I HAD a perfectly running rom a couple weeks back, was flawless, no crashes, no leaks....perfectly usable.
The problem is now in 2 parts.
The first: I cant keep myself from trying new roms, even if it is hardly any different from what i already have!
The second: I dont remember which was the rom that ran perfectly!
Now i'm soooo screwed, the last couple roms i've tried is such a nightmare to use
It leaks memory like crazy, gets real sluggish, completely comes crashing down. It crashes a billion times, the radio loses connectivity and i have to restart to get it to work again.....arghhhhh!
IF ONLY i was content with what was working and let it be.....damnit!
Now, I got to find some of the older roms and test them out again :-/

Hi San,
Imagine, using Universal just as a phone.
But, no.................
It has to be better than:
Desktop PC
Portable PC
GSM
Phone
PDA
Surf the net
Connect to whatever
Remind to be sub-servant to the other (better) half
.........
So, the never ending quest continues ......
Hey mate, remember we are talking about Universal......
Best Regards,

Hi San,
Or it could be sheer boredom or you are in love with your Universal!
I WANT A NEW DRUG
I want a new drug
One that wont make me sick
One that wont make me crash my car
Or make me feel three feet thick
I want a new drug
One that wont hurt my head
One that wont make my mouth too dry
Or make my eyes too red
One that wont make me nervous
Wondering what to do
One that makes me feel like I feel when Im with you
When Im alone with you
I want a new drug
One that wont spill
One that dont cost too much
Or come in a pill
I want a new drug
One that wont go away
One that wont keep me up all night
One that wont make me sleep all day
One that wont make me nervous
Wondering what to do
One that makes me feel like I feel when Im with you
When Im alone with you
Im alone with you baby
I want a new drug
One that does what it should
One that wont make me feel too bad
One that wont make me feel too good
I want a new drug
One with no doubt
One that wont make me talk too much
Or make my face break out
One that wont make me nervous
Wondering what to do
One that makes me feel like I feel when Im with you
When Im alone with you
I am in love with you
I am in love with you, baby!

Possible solution.
Right click your rom downloads and go to properties to check the creation date, hopefully this will jog your memory. The gap in dates should hopefully give you a clue.

San, you must be dreaming or you logged in on the wrong forum!
Aren't most of us here love flashing ROM's not because we're looking for the perfect one but because we get high by trying the latest one and posting something like this: "a perfect ROM, extremely fast & stable BUT, ......"
There was never a perfect device or ROM for us, but let me give you a clue.
Which ROM is highly customizable, boots up with 29Mb free RAM even with HTC Home plug-in installed, able to retain 24Mb of free RAM after heavy use, seldom crashes, supports 128Mb RAM, perfectly usable by doing away with progs & tools you don't use anyway? Beat that!
Your guess is good as mine!
Do you mean you're going back to the Best WM5 ROM you ever had? The Darkforces Team ROM!
i have tried many and the one i felt in lovewith was NNcoung ROM. Its fast, stable, no memory leaks, 31+ of ram after reset, flash disk (the best of all since you can install all the apps you want here with no side effects) and vanilla so you can install whatever you want. try it you will see that is the best ROM for universal EVER.

Hi,
Have you used Mtty to format/clean your memory ? (sometimes it helps)
And indeed I should try Nncuong's rom.
Greetings,
Wout
wow wow wow!! So many replies, dont know which one to respond to ;o)))
I'm guessing all the 18538 based roms dont seem to be stable on my device setup. It was one of the earlier builds which worked good for me. The 18538 roms always bombed up on me and i kept reverting back to one of the older roms which was flawless. The problem is, I changed my laptop and i dont have the nk.nbf file which i had with me . So i'm waiting for the coming weekend to start the hunt all over again
Until then, i got to live with this fubar'ed POS :-/ Really gets on to your nerves when it crashes over 30 times a day (not exagerating...all i need to do is, be on a call and try and push a button, and the call's frozen. I cant disconnect the call, the END or disconnect hardware buttons all dont respond)
I guess i'll just jump to beastyleo's rom, only thing that doesnt work is a2dp for me, which is much better than this crash-fest, roach motel rom that i'm currently running on!
Cheers,
San
If you have a G3 device try this: http://www.sym-viet.com/nncuong/UNI_2_11_11_G3.rar
the only rom i saw without memory leak. Havent tried beastyleo's tho.
A2DP is really good, it freezes device but just press play button on your headset to unfreeze happens once per day avg.
I only can say................ we made big progress today
And update is comming soon to your way......................

