Speedtest Internet - Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps

At a dutch news website there was an article about internet providers saying they give you much speed but after checkin they doesn't. I found this website: http://www.speedtest.net/ Offcourse they have an iPhone app, but as many know not a WM version (damn I hate that). Does anybody a kind off app like that?

Just use your phone as a modem, then test the speed from your PC.

http://www.speedtest.nl
Goto http://www.speedtest.nl
Works for me with Opera.
Edit:
Although it seems to work the download speeds are enorm!
When is test is with my PC i get a average of 900 KBytes/sec (approx. 7000kbps).
But with my phone over WIFI the average is 12700 KBytes/sec (approx. 101000kbps) !!!
That is of course to good to be tru.
Maybe it works over GPRS and/or 3G (i don't use them).

If you want test your mobile speed, look my signature.

750 On Cingular...How can I make it faster???

Hey guys, new to the WinMobile and Cingular and the Treo for that fact.
I have searched this board (maybe I am using the wrong search terms??) but I am trying to find a way to tweak my 3G connection and get it running as fast as possible.
Right now here is what a test is giving me:
151kbit/second...
153kbit/sec
198kbit/sec
That right???
When doing the speed test are you doing while it shows a "U" on the top part of the phone? You may be doing the speed test while the "G" is showing. Where I am I get speeds @ about 392-397 w/o the HSDPA hack.
I was in a U area...I reran it and I got 350kb.
Going to look for the HSPDA hack...Have a link by chance?

I have tried that one and it gives my an FATAL ERROR!! message. Exactly as i show you here. With Caps.... It looks like it is what i need but that error... Thats why i ask this here, maybe there ar more apps that can help me out. Anyway, thanks for your reply.
You could always purchase the commercial version. I'm not sure of the FATAL ERROR is fixed. Searching that thread says ChainFire knows about it, but not what fixes it.

Do you have internet connection sharing installed?
It works flawlessly on my Polaris and does exactly what you want.

New HTC Wifi Router app not working??
Folks,
So I downloaded the great HTC application from XDA that allows these phones to be used as wifi routers once connected to a data service. It works great on my Sprint Touch Pro, but when using the Touch Cruise on AT&T, it connects to the HSDPA and indicates the application is ready to accept connections but unfortunately it does not seem to be creating a "hotspot". I have been unable to locate it on my laptop unlike when this app is running on my Touch Pro. At any rate, I realize it may not be compatible with all HTC phones and that may be the case here. Just wondering if anyone has had any success with it on the Touch Cruise and if I might somehow be doing something wrong with it.

Skype

I have downloaded and installed the new version of skype mobile but when I try the test call the qualaty is very bad. Also with a headset!!
How is your experience?
It heavily depends on internet connection speed. GPRS is almost unusable, EDGE is little better, but WiFi is recommended. This is my own finding.

i'v sucesfully run sip to asterisk /iax too/ but only within lan - just because vox uses gsm610 and nothing else , wan calls are at this pont useless - no 726 no 729
perhaps fring or skype installed on phone are using some compression - but not stocked ms

Cell data traffic counter

Hi all !
What is the best 2G/3G traffic counter you use ? I've tried two of those and found them not good enough. I need a "per-application" details to understand who is eating the traffic.
I've tried :
Network TrafficStats from Salvation
This one wrongly shows the mixed WiFi/3G traffic numbers even been instructed NOT to count WiFi traffic. Stupid.
Traffic Counter Extended from Carl Hopf
This one looks better, but still shows some strange figures. I've just started evaluating it.

I have it, but this one is far too basic. It just counts the overall traffic. I need a detailed, per-application statistics.
Try Onavo, im using it.
Tell me what you think.
My Data Manager,
Looks Onavo seems fine. looking also for this kind of application.

Cellular speed VERYYY SLOWWW

Hi All,
I purchased my Honor6x in the US. Model BLN-L24 with EMUI version 5.0.1 and Build number BLN-L24C567B365.
I am using it in Brazil. I get very poor speed with 4G. With a Samsung S5 I get 65Mbps and with the Honor 6x 12Mbps.
What can I do to correct it? Change ROM, Apply some fixes, get different ROM to work with Brazil?
Thanks for all the help! in advance.
Maybe this has to do with modems, unfortunately it's a hardware thing, so nothing can help with that!
Modem?
Is there such a thing inside one of these?
What about a ROM change? One designed for global markets?

Thats normal I believe as long as you are able to get the full speed over normal apps. normally I see even XDA app on mobile shows slow speed and sometimes gets timeout too. Wherein if I open FB and out it in background, speed increases.
Check with speedtest app and if shows the same speed as per plan you are good.
