Hi I have a Sprint treo Pro and have been trying to install hard spl but keep getting error code 260 I have followed all th advise in the instuctions and manuals but it still gives same error any help would be appreciated
What are your computer configurations?
Does the phone goes into the boot loader? (the tricolor screen)
Does it appear as another device on your computer? (a Quallcomm thingy)
Did you try changing the USB port after it goes into the boot loader?
Zero Progress
I am using windows seven and have tried to unlock my phone using Comdex spl I have tried usb and sd card both go to tri colored sreeen whem using usb the then goes to a gray screen with progess bar that stay at zero and eventually the bootloader gives an error 262 I have followed all the steps from these threads as well as the manual that came with the download
and yes it show qaulcomm device in the devices
When using the sd card method it goes to tri bootloader screen and then does nothing left for 30 min and then soft reset to recover But it seems my phone is not go to except this upgrade I also downloaded the enabler cab file and it was no help
When it gets to the part it hangs up at, simply unplug and plug your USB cable back in.

Attached to this post is the Hard SPL I used on my Treo.
I'm also using Windows 7, and had some, if not problems, doubts when installing a Hard SPL and flasing my phone.
don't use that, you will brick. You need a cdma hspl, not a gsm one
Zero Progress
I have unplugged the usb then I get an communications error and the computer says it is an unreconized usb device to which I have to soft reset to get out of I have tried all CDME SPl and nothing work as well as tring 3 different computers so it has to be something in the phone not allowing me to unlock I have even done a hard reset and try to unlock it the and still will not

So I was flashing my first rom (NATF) and as far as I know I did everything right. HardSPL first, no programs running, etc.
As I was flashing my rom, the installer goes "ERROR" and it says I need to perform these steps. So it says to unplug it, so I do. So it says to take out the battery, so I do. So it says to put it back in and see if I get the colour bars screen - and I do.
So it says to plug the cable back in... but it doesn't recognize it. It says Serial on the bottom instead of USB. What do I do?!
The USB port on my phone isn't broken, as when I plug my phone into my charger it will turn on. Automatically. But the computer won't recognize it at all.
try flashing via Micro SD. Instructions are over at the GSM Flashing for noobs post.
I put an image file on the SD card, I turn on my phone, it goes to the regular tricolor error screen, then it goes white and says loading or something, then it says "Error no image file" and then goes back to the tricolor screen.
I don't know what to do now.
PwnCakes tried a lot of things with me, but none of them have worked so far. Anyone else??
had that problem on my tilt. It was solved by the higher powers at xda by using a jump spl and then flashing to a hard spl. Do some research and find out who made the jump spl and PM him, he is the only one that can help.
From what I've found out about JumpSPL, it is for HardSPL problems. But HardSPL installed fine.
Plus, one of the directions was to connect my phone to my PC - and my phone won't connect to my PC.
you might have corrupted your bootloader and you must install a soft spl then jockyw2001 provide me with a force usb version of the hard spl to load and then all was well. Trust me PM these two guys and they can help.
Thanks man. I'll PM them now.
Hey guys, I tried unlocking my phone but I think I ruined everything LOL.
Basically now, the phone only boots to the AT&T screen and restarts, over and over. Only turns on if connected to USB.
I followed the Kaiser Sim unlocker instructions all the way till like the 8th step and this happened. I installed the HARDSPL OLIPROF, it shows it on the tri color screen.
I can still bring it to the tri color screen, but when I connect it to computer it doesn’t show the active sync green screen (stays gray). I ran the sim unlocker again, it went to 100% complete, but phone still doesn’t turn on.
When I try to do a hard reset it stays click send, when I click send, nothing happens. I don’t know what to do. Did I permanently ruin the phone? I’ve searched Google for the past 3-4 days still can’t find an answer so I decided to post here for some help. Anything will be helpful thank you.
Your phone is fine. This part of the FAQ applies, I believe:
"*Put your phone into Bootloader and update to a 6.1 Rom first if you get a black screen after Flashing the Patched Radio*"
I had the same problem. Flash a generic 6.1 ROM such as _ATT Tilt_RUU_Kaiser_CINGULAR_WWE_3.57.502.2_radio_sign_25.88.40.05_1.65.21.18_Ship, then repeat the unlocking procedure. Instead of a blank screen, you'll see the correct prompts on your phone to complete the unlock.
thx 4 the info. i was gettin ready to try to unlock my tilt.