Universal Is A Useless Device!
Basically, Universal Is A Useless Device!
And, my friends and my relatives think that I have a big head
WHY?
The basic function of the Universal is Phone. As a Phone it is a useless device even with Windows Mobile 5. It is slow, eats up batteries, has crashes and so forth.
It is very bulky, always has to be carried in the hands. With a belt clip it is immense. It is impossible to use while driving. And, even the voice command is useless as it gets the number wrong most of the time.
So, welcome to Windows Mobile 6, which is not supported by HTC for Universal. It is the same story with Windows Mobile 6 and we are constantly re-flashing as it is full of bugs.
My friends and my relatives tell me that I have a big head, as they call me and that I never return their missed calls. I have painfully explained them about Universal.
So, they say buy a new phone. I tell them that I bought by Xda Exec in the first part of this year!
So, buy a new phone if you want to be in touch with your friends and your relatives. What I do!
I go in July of this year and buy Jasjar. Another Universal!
When I bought it, I told my self that I will only use it for Phone!
Now I own two Universals, several standard and large batteries. Two sim cards and several cases. Lots of different mono and stereo bluetooth and so forth!
Now I am constantly flashing both of my Universal. My friends and relatives still complain about the miss calls. So, now I am thinking to buy a small HTC Phone for just only Phone purposes.
But, I am also thinking to upgrade both of my Universal to 128MB.
I guess, I have to prioritize????
Any betting man or woman out there!

Hi San,
It looks like we are both having the same problems with our uni.
You noticed that it could have something to do with ours being one of the earlier production models ?
FYI i'm now running build 18533.0.7.1 by Nncuong with radio 1.17.
And this is now running without any softresets for 48 hours, which is a new record for my *&@#% uni.
But I still love the thing, It's a hate/love relation
Could you let me know which roms run stable on your uni ?
And do you also sometimes find that it looks stable but after 8 or so hours it seems like the thing is "deteriorating" needing softresets increasingly more often ?
greetings,
Wout
(and also important, after 11 hours battery still at 89%, with light usage of phone )

Woww!!! Looks like you're speaking through my brain m8!!!
Especially the pseudo short-lived happiness with the new roms (18538 roms!) until all hell breaks loose!
As i've noticed, the nncuong roms, the darkforce (earlier) roms worked great for me. Right now, i've flashed thingonaspring's 3.2 rom, hoping this baby will hold up....lets see how it goes!
The mo3ulla rom (confirmed) was a nightmare on my device setup. Was the worst of the lot, mainly because of a serious memory leak problem. Harldy any time, and it drops to a skimpy 3meg free ram status with nothing running!
Was way too crappy to be used for anything at all, flashed over thingonaspring's rom (its a 18533 rom), i'm wishing this one would work fine for me....will post in and let you know how it fares...
cheers,
San
hahaha,
If i'm right your device won't like thingy's 3.2 (it was a softreset fest on mine)

anyone have any other suggestions?
something that ALL the features work without problems (wifi, bluetooth, etc) and no lag?

Umm Best is all relevant no matter what rom u choose there are going to be issues and might want to post this in the general section
ive tried a few and feel that qteks swap hero is the fastest running
available here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540745
I think Qteks or eVIL D Hero rom are currently the fastest/best for 32B.
thanks everyone!
will try the qteks
and im sorry for posting in the wrong section
I used qtek on my mt3g and it looked great and ran amazing. the browser is double touch and works really well also has flash. but it killed my battery from 76% to 20 in 30 mins of use.
Have to agree, I've been using the qtek ROM for a week or so now and am loving it. Theres a bit of lag when switching between heavy duty apps ie copilot but no real show shoppers. By the looks of it though there are some interesting things happening on the dream boards that will go on our sapphires quite easily.
Until then I'm sticking with qteks swap version.
Have fun
Just curious I have the dreaded perfect spl that they have rooted! YAY! But that's not the point, I was wondering if it is actually necessary to root my phone to install a hero rom? If it is I have everything ready already made the gold card and all that stuff! Thanks for the help.
Yes you have to change the SPL is you want to load custom ROM.
I tried qtek's compache rom, Worked really well the first time... Then next reboot most of the text on the icons were replaced with Squares... Made it unuseable.... Hmm.. I am going to try the swap version now.
qteks works but my sms doesnt work which is a show stopper wit me
JacHero 1.2. BT and LED's work. BUT wifi does not.
From using CyanogenMOD, to Qteks ROM, to JACxHero 2.7.4r2. The best form my experience has been JACxHero, I know that Cyanogen isn't a hero ROM, but it is a very well known ROM that some may try. Qtecks ROM was nice, but because the SMS did not work it was no dice. JACxHero is very fast once you change your home screen up a bit, SMS works, WiFi works. They only downside, that I've experienced is that when you go to create a text message and you turn the phone sideways to type in landscape mode, the keyboard does not change. It changes for any other app and the browser, but doesn't change for messaging. So my vote will be JACxHero 2.7.4r2
Testing ZeroXd's port... seems very speedy and fluid...
Someone else's opinion about it ?
Unfortunately I am having a little snag her... evil and Jacxhero just sit there and loop at the "Hero" starting screen and fatla1ty doesn't have the screen problem with the pixelization (spelling?) but the rom is incredibly slow! Qteks was nice and fast but as stated before the screen problems are too much, I guess I might wait a little while until something not so buggy comes out. Unless some one knows of something better or some other rom's that I haven't tried..... or how to fix the looping problem on evil's rom and Jacxhero? - Thanks JinX

