Have you looked at the MANY good guides in the hero forum?? If not i would suggest you go over to there and have a read

Hey, I'm getting my new at&t tilt aka "kaiser" tomorrow, i was interested in upgrading it as soon as i get it, but don't have a clue where to start, is there anyone who can somehow provide a tutorial on how to get started and what software will i need to get the job done, any help will greatly be appreciated!

don't touch anything until you are sure & comfortable with it ... you will brick your device if you don't know what you are doing !!

i knw and i have been working and searching and the problem is i couldnt get it all together because ppl kept confusing me so i think it would be appericated if you can help me please?

Although there are alot of post to comprehend, we are not going to spoon feed you. Work to gain what you want, nothing is easy. Feel better to work for it anyways.
after flashing a different radio why does hct hero get bricked ? ? ? i am gonna work on this...share wiht me what do you guys know ? ?
Some guy has made a article cant remeber where i seen it but he's found a way to unbrick the phone

Ive ran alpharev sucessfully and got S-Off HBOOT-6.01.1002
now where do i go from here to root the phone and then get a custom rom on it.
Ive read a link to wiki on fast boot and many others now my head hurts.
plz help with laymans terms or a link to an idiots guide