I downloaded that rom. It completed. The phone is still in the same condition. Wont even turn on unless its pluged to usb and when its plugged in usb it wont pass the AT&T screen(restarts over and over). Did i install an incorrect rom?
Also, theres no sim card or sd card in it. Does that matter for now?
Sorry for posting 3 times. But the second the rom completes, the phone automatically restarts, so I don’t have a chance to do anything. And active sync doesn’t detect it
Try flashing through SD card. Check Wiki for more details on how!
Also take battery off, wait 10 secs, and put if back on. Make sure the batter is charged as well.
you should have askdd in that thread as your question doesnt warrant the starting of a new thread. go back and ask there and good luck
hi all...
...I hope that you can help. Some years ago, I have flashed my polaris from o2. i then got myself an iphone and some new computers (using vista now instead of xp), so that I do not have any of the old files that I used back then to flash the phone. my father was using the xda for quite a while now. however, suddenly the device is not working any more: if you turn it on, the boot screen will appear, but then it is stuck and nothing is happening (even no rom info in the lower right corner). also a hard reset doesn't help to overcome this problem.
what I am trying now is to flash it, because I guess (and hope) that this might help. But, to be honest, I completely forgot how this works. I downloaded an original rom from this website today, but I cannot flash it to the device (stuck at 0%, getting an communication problem error). If I turn on the phone with camera button pressed down, the tricolor-screen appears reading POLA200, SPL-3.13.0000, CPLD-2. what am I doing wrong? your help is greatly appreciated.
Try flashing the rom from the tricolour-screen just make sure at the bottom of the tricolour-screen it say's usb not serial.
You will only be able to flash official roms as you don't have a stock spl not hard-spl.
thanks. I tried this one from this forum: RUU_Polaris_o2_GER_1.24.207.2_withSplash_noRadio_schaggo_[fixed]
but it did not work.
however, I now downloaded the rom from the original o2-site and it is at the moment in the process of flashing it - let's cross fingers.
damn, it did not work. I mean, the flashing succeeded, but the problem still persists: if I start the device, the start-screen appears, but that's it - nothing happens afterwards, and after some seconds, the device turns itself off again.
what could that be?
Could be the battery if the device turns itself off,try booting with the charger or usb still in.Or flash hard spl and try a different rom.
hi all friends if you are stuck on 0% and u cant install spl then do this ,,,
You can try this:
1. Stop ActiveSync
2. Open Task Manager (press Ctrl + Alt + Delete) on your PC and
stop these two processes rapimgr.exe and wcescomm.exe
3. Plug in your device via USB. Your computer should be asking install a driver. Install and continue.
4. Now Run mtty and choose USB in 'PORT'
4. type "set 16 0" without the quotes to tell bootloader to boot the OS after reset.
5. type "task 8" to get your device formatted.
6. Now unplug your device and manually reset it.
i hope you will be happy after .. thanks
Bricked?? it goes to the 3 color screen, then stuck at white Loading...
So the original Hard-SPL was flashed successfully
but when i tried to load [ROM][WM6.5.5_23569] 4.0 - Vico it gets stuck on the White Loading.... screen
How can I recover?
Thanks
P.S. : If i do a hard reset, it still goes past the 3 color screen, and then it gets stuck on the white loading... screen
Can't you reflash? like hold camera and reset to enter boot loader, then try to reflash.
I don't understand (post picture if possilbe) of "white loading screen"
You mean underneath the three colours in the white area it says "loading"? instead of "usb"?
Have you tried flashing another rom?
Remember this rom is for the x7510 device.
The point of the hardspl is that even with a bad flash you can still enter bootloader and reflash.
Make sure you don't have sd card/adapter in there ect.
Are you able to connect the device to the computer via usb and have a connection? If you do then its not bricked.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i think that was the problem the SD card
yes it was there
i tried again, and it worked....
LOL it's... been too long not using a WM phone
I had a StockSpl on my Htc touch pro and I wanted to flash an unsigned Hard-SPL from my MicroSD because I wasn't home and I didn't have the USB cable. After the screen loaded 100% the device restarted I took off the MicroSD and now it keep showing this tri-color screen:
RUUNBH
RAPH100
SPL-1.90.000
MicroP-Raph (LED) v13
MicroP-Raph (KEY) v5
PSOC-Raph STAGE_CVT v0x36
Upgrade ROM code error
Please try again
Serial.
(I've also attached a picture)
If i try to flash again from MicroSD the same HSPL it loads until 100% then restart and start to load again until i get the MicroSD card off. Or if i try to flash other StackSPL or any other ROM it stays on Loading on a grey screen.
After I went home I tried to flash the HSPL again from my computer using the USB cable, it start to load 0% then it does nothing. I've tried to flash StockSpl and other ROMs from the computer too but it does the same.
I think i've tried anything but nothing seems to work ... if someone can help me pls ... i've searched the entire forum and there's someone that had almost the same problem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=566796
but noone had any solutions.
You can't flash hard spl off your sd card; it's got to be done through a usb cable.
Just read through the hard spl thread; it's long, but your situation has probably been addressed. I did it almost 3 years ago, so I don't remember the tricks. That's the case with most posters, I'm afraid. Just read the thread.
can u pls tell me which thread?
this one?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150
or this one?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008
Either, but read the first one. You can also look in the unlocker thread. Hell, you may just want to buy the unlocker and run that. It will flash hard spl, and the directions may be better.
I just hope they aren't trying to HSPL(hard SPL) a CDMA device :S I've made the mistake to assume the person that was posting in this forum had a GSM device and they really screwed up after a third attempt at flashing HSPL!
Usually if I have a difficult time flashing my Fuze or TP(both GSM), I remove everything to include the battery, connect the USB to an available USB port on the computer then hold the volume down key while connecting the device to the USB cable. Probably not the most friendly way but it certainly will tell you if there is a problem with your USB port/cable or even device!
My htc raphael is GSM
I've tried to hold the volume down button but it's always the same
There's no problem with the cable just that I can't flash anything because I'm stuck with a stock-spl and I can't flash a hard-spl either. When I try to flash something from the computer it starts to flashing with 0% then nothing happends until the RUU gives me the 262 Error. And when i try to flash from my mSD it just stuck with a Loading screen.

