.
After about 2-3 min WM loaded and now its on "configuring device". Screen is flashing (smth like switchng 2 screen very fast) like hell but its working as far as i can see. 2%, 40%, 44%, 50%... i think 100%... reboot... windows mobile screen

It is battery friendly, not OC'd and the reg tweaks.
It should scroll as fast as Rose v0.4! So pretty fast in any explorer other then M$-Explorer^^

I am flashing your ROM, its taking too much time stuck at "Installing Menu_Operation.xml..." how much time does it take? is it normal?
Never had such experience with any ROM

After the cold boot this doesn't happen any more
Would it be possible to add the cabs to install the apps we want. Personally I think stripping the rom clean is a great idea but in the case of vital and very functional apps like the HTC Album & HTC Sliding Panel, they should remain. I'm personally sticking with your Rose v0.4. I haven't had any sim errors on this like v0.3 and it's been going strong for more than a month.
In regards to the missed call and unread message notifier I asked about in another thread I resolved it by installing MortScript and copying over Dr. Gonzos scripts to the correct folders. This notifier is the most simplistic and effective of it's kind (and totally free unlike Don't Forget). If anyone wants it I'll upload the files and post a link.
Again a "big thanks" for all your contributions.

1. The cold boot is very long, your Vox is not stuck, let it finish!
2. The ROM boots in English only, there is no need to ask for more languages, because the *.mui files from NeoRose don't work with this SYS!
3. If you want to change the keyboard layout go to Start Menu\Expert\Keyboard Layouts and install the respective *.cab (uninstalling brings you back to English qwerty)
4. If you want to change the startup and shutdown screens, I attached 2 CABs. One with HTC's screens and one with WM 6.1 screens!
5. If you want to us NRGZ28's background I also attached that!
6. If you want the themes without Rinku's Iconbar, install the attached CAB!
7. How to get the normal start menu icons back.
Unfortunately, with this SYS, Active Sync opens itself randomly, to stop that you have to set up a fake Exchange Server (or is you use a real one that's fine too):

Simply open Active Sync and follow the steps above!
Add a Server Source! Then enter everything as seen seen above!
You will get a E-Mail with tips in your Outlook inbox, simply delete it:
Open your text messages and click to the right (D-Pad) to get to the Outlook inbox!
After that everything is fine and Active Sync only starts when you connect it to your PC!

No, no new camera app. I have tried newer version before, but they aren't working. Probably a driver issue! And yes, the video recording capabilities are hardware dependent and can't be changed by software!

windows live messenger won't work (can't log in after reinstall app works fine), in resco explorer (when copying files) i see chinese text

not true: wifi works fine!
This ROM have preinstalled apps: 1calc, pmcleansp, documents to go, messenger, resco explorer, celetask, internet sharing, registry editor, java, notepadx, smartsearch, sim manager.
NEW Start Menu icons, NEW MediaTopBar, lots of Free RAM ( 24.70MB after SR, 26.77MB after killing AS), >36MB Free Main Memory (at clean system)
Bad mapping ID (Fn+h don't give EURO) - repair: go to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010409\ an change MappingID to 0x410(1040)

I have flashed this version and there is no wifi Button in wireless manager !!
It seems that the wireless client is not initialzed or perhaps a driver problem.

I am running crazy soft resetting the device but i have no luck to activate wifi.
Perhaps the wifi clients in the i600 are different.
Quick review
I will start with a quick review for the ones that are not familiar with WM6.5 EN 20100401 by py8.
The homescreen come with included Titanium panels, the Declacy Panel and the Card Wheel from WM6.0.
Preinstalled apps: MSN Messenger, Windows live, Java emulator, NotepadX, Adobe Reader LE, Dataviz Documents to Go (Word, Excel and SlideShow), 1calc, PmCleanSP.
CeleTask is present as Task Manager, Resco File Explorer as default explorer, and Resco Registry Editor.
Contacts has integrated Sim Manager for backup and restore.
This shabudabu version brings a new look for that ROM.
With new icons in start menu, even is not animated and with a new top status bar (battery, signal, profile, new message...) shabudabu give to old i600 new look.
Problems to solve:
- In my case, the WiFi is not show in Wireless Manager not even after a hard reset with a clean ROM.
- Today, my phone freeze during a call (no sound in conversation), worked after a soft reset. This strange "bug" (i don't know is anybody had the same problem) that appears sometimes was also present in old shabudabu version.

- Battery drain a little to fast as usual, but maybe is just a felling, not take it as a bug.
Suggestions:
The shortcuts from py8 was ok. If you can at long press or message key to change light to "level 1" instead to turn off the keyboard it would be great.
Resco Photo viewer as default photo viewer.

Shabudabu can you change background to white in start menu or make transparent icons?
BTW another preinstalled app is Phone Canvas 2G and Mortscript

I like this rom. I installed few minutes ago, i dont have a big problem yet... Wifi enabled and worked on my i600..
I cannot install shazam from market place... when i try to install, shazam gives "there is no support GDI+" error.
