Is this ROM with fast scrolling and battery friendly? if yes, i will try it for sure.
It is battery friendly, not OC'd and the reg tweaks.
It should scroll as fast as Rose v0.4! So pretty fast in any explorer other then M$-Explorer^^

I am flashing your ROM, its taking too much time stuck at "Installing Menu_Operation.xml..." how much time does it take? is it normal?
Never had such experience with any ROM
It really does take that long^^
After the cold boot this doesn't happen any more
Would it be possible to add the cabs to install the apps we want. Personally I think stripping the rom clean is a great idea but in the case of vital and very functional apps like the HTC Album & HTC Sliding Panel, they should remain. I'm personally sticking with your Rose v0.4. I haven't had any sim errors on this like v0.3 and it's been going strong for more than a month.
In regards to the missed call and unread message notifier I asked about in another thread I resolved it by installing MortScript and copying over Dr. Gonzos scripts to the correct folders. This notifier is the most simplistic and effective of it's kind (and totally free unlike Don't Forget). If anyone wants it I'll upload the files and post a link.
Again a "big thanks" for all your contributions.

Found one little glitch...
If you hit the x button in camera to exit - it takes you to the comm manager screen
tap the x again - and you are back to the home screen.
not a big issue, just posting my observations
Edit - phone froze trying to make this happen again, it got stuck opening the camera program, and just sat there, with the waiting icon spinning, and spinning......
Soft reset, and all appears good - the camera program now closes with the x - and you go straight to home screen.

Ie, it's not WinRAR, WinZip or anything. And the internet can't find an appropriate programme to use?? Any ideas?
I'm downloading all my favorites to try them all out soon.

hmm , the older rom works faster than this one no doubts as i expected
this rom lags sometimes including it doesnt have Adv Config or any registry editor

Hm, those are small and useful ad-ons, i would leave it.
And how about some changes in a default skin?
Fonts are to big by one size, and I'd change sliding panel a bit... (first thing - throwing away "ringtone" and "background" from the "setting" panel. I'm using Regedit just for that, and the skin keeps going back to default (don't know why)...)
And btw - as for this moment - how much free space on device?
I haven't flashed it to the Vox yet. For Java, just open your Java and look under About! The default skin would be Slide Panther , but the other Standard Skins are included as well! I guess I'll have a look at those setting pages. I saw the corresponding rgu some time ago, so it should be possible!
EDIT:I am just going to leave the stuff in, who nows when a IRDA driver for a device without IRDA is needed and it doesn't need much space!

What's the advantage? Smaller font? Can you install it afterwards?
EDIT: I am charging my Vox right now for a first test! If it works good I will let you beta test tomorrow! I am also thinking about releasing a new kitchen for Wm 6.1 based on Dr. G's ROM,OEM & SYS folders. But I will rewrite the *.bat s for that. So it should be easier to use the new kitchen!
It can be installed afterwards. The panels are slimmed down slightly so they don't take up as much space so allow more panel headings to be seen at once.
If you are interested in including it I'll post the relivent files for you.

Your version of WM6.1 is based on Dr. Gonzo's ROM WM6.1 1.1 ?
(Dr. Gonzo used an emulator image of WM6.1 to make his rom, not an HTC's ROM)

Nice job! Just one question - does the device freeze in Pictures and Videos, Calendar, Contacts, etc. when you press the right softkey? I think it was one of the major issues with previous Rose ROMs.

sorry! i got it today in the mornign and the link gave ma rose lite v0,41 i wonderd but thought itll be allright.
now getting the new rom
stable and very very fast. no boring waitings after pressing start and things like that (sometime happens in other heavy roms).
comm manager works great (I had some problems before)
seems an awesome rom.... battery cant tell anything yet

Hello frauhotelmann,
Thank you for all the time you spend in aiding peoples queries supplying unbiased helpful info and useful roms/files.
There's just one small thing I have become accustomed to and that's a little mod Dr. Gonzo placed in 2 of his rom's. The phone will vibrate every 5 min when a missed call or message is received, I find this extremely useful.
Would it be possible to add this?

For Windows live download CAB (only install to phone memory).
Instructions on how to use HTC Weather are in the second post!
The ROM will startup without the HTC panels, because they considerably slow the device down. You can either turn them on with the CHomeConfigurator or choose the full theme in the settings.
If you want to use the Weather panel you have to install the Weather CAB in "My Documents" and restart. It'll start the Weather service on startup so you can update the weather.
Unfortunately it also starts HTCActivityLogExe.exe which makes the device slow and unstable (that's the hanging thing in explorer etc.). If you use the SMS and EMail panels it'll start this too.
If you do not want weather any more just disable the panel and uninstall the CAB.

If you want to use the slide in and out sounds please install the CAB. Download
If you experience problems with display timeout:
You can re-enable the display time out by installing this CAB. You can install it again and again if the value gets deleted.
There is a reg file in the archive. If you have a registry editor installed you can just import that.
Or do it yourself by going to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Power
and create a new DWORD called Display and give it a value. The value will be the display time out in seconds.
Unfortunately some programs which keep back light on will overwrite or delete it so you have to do it over and over again.
what is different in this rom to old version 0.2? havent seen one. for whom is it usefull to upgrade?

Yeah, I was hoping it'll work,, but I don't know what the problem is.
The upload failed 3 times last night, so I'll try to fix the Clear Storage thing first and then upload the new version, probably in 2 parts.

Thanks for your work on this rom. Getting better and better -- I love this already installed applicatoin base.
I thought you were also one of those 96-DPI fan user base? Would you consider releasing a 96 version of your rom. I reckon I have no clue how complicated this would be, but anyhow it'll be really nice.

Just flashed Vox for my first time in life.
I took all flashing steps from http://maritime-billeder.dk/htc-vox.html.
So far im waiting long time on "You have the Vox with Rose v0.3!" screen.... and there it goes.
After about 2-3 min WM loaded and now its on "configuring device". Screen is flashing (smth like switchng 2 screen very fast) like hell but its working as far as i can see. 2%, 40%, 44%, 50%... i think 100%... reboot... windows mobile screen
YEY. Now going to test ROM and phone as well. If anything change ill post comments.

1. The cold boot is very long, your Vox is not stuck, let it finish!
2. The ROM boots in English only, there is no need to ask for more languages, because the *.mui files from NeoRose don't work with this SYS!
3. If you want to change the keyboard layout go to Start Menu\Expert\Keyboard Layouts and install the respective *.cab (uninstalling brings you back to English qwerty)
4. If you want to change the startup and shutdown screens, I attached 2 CABs. One with HTC's screens and one with WM 6.1 screens!
5. If you want to us NRGZ28's background I also attached that!
6. If you want the themes without Rinku's Iconbar, install the attached CAB!
7. How to get the normal start menu icons back.
Unfortunately, with this SYS, Active Sync opens itself randomly, to stop that you have to set up a fake Exchange Server (or is you use a real one that's fine too):

Simply open Active Sync and follow the steps above!
Add a Server Source! Then enter everything as seen seen above!
You will get a E-Mail with tips in your Outlook inbox, simply delete it:
Open your text messages and click to the right (D-Pad) to get to the Outlook inbox!
After that everything is fine and Active Sync only starts when you connect it to your PC!

is it possible to record videos with more pixels(say 320x240) by using another software or is the camera module not allowing it?
No, no new camera app. I have tried newer version before, but they aren't working. Probably a driver issue! And yes, the video recording capabilities are hardware dependent and can't be changed by software!