Naughty Naughty..
I guess you realise now that you should ALWAYS read read read before modifying your phone in any way.
What EXACT file did you originally flash to your phone via microsd card and where did you get it from?
If you go into the bootloader screen and then connect the usb cable does it show "usb" at the bottom of the screen?
PLEASE STOP TRYING TO FLASH HARDSPL FROM MICROSD AS YOU CANT DO IT. If you could then it would be in my guide..
Mark.

Yes ... I did read the part with the SD flashing but i thought it's not a bit deal to flash from mSD since the flashing via activesync is so easy.
Well ... i extracted the RUU_Signed.nbh from the Hard-SPL found HERE and i copied it to the mSD (MicroSD) and renamed it RAPHIMG.nbh.
I restarted my phone holding the volume down button and it started to load until 100% then it restarted and showed the bootloader screen and after a couple of seconds start to flash the HSPL again so after it completed 2 or 3 times of flashing and restarted i took the battery and the mSD off (I DIDN'T TOOK THE BATTERY WHILE IT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF FLASHING). And when i started the phone again without mSD it showed the bootloader screen like it was waiting to get a .nbh file on mSD to start flashing again.
No matter what i do my phone start in bootloader and down it shows "Serial". If i connect the usb it shows "USB".
I tryed to do a hard reset and it seem to work but after it finish and the phone restarts is stuck with the same tri-colour screen.
Sry for trouble and thx again
I guess I missed the part in the OP where you said it was stuck in bootloader. That's not good. I would try flashing the stock raphael rom (assuming you have it). Have you tried that? I dunno, you may be stuck for good.

As Farmer Ted said your best bet now is to download your ORIGINAL Rom (from your provider) and flash it from your pc with the usb cable attached. The phone had to be in SSPL mode before running the RUU which is why everything was packed in a single exe. You may have corrupted your SPL in which case you have bricked your phone but if you can manage to flash a Stock Rom then the Stock SPL should be reflashed and you can start again with the HardSPL by following the CORRECT instructions and not making up your own lol.
Good luck.
Mark.
When i bought my phone, the first thing i did was to dump the rom. So now i rebuild it from raw and tried to flash but it didn't work so i went to Orange site and i downloaded the official ROM then started to flash and ... IT WORKS
I think that the ROM was corrupted not the SPL, and since the SPL was stock it didn't allow me to flash other ROMs other then the official
Thanks for all guys I couldn't done this without your help
P.S: why did it allowed me to flash the official rom but the hspl not?
It didn't flash the hard spl because you did it all wrong; those rebuilt roms aren't exactly the same as the stock roms, so it's not surprising that wouldn't flash. Good job finding the original shipped one, though.
Now, just read mskip's instructions and you should be good to go. I think the trick is just to enter bootloader, then connect to your pc through the usb cable.
