how can i remove some programs that are not in the settings-application-remove programms list? for example copilot etc?
i think copoliot is cooked into the rom therefore you cannot delete it

Hey just wondering how i can delete some of these pre-installed programs such as msn live or such? any ideas?
I understand this really is a WM 6.1 question but I am really having a heck of a time getting any info on this, I have a number of ".cab" files which I no longer wish to use. They are line items in the install/uninstall view of WM6.1 syncing.
How can I remove the entries for these? I don't use nor will I install so I want them to go away.
There is no entry for them in the formal Uninstall location. So that is not the answer. Where are these dangling cabs kept?

Okay, further research has found an answer hopefully this will help someone else:
I am using C:\Program Files\CABviaActiveSync and the cabs are stored in that folder. Deleting them (I only deleted unchecked cabs) removed them from the Install ActiveSync program!

Just an update. With the latest version of WMDC (6.1), the location on the PC is C:\WINDOWS\WindowsMobile.
I see the WMDC is located there, but I don't see any cab files. Are they stored there as well?
For all of those running WM6.5 with the Titanium homepage I have a question.
I've done considerable searching and have not been able to find a way to add more programs to the list of favorites on the WM6.5 Titanium homepage. I don't use Internet Explorer, nor do I care about windowsmedia.com or exploring windows mobile.
Can this be done?

I have to store lots of sms for my business. Problem is my smartphone with WM 6.1 or 6.5 cant store them into separated folder.
So I make this thread to ask whether a sms folder manager software that can sold my problem exist or not.....

is their a tool to back up my apps cause im going to change roms also can i just copy my program files and will that give me my apps in the new rom? also if i do that will i get the icons and the ability to uninstall them?
There are many backup apps for WinMobile, such as Sprite Backup and SPB Backup, but be aware that if you change ROM, the backup won't be restored correctly. In this case, you will have to reinstall again everything you had before. Maybe Microsoft Myphone can do better..but I never tried and I would be extremely surprised.
i have change rom and i use pim backup, spb backup and sprite backup for messages, mail, call list. You can also use myphone.
For contacts and appointements i use actyvesync.
I re-install all programs with cabs, i don't thinks if you copy your programfiles it would work. For me all my cab for WM6.1 works with WM6.5.