im using MT3G, JACHero 2.7.3, works great! although, i hate how i always get the loading "htc" screen after going through too many apps or trying to change the wall paper. still with this problem, i'd say this Hero ROM is the best. ive tried (evil Hero, Drizzy V3, and ZeroXd)... they all had major lag. or maybe its just me. lol.

I too have tried different ROMs and the latest one I've flashed is Drizzy's Hero-V1.2r1 [09/09/2009]. It has been 2 days of use and I am really liking it. It is clean and apps have worked well. I think there is a v1.3 coming soon so look out for that one.
My two favorites right now are Modaco 1.5 and Evil Hero 2.3xx. IMO Modaco is a little bit quicker/smoother with Sense UI but since Evil is sporting BFS the responsiveness of some of the apps is MUCH better.
Currently I'm running Evil but I literally just flashed it 2 hours ago so I'm still playing around with it / testing it. I also just got my class 6 sd card in the mail so I'm about to partition that bad boy and reinstall a Rom. Can't decide if I want to try Modaco or Evil first...
id say none atm as they all have annoying problems of swallowing up them all important messages
have a cyanogenmod rom there fast as **** and customisable summit rotten
As of now MoDaCo 1.5
Hi,
I am currently running CM6-RC3 on my G1. I am fed up with the slowness of the phone and I want to go to a fast OS, though I am spoilt rotten by some of the Froyo features. However, I think a fast ROM is still my prio.
First step is to get a Class 6 card and I have ordered an 8gig one from ebay. Should get that in a couple of days.
The second step of course is the ROM itself. Currently I have shortlisted SuperD 1.11 and SuperFroyo 2.6 Lite based on the reviews that I have read on the forum.
Firstly, if anyone has used these two ROMs, or can give me a comparative opinion of these two, then it would make my choice all the more easy. Is the SuperD really that that fast as compared to SuperFroyo that I should willingly sacrifice some Froyo functionality?
Also, how do I flash either of the ROMs? As I said, I have CM6 and AmonRa 1.7.0 Recovery. Now SuperD goes on about installing a legal base ROM and DRC83 (which itself has some new and updated versions in many threads) and then installing SuperD 1.11 itself. But coming from CM, is that necessary, or is it dangerous, or in short what am I supposed to do?
Similarly, if I have to flash SuperFroyo, should I do any preparations or just wipe and flash from the recovery?
The tough thing is that CM is so so so well documented that the other ROMs seem stark compared to that. I already have bricked a phone during the JF ROM era, so I don't want to screw up the one which is currently working. Any sort of detailed help, or pointers to other thread would be most helpful. I have been searching the forum and have not found anything that clarifies my doubts.
TIA.
I'm interested in the answers to your questions too. I've tried to improve speed and responsiveness by using many of the tricks posted in various threads but for daily usage the lags and the battery life are still not acceptable for me (though I like many of the Froyo features).
Having said that - you might want to check out the last pages of this thread [FAST][STABLE]SpeedTeam Froyo [v3.1.1][OFFICIAL RELEASE][8/23/10]
XxKOLOHExX is developing a 1.6-ROM with as many Froyo-Features as possible while retaining the speed, responsivness and stability of Donut. I'm very much looking forward to that ROM.

the final cyanogenmod v6 is really fast and stable. ive been running it since it was uploaded and havent had any problem at all.. kinda weird lol im used to some kind of force close or reboots but so far this rom seems really stable, you should try it out.
You might want to figure out why cm6 is so slow for you. Its probably the user, not the rom. I'm not a cyan groupie but this is by far the fastest rom I've used...and I've tried A LOT of different roms.

