Setting PPC Wallpaper

I was wondering if you could have a wallpaper as background and a different one for the start menu instead of using the same image?

Yes, you can, in fact many themes use different backgrounds for these.
You can change wallpapers in some theme editing program (search the forums, i don't remember its name), or simply replace the files in /windows dir:
tdywater_240_320.gif is the portrait mode wallpaper for the background
stwater_240_320.gif is the start menu background for portrait mode
tdywater_320_240.gif is the wallpaper for landscape mode
stwater_320_240 is the start menu background for landscape mode
Actual size of portrait images should be 240x294, and for landscape ones 320x214.
You can also use the same image for both landscape and portrait mode. then it's size should be 320x320, and its name tdywater.gif or stwater.gif (without dimensions in the name). If you try to use such image, make sure that you remove the landscape and portrait ones from /windows.
All these images should be in.gif format.

TF3D Theme without landscape support

I put a new theme on my phone that I really like but when I slide out the keyboard and the phone goes to landscape mode, it just rotates the screen and shows a garbled mess on the right side. Apparently the theme doesn't have landscape support. I'm not sure why a theme wouldn't support this but is there a way to change it so it looks nicer?
I believe the theme is Red Breath V2.

if its a tf3d1 theme and it doesnt support landscape, most likely it was meant from the touch diamond. which is basically a touch pro without a keyboard. back when you didnt do gsen rotate and didnt have a keyboard there was no reason to have a landscape so the first tf3d and themes didnt have one. oh and there will be no getting it to work either with that theme. enjoy your portrait only!

I would like to find a theme which can rotate in landscape for every screens.
I have installed Elegance II theme and it rotates most of screens but not the phone keyboard or the start menu for exemple
can you please suggest me an existing theme which can do that or some cabs to complete the Elegance II theme ?

Just use BsB Tweaks and select the applications you want to rotate

phone in landscape?
the worst thingie is when it is in landscape mode and u receive or make call..the phone call answearing screen is in portrait mode...and never rotates to landscape.have tried bsb tweaks = no change! must get phone on portrait and then get to landscape to have phone screen on landscape mode. it changes to landscape mode but not automaticly.
so is there any way to make thios to work?

my manila is 2.5.1921...
i use only hq wallpaper patch on my device and i edit my wallpaper in my computer with hdwall 0.28..

For only the stock rom with HD patch I'm not sure. At the moment I'm using Maxmanila hometab and then you can select to use a different homescreen background then rest of the menu. I'll try to look it up for you, but you may consider using the Maxmanila mod. Because I know for sure you can use it then.

HDWall has an option called "HTC Sense v2.5 - Home Tab - No Compression".

If you are talking about the patch that makes the upper taskbar and the lower soft button bar part of the wallpaper so it is kind of full screen on Sense and Lock/Start menu, it is a system wide patch so it means it will appear on every screen.

Uninstall the patch and select the wallpaper in Manila settings. Then it will be displayed only on the hometab.... unfortunately you won't have the wallpaper in the taksbar and bottombar. You could recreate those two (top and bottom) images and set them in registry, but then they appear everywhere again.
For so far as I know these are the only options.

How do I use my own Panoramic background with MaxManila (instead of the stock one)

I installed MaxManilla 2.5 and I selected the "P" on the wallpaper option, now I have the panoramic wallpaper that came with MaxManila... but I wanted to know how I can change it to any panoramic wallpaper...
