[REQ] Bring the SPRINT-clock to the HD2

Hi Max and all you other skinners out there!
I'd like to request the Sprint clock (in white, not flipping) and a transparent background for the clock (in combination with the weather display) for the HD2. I tried so many things with MaxTTM (not the ultimate layout, which looks great but has way to many features for me *ggg*) but didn't get that working. Anythin I did corrupted the layout.
Maybe there is already a solution for that and I'm to blind to find it If so than please advice guys
Also a great set of black and white icons for the slider would be nice I really don't like the "colorful" stuff...

Tried that before but I didn't like it because of the "flipping" which doesn't look good with transparent background. Numbers look distorted when the numers flip...

Add Disable Clock Flip
For that, there 's a cab named "Touch_X_Homescreen_Flip_clock_OFF" and it works fine for me.

AFAIK, this only disables the clock animation when you return to the home screen, i.e. when the clock goes 1 hour and 2 mins back and then flips to the actual time. The normal flipping of the clock is not disabled by this cab.

Would love a sprint clock as well. Contacted dragonsoft see if he can help as he seems to have done a few nice clocks.

Did anyone get any further with this? Loved the sprint on my Diamond, now want it for my HD2

in the 4th post you will find sprint clocks. Only to use with MaxTTM or Max Manila.

cheers, i had seen & played with Max-Manila but wasn't over keen. not a great lover of 3rd party software plus i like to get my hands dirty if you know what i mean.

[Issue] Home Tab Wallpaper

hey guys,
Just wondering why i am not able to change my home tab wallpaper...for some reason it is not changing, it is staying black background!
after hard reset i was able to change it without any problem however after instaling several essential HD2 cabs (20 shortcut, and many others that are available on this forum) I am not able to replace the default one. Usually there is a message poping up asking you whether you want change the wall paper to the default one, but i am not getting it.
Ironically i am capabe of changing it to the animated wall paper...I am really puzzled!!!
Can anyone help please?

Use the animated wallpaper option, but browse to the wallpaper of your choice instead.
If that doesn't work then one of the "essential" cabs that you have installed has caused the problem. You may be able to resolve it by uninstalling the culprit, but you may need a hard reset as not all mods get uninstalled fully.

I am afraid the alternative solution did not work!!!
now the question remain which cab is causing the conflict?
thats what i have installed\:
20 home screen shortcut
BSB tweak
disable auto device lock
keypad led cotrol
mark all emails read
Touch X bluetooth
touch x task manager
touch x reset
xda shutdown
torch button
audio recen_ (record conversation)
mark all emails read

I've got the same problem..
From the cabs you have installed, I installed these too:
20 home screen shortcut

it is definetly the 20 shortcut, i have unistalled it and it worked fine.
so i guess we know what the problem is...but had to install the 20 shortcut back because it is very usefull

True, it is the shortcut-cab that causes the problem. But after selecting my new background and re-installing the shortcut-cab, the problem is back.

Have you tried using HDWall to create your wallpaper? I use it because I want the same wallpaper on all the tabs, and I also use the 20 quicklinks cab and they work together fine.

have not atually...searched it and did not want do something wrong, i can live with black background

Well, I tried to manage it but it worked not perfectly. I got an other wallpaper at the background, but parts of it where missing (a black bar above the sliderbar). That's why I uninstalled it and now have to deal with the black background also, waiting for someone else finding a fix

I had the same problem with the latest version of HDWall (v0.28b), but the previous version (v0.27b) worked fine. Just make sure you go into the config screen and ensure you're making cabs for WM6.5 and Sense 2.5.
Edit:
I've just tried v0.28b again, and it works as long as you install the "High Quality Wallpaper for Home Tab & Manila Start Menu by Co0kieMonster".
It now fills the screen correctly, and is higher resolution than the previous versions. It looks great now!

Great, that's better! Only one 'problem' left, I want the bottom of the screen (with 'contact'-button and 'menu'-button @ homescreen) to be black instead of the color from the background. Is there any way I can change that?