Really?, and you using it on a G1? CM5 was quite fast until ADW crashed on me and I had to reflash - decided to flash CM6 at that time. What are your SD partitions, if any? I am running it plain with only one large FAT32 partition.
I am a heavy texter. On Hero ROMs, it takes about 500-600 text's to start FC's and loading screens. On Froyo, I don't know how, but it took 200-300...Im on Super E right now and I can say I'm pleased. I'm at 1,902 Texts right now and its running ill say 90% of how fast it was when I just flashed it.

Everyone has their personal preference with regard to swap or no swap, compcache, jit, etc. I have no clue what works best even on my own phone (mt3g). But to let you know, I have a 32 MB swap partition, 512 ext 3 or 4 (can't remember, I think its ext4) and the rest FAT32.
donut/1.6? super d
eclair/2.1? super e
froyo/2.2? super f (not completed yet)
theyre all based off CM

I felt the same way. I've went back to CM4 and CM5 trying to find the right balance. I am now back on CM6 latest and I think I may have found the key to making my phone perform well.
Swap. On a G1 with Froyo it seems that swap is a must. Once I enabled swap my market issues (would return to home at random, especially when searching) and other weird issues went away (shortcuts to URLs wouldn't open he URL but just my homepage). Try swap before you completely bail out of CM6. Even running swap on FAT showed a lot of improvement. I have noticed though that after a couple of days my phone starts acting funny so I turn swap off (swapoff command from terminal) and then back on and things clear up.
Of course this is all my common observation but I really think swap changed CM6 on my G1 from too slow for everyday use to the best ROM there is. I really think with the extra RAM needed for Froyo there just isn't enough left for simple apps (market, browser, etc) to function correctly.
Matt
Super D 1.11 (aka 1.10.4) is quality and I'm so happily suprised at how fast it is
I had forgotten what it was like to own a phone that just well worked without hassle of lose of functionality. As pretty as Eclair and Froyo are they simply can't match a good donut.
Give it a try and use the Setup Up Guide for Donut in my sig a look, it was designed around Super D

