What icons have you installed?
No taskbar is working with WM6.5.3 and the VolumeOverlay. Even DJC's taskbar have the same bug. Im not even sure why the taskbar interferes with the VolumeOverlay.
With Brian's, Spike's and DJC's taskbar the HTC VolumeOverlay is disabled and the Windows volume overlay is activated.
Not that bad, except in HTCs FullScreenPlayer and Audioplayer.
I have installed first battery percentage 1%. and that messed up everything and after that nothing helps no one taskbar.
I lost htc notifications and can't get it back.
Can you please post exact link to file which caused the problem?
Don't know why this happens on 6.5.3 but it could be problem with certificates. Same thing happened to me when I forgot to sign HTCVolumeControl.dll - I had old volume overlay. It interferes because volume overlay uses same dll as the taskbar volume icons and thats the dll beeing modified. I'm not sure about the notification screen.
i have a task bar i can upload, if you like, it should work,
it's working on mine,
but, as theres so many updates coming out some of the .dll's used in the taskbars get updated too, which cause slight incompatibility's,

tnx
post it please I could try.
this causes the problem

Strange, that works fine on 1.48 WWE and it should revert back when you uninstall the cab.
You can also try my mod if you like, it works on 1.48 WWE for me
seems that doesn't revert back. I'll try your mod before hard resset.
I yust can't live without htc tasks, this old wm5.0 style is terrible.
tnx

DJC's taskbar works for me. I had the same problem, which forced me to do a hard reset, because i couldn't find any other solution. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609484
After the reset I installed DJC's taskbar which works just fine without interfering with volume overlay.

helllo.
previously in WM6 i've tray icons - colored battery indicator and commmgr icon in standart in tray.
now i have WM6 6.6.6.666 WWE and these icons are not in standart. i don't have Init_tray.exe in windows originally. now i have downloadet init_tray.exe and created shortcut in startup... after softreset i still dont have this two icons.
the only icon is a ScreenRotate - i've addet it in startup.
any idea with battery indicator in tray? commmgr icon i could create with battery status.
second question: how to hide bottom bar, not hiding task bar. vjtoggletodayiialpha.exe - this hides upper and bottom bar. tray stays, but it deform wallpaper.
thx for help.
using icons or not is 100% an application thing
different roms is missing programs
that use the trey for icons then one can often get
the programs from the old rom which does use the tray

Still using vjay's toggle. Via the registry you can change the pixel size that it shrinks to (the default setting is 4 pixels). Use about 17 for the start bar-
HK local machine\software\vijay555\toggle...
ok, i got this now.
but theres a little problem. i have putted a shortcut to vjay's toggletoday in startup. and after SR there is no tray on bottom. its show for a milisecond and disappear. i think that the problem is in order of running startup apps... first the batterystatus with tray icons, then VJToggleToday - and the tray is gone

There are programs you can use depending on your phone. HTC Custom and Schaps Config Tool both can remove everything from the tray launch.
thank you maevro for the reply..
i am surprised that i missed it

Hi, could you tell me where in Advanced Config Tool should I go in order to do that? I didn't find anything related to that - or, better said, I didn't see....
thank you
Hey,
I hard reset my phone the other day as i messed it up to go to a fresh install of NatF's 4.4
Ever since i ahve an icon in the top bar which looks like a batter with a plug going into it. This is always there and the phone is not even plugged in. How can i get rid of it?, what does it mean? - It was there on my previous install of this rom.
Also, the icons in the programs and settings menus are small, especially the text. I used to get 3 icons to a line but now get 4? - which is normal?
Thanks
Regards,
Neil

Hi Neil,
Not sure about the battery icon in your task bar but the norm is 3 icons per row in Settings and Programs. If you want to change it back to 3, NATF has a custom cab for it in his thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469450#4
If you want to make the font on the icons bigger, use Schap's Advanced Config and under "User Interface" change: "Icon title font size" default is 6 on NATF's roms.
You're still on 4.4? You know he released 4.6 today.
yeh, I would upgrade but it takes ages to reinstall all my apps and the main thing is setting everything to how I like it! - so many small options hidden everywhere which take ages to alter and fix to my liking
What's the best way of getting the battery percentage in the taskbar for WM 6.5.x? I would prefer a more stock-like look with white numbers replacing the 4 white bars on my Fuze, but I'm not closed off to other options should they be the only ones.
Try this one........
I have tried this fix on my HTC HD2 with Win 6.5, but it didn't happen anything. Nothing has changed and I can't find it to uninstall. I suppose it changes some settings in the registry or something like this.
Maybe I haven't seen it but I have looked and looked. I( have a TouchPro2 with the latest stock ram from Verizon. I believe it comes with sense 2.1 and WM 6.5. I have used various cab to make my home screen cleaned up. Most of the cabs don't work and I have tried A LOT. I managed to Remove the top and bottom curtain so my wallpaper shows through. I have a transparent slider, but the box over the selected icon is still visible. I would like to remove the box and maybe find some transparent icons. My biggest problem is that dang Verizon operator "curtain" With every cab I tried I could get the "V" logo removed, and with the personalizer, I could get rid of the text. BUT, I cant remove that semi transparent bar..grrrr. All I need is a cab for the slider "box" one to make them transparent, and a cab to remove that Verizon bar all-together. I have tried a half a dozen cabs for every problem i have and have not figured these out. Maybe it is the build..but i assume a lot of people are using the Verizon stock ROM. Would like a MR.X ROM but those don't load either.
Any help would be appreciated.
I have an problem with the touch x transparent slider cab. When I install it, the bottom sense bar is transparent but I cannot see the icon where the selection box is. I can see all the icons on the bottom fine but I cannot see the icon where the slider/selection box is. For an example, If you slide all the way to the left on to the home screen and release your finger, I cannot see the home icon in the little square slector box. It seems to cover up the icon that it is over. I hope you guys can understand what I'm talking about. Can anyone post a fix cab for this? Thank you for your help and patience!
can anyone help me with this please

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your problem, but I think what you are explaining is actually what the cab does. It makes the 'slider' (i.e. the little frame around the 'slider icons') transparent, so you cannot see it.
If you do not like this and are just asking how to get it back to the way it was before, you just need to remove the cab i.e. go into Settings, select 'Application', then 'Remove Programs', then highlight 'touch x transparent slider cab' in the list and finally, click on 'Remove'. You will probably also need to perform a 'soft reset' after that, to get rid of the change completely...
If this is not what you meant, then please consider posting a screenshot of the problem and adding it to the description on this thread.
im still not understanding your problem completely, can u clarify it for me?
His problem is that He don't see the icon on his slider selection because of the fact he don't used a transparent slider selector on a slider who have in his M9 mode the Icon you see on the slider turns off!!
But he used different combination's! so it is quit difficult to solved it!
I thin'k it will be more simpler that he make a choice on what he will and modified the m9 values of the manila file in function of his depends!
If not, it will not be easy fore anyone to make a fix cab! The last week I give him a solution, but it seem's he changed already to a other slider. the problem of the m9 file is that there are also other data of other stuff he used!
thank you for clarifying that Kurt. I guess I will just have to do with out the touch x transparent slider cab.