This is a bit poor, I know, but it works.
Open Settings (or All Settings from the settings tab), and go to Today. Change the theme and click OK. Then, open the Today settings again and change the theme back (I assume you want HTC Black, from your comment). Click OK and it's done.

cleanest way to get notification icons

what is the best way to show missed calls \ sms etc in the home page. or in the notification toolbar
the less stuff I need to install around it, the better
I would prefer not install max manilla really.
and if I had to, then I dont want it to change the look on my HD2

Just use Co0kie's Home tab it shows missed called etc with minimal change of the homescreen, use the search function to find the thread hope this helps ^^

it increase number of shortcus (makes them smaller).
also it changes few things in the layout which i dont like much

You can turn off all the things that change the layout so that it looks exactly the same as default. Everything in Co0kie's home tab is optional.

I dont have notification in the top bar,
it would be nice if I can see all the changes in one place really, ideally the lock screen but I dont want S2U2.

Sorry mate - my bad. The next release, which is imminent, will have 3x3 back, as well as number of quicklink pages, so you don't have to have the left and right ones (if you don't want them).

[REQ] ONLY Call History button on home screen

I know it's been discussed a lot and I know that there are already multiple threads about this, but I'm looking for a cab with ONLY Call History button above Calendar.
Some of you will say that there is Cokie (or whatever name it was) and there is Jamrecords 16 Shcut & Calls, but I do not want those. Cokie for example disables swipes between screens, but I use that option to go from home tab to People. Jamrecords 16 Shcut & Calls has only 16 icons on home screen, I use 20 icons.
I also do not want any fancy icons or whatever, I just want the button with the black and white icon.

You can use Co0kie's Home Tab for this. You can turn off all the other features and it does not stop you from sweeping from tab to tab. That was in a very early version and was fixed quite some time ago.

Thanks johncmolyneux for your answer. You are right that I can install Co0kie's Home Tab and turn everything off only leaving the Call History button, but I really don't like the idea to install such a huge addon and only using it for a button. That's why I'm looking for an option just to add this button.
After an hour of digging I really can't find a standalone solution for this. And I do not have the time to dig into windows mobile to create such a solution by myself.

+1 for just the Call History and if possible without the Calendar as I never use the phones calendar for appointments so would rather get rid of it. I've been searching all morning/afternoon so far and I know Cookie's app does this but I don't want everything else I'm happy with my phone in it's stock form would just like this little add-on. Does this exist?

CHT Notifications - assigning another action

Hi everyone,
I use CHT 1.8.5.
I put on my screen 3 notification icons (CHT feature) - miss.calls, sms, e-mail.
I use manila but on my slider there is no sms card or e-mail card.
When sms,calls,e-mail comes, notification shows number. When I tap on miss.calls notification button, it works and it opens.
But when I tap on the other buttons nothing happens - notifications show there is an e-mail, sms, but tapping on them doesnt open my e-mail account or sms-client.
Can it be "fixed"?

Should work. Switch to CHT 2.0 - much more to play with, loads still to come and SMS/Email notifications definitely working there (plus slick new SMS and email widgets too...)

thx, I know CHT 2.0 has much more features. But as far as i know it's no stable, has some buges etc, it's beta. so i must wait.
but I now in 1.8.5 it should work this properly but it doesnt maybe because i have disabled e-mail sms manila card disabled. i dont like them
so does anybody know the trick to do it? something in the registry?

its still beta, so i would wait for alpha release..

My CHT works great, but i dont know why pushing these notification buttons works onlu with missed calls, and doesnt with email and sms.

I dont see why you wouldnt at least try 2.0 and see if you get any bugs.....
ive been using it for a while now and havent had any "major" bugs....
had some quicklinks move around a few times but not since the first alpha...
When you consider the amount of people saying its unstable compared to the amount of people using it........... looks like a pretty solid beta to me...
I wouldnt expect to see the final version for a while because the beta is performing well........
back to your problem.......
I dont think it will work if you turn off the tabs/cards....
have you tried turning them on and testing your notification icon......

you must have the tabs enabled for then to work....
the only way to change this would be to edit the code of cht.....