i just went to Super-E cause all of the froyos are too slow for my taste and all seem to be based on CM6 so what's the point? Plus one of my fav devs, Ben isnt working on SuperF atm so im kind of sad about that. His was my fav but its discontinued . The battery on it is good and speed, not as quick on its feet as donut but gets the job done, plus still has some newer features.
Im fairly new to the phone mod game and im the only one of my friends who gives a damn. Needless to say that means ive no one to talk to about this stuff. I recently rooted my Inspire (aahk) works great. Now my phone is insane with speeds like ive never seen. However i was flashing some roms around trying to find the one just right for me, and thought id try CM7 did a full wipe. Being the impulsive person i am i only backed up on my SD and when it told me to do a partition i didnt consider the consequences..... So now im stuck with CM7 (not for me) and i guess ive got to start all over. In trying to download new ROMS it seems that only the ones n the premium section will really change the whole phone. Is there a way i can get back to the ROM it had me on just after rooting? Or am i starting all over? would it be wise to unroot and start over? i really dont like the ADW base of CM7. I had been running HoneySense which was awesome but could barely use my data other than the Market..... Yes i know im long winded but like i stated. Ive got no friends that give a damn about their phones. ANY hints tips advice would be appreciated. And to all of you developers, keep up the good work, i envy your skills.... 2 years ago i could barely check an email, and have been learning as much as possible as quick as possible. Thanks for reading my nonsensical ramblings
Also what is the difference with the nandroid and clockworkmod? can i use apps for both or are they root specific... You can laugh if you like
Your nandroid/cwm backups will backup your entire rom. Forget restoring those if you want to go to a different rom. You need to be rooted if you want to perform these actions, but you already are rooted. If you want to backup your apps then use Titanium backup or My backup root to backup just your apps. Don't backup system stuff. You can flash any of the roms in the development section. You do not need to root again. Always wipe before flashing a new rom. In recovery you select wipe and choose to wipe cache, dalvik cache, data/factory reset, and you can also format system if you want. Don't wipe anything else. Backup your data that you want to save before wiping.
Pretty much what Wolf is saying..Also @Diesel321, So what is it that over all your looking to do with your phone.?
Some of the biggest ?s that is asked a lot when it comes to roms is stability, battery life. And whats the "best" and there is really no "best" one. But for I would recommend NinjaRom. I have been running that for @ least 5months and only had minor issue which was fixed from the support team. Also tried android rev,CoreDroid all good stuff.
But when you do flash its a good idea to do a back up. Which I go through ClockWorkMod (CWM) and select back up and I aslo save each back to my sd card and save it the pc to a folder that I created for my Roms/Tweaks/Add-Ons/etc..
but if you need any other ?s just ask or Pm Me glad to help out.
Thanks to both of you guys... Overall i want to speed up my system (which the "set cpu" app and all overclocking apps confuse me) I have tried all different kinds of settings and the only way i can get a decent result is through wifi. Also batterylife and the more i learn about phones the more i like so the deeper i dive the more intriuged i become... I always want more faster and better. As far as ROMS anything based or similar to CM7 i do not like, before i eber rooted i tried the ADW launcher and am not a fan of the set up. I love the sense roms, but the only ones i can find through cwm are HoneySense which only lets me access my data through the market (no browser, no email, no google, no FB) i installed Leedroid last night and its ok but the specs of Honey Wonder look awesome. I cant find it on cwm and i cant seem to gert it from my computer to my phone. Im about to try and put my SD into the cpu and do it that way. When i backup my Apps should i backup my data for them as well? ANd then can i restore them over any rom? or do i go back and restore them from the market, can i save my home screens to restore the way i like them or do i have to do it manually any time? Im sorry if im overloading with questons but as i stated previously none of my friends give a damn about any of this stuff, except one and he kniows about a quarter of what i know. Hes wanting to root his LG OPtimus C but i told him to wait till i learn more about it, also i dont know if there is a root for it. Any other tips and advice are always welcomed appreciated and thanked... Again thanks guys.. One more. Why cant i seem to download anything from my XDA Premium App? that would make my life much easier
wow that was a mouthful, you should be able to download from xda but if your having trouble try-menu-browser also your not limited to only inspire roms the DHD is almost the same phone and is global and non-branded (INSPIRE 4G-AT&T) so check out some of these.

Ok.... Where to start... You can back up your apps with data. I restore those because for like any programs such as browsers or any games I want to restore the settings and bookmarks, passwords, etc. Before I restore in a new rom I go through the checked programs that are supposed to be restored, Apps with data in Titanium Backup Pro, and make sure I am only restoring "my" apps. I have often found that TB likes to also backup HTC Sense, etc. I do not want to restore any system apps since this would more than likely cause a problem with the new rom.
As far as overclocking is concerned, a lot of the newer versions of roms do not use SetCPU anymore. They use the Virtuous overclocking daemon script. This works much faster than SetCPU. Using SetCPU with these roms will disable the daemon. the information on the kernel and the overclocking daemon is usually listed in the first post of the rom thread. You can install Sybergunne's Daemon Controller app if it is not already installed to easily change the settings. Overclock carefully. Every phone is different and not all can go as high as others. Some may run stable at 1.6 GHz and others are only stable at 1.1 GHz.
If you are looking for faster data speeds, then that is already cooked into the roms by the developers, although there may always be some tweaking that can be performed. Speed for data is very subjective, because it really depends on your particular area. Radio's and RIL's make a difference also, but what works for me in my area may not work well for you. It is really a trial and error procedure to find out what works for you.
You are looking for sense roms, so Sense 3.0 and 3.5 are the latest for our phones. Go through the Inspire and Desire HD development threads and read the rom descriptions to see what you like. Almost every DHD rom is made to also work with the Inspire. Links to both sections are posted below. Some rom ideas for you to look at are, Android Revolution HD, Rumrunner, Bindroid, RCMix roms, HoneyWonder roms, Cleardroid, Virtuous Unity, etc., etc. You need to decide which ones you want to try. Ok, that is my mouthful.

