However Im now using this timer program which will run for about 30 minutes. My phone is still switching off after 5 minutes though! Surely it shouldnt as this timer program is being ran.

I've been having a problem recently with my Touch Pro, every five minutes the wait cursor flashes on screen 5-7 times, make my phone lag, then stops for another five minutes. I'm not running the TF on it I use Ifonz, I have all automatic updates turned off and have my EVDO set to turn itself off after 3 min. I've opened my processes and don't notice anything out of the ordinary. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've only installed two apps since I noticed this happening (K Button and GetSportz) and have uninstalled them without it helping my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When I first turned on my note, it had the screen timeout set to 60minutes. I changed it to 30minutes and found that I can't go back to 60 minutes since it isn't listed in the menu. Is there a way to set it back to the original 60 minute time out? I'm running stock with 4.1.2.
Never seen 60 seconds .
Possible that its changable by editing the settings APK.

It was set to 60 minutes when I first got the tablet and powered it on. After doing the over the air update to 4.1.2, the maximum setting I could see was 30 minutes.
Have my Screen Timeout set to Keep Screen On on my LG G3 running 4.4.2 and something keeps resetting it back to 30 seconds. I've posted on the LG forums with no response. I've tried running Log Cat but I'm apparently too dumb to figure out how to find out what's causing the setting to change. Any thoughts?
Bump... anyone?
I think you can set the timeout on display setting, set time as you want it.
Thanks yeah... I know. I have it set to not turn off. But it still reverts to 30 seconds periodically.
I have set 2 minute timeout on my phone, and its work fine, but it will be reverts to 30 seconds if the battery is low (on state < 15%) . I'm not quite sure but i think your phone timeout setting periodically reverts is because your phone is in low battery state
My battery has never been below 50% so that's not it.
Thanks though!
Hi, i tried to reduce my screen on time from 30 sec. down to 15. sec. but if i tap on this feature in my setup, nothing changes!!!
I can only change the value with an external app. FW is b197. Any suggestions?
edit: solved
save energy mode seems to change access.
after switching to off, the time could be set.
Same goes with certain apps that change screen on time (Floatify is an example, free version sets screen on time to 15 seconds and it can't be changed)
So i just got my phone and set up my timer to wake me up for work. I don't like using an alarm because due to not having a set bed time(I work nights).
Before I went to bed I finished charging the phone to 100% and set the time for 8hr and 30 minutes and to not disturb. When the timer went off I looked at the phone was at 57%. I looked at the battery usage and it showed the clock had used over 25% of the battery.
I've never noticed this being a problem with other phones till this one. Is this normal?
I'm guessing the timer is preventing the phone from going into dose / sleep mode, or keeps waking it up regularly while it counts down
You can hold the home button to activate Google assistant and just say something like "Set an alarm for 7 hours", assistant will say "Done" and your alarm will go off in 7 hours
Try clearing it's data. Start over.
Also possible battery usage is being misreported as another app may be responsible. I've seen this happen occasionally.

Wait....you set a Timer or an Alarm? I don't think a timer would allow the phone to sleep but I wouldn't expect it to use that much batter power. Was it background or foreground usage?
I set a timer. If I read it correctly it was active usage