The rom comes with kernel but aosp kernels go with aosp (android open source project)=cm7 and sence kernels usually with all sence roms
People sometimes flash alternate kernels than what comes with the rom to experiment and see what the performance behavior is like. ALWAYS make a CWM/Nandroid backup of your rom before you flash any mods or kernels. Usually it does not happen, but sometimes a flashed mod or kernel can mess up your phone so it is good to have a backup in case of problems.
So I've got a 16gig SD and I've had to strip it down because it had 14 gigs of music on it. So after I rooted I took a bunch off. Would it be wise to keep 2 SXS? One I can jam too and another for downloading Rome and flashing? Also I CAN flash CM7 kernels to my Sense roms. Has anyone tried that Beatmod BlissSense. It seems cool but it doesn't seem to want to download. You guys are awesome and have helped me it tremendously. I may not be able to help with your computer problems or anything but if you need any advice on home repair or anything like that Im your guy.

Beatmod BlissSense was awesome. Had some minor bugs for me, GPS signal was a littly nutty and my calls kept dropping. (I reflashed the rom when I found this was happening and the issue seemed to disappear). All in all, it was a great rom but since I'm new to the root thing, the flashing bug caught me and off I went into the xda forums..I'm currently running Android Revolution and of all the roms I've flashed, this is by far my favorite.
What exactly is "freezing" an app mean? I've got an idea I just want to make sure I'm right? Is it wise to delete bloatware apps? Would they come back if I needed to unroot?
Freezing an app is a little like deleting it, but safer. If you delete it, you may find out you have big problems because the system app will not reinstall correctly and you end up reinstalling the rom. With freezing you can take it out but restore it exactly the way it was in the system if things go wrong. If you are backing up your rom like you should in case of problems, then that backup usually takes over a gigabyte of space on your sd card, so it sounds like you definitely need to have another card with more space. You have to be careful what kernel you want to try. If it was written for CM7 it may not work with Sense based roms. Depends how it was coded. You have to research information on the kernel to see if it lists anything specific about proprietary installation. If not, then go ahead and try it. BACKUP YOUR ROM FIRST BEFORE FLASHING.
Nice about to flash HoneyWonder now to see whats up..
I see that wolf has covered you on some damn good topics..
I have flashed lots of roms this honey wonder will be like my 9th lol but it all depends on you and the flashing it will take time to see what you like. As to speeding up your phone like set cpu @ the time I found useful cause you were able to set profiles for phone like when its sleep mode set it for like low power. And when your using it have a higher mhz etc.. But I did use juice defender as an app which to me it worked very good.
But to me I like Roms that do not take up memory lol
So im downloading some ROMs to my newly dedicated SD Just curius if i eed anything other than the roms on there? I mean CWM and all of that should be not only on my phones memory but also in most roms correct? You guys have been a huge help! Im loving this honeywonder but want to play around soe more. Ia having a problem with it though sometimes when i try to reboot or anything that should take me to boot it simply will not do it. Ive installed the Inspirefix.zip but am still havingm some issues. And the phone is saying 3G ATT is that just what its saying and im still 4G or has the ROM taken me back to 3??? Just wondering Because its still hella fast im about to trey a readio and ril flash to try and get some more speed. Hopr i dont screw anyhting up

I flashed honey with out the inspire fix if you did I would plug your phone back in go to you sd card and delete it out and reflash.
If you have not made a back up in cwm then do so and it will located in your sd card in the folder clock work and then a sub folder called back ups. I myself save that back on my pc just to have.
The 3g icon I had that and its ok.

hello,
my question is.
i have the tool oct v1.5 on my device but when i activated it it works perfectly running very smooth and then it come to my point,
when ive done that i want to boot the frx07 bundle with froyo but it keeps hanging and wont start when i boot the overclock program and after that the bundle because when i dont the overclock thing it starts right away but when i have it booted its really really slow
please help me with that and couldnt find anything like this asked
Have you tried booting Froyo without running the OCT at all? Why is the OCT necessary?
yeah ive done that but when froyo is booted the phone works very slowly thats why i asked if you people got any solution to fix it and want it to be working faster cause its to slow now cant do anything

I'm unfamiliar with the current Android situation on the Rhodium, but what about an overclocked kernel? Are you running a NAND ROM, or from the SD?
Sent from my HTC Vivid
im running it on my sd card dont know how else to do it
There are some testing NAND builds in the Android Dev section for TP2. NAND runs Android from the handsets memory, as opposed to from the SD card.
This alone will give you a speed boost, however the general consensus is that it's just not quick regardless. I see some users using OCT, but many of the Chefs recommend 'No Frills CPU' instead. Perhaps you could give that a go instead of OCT?
ok im gonna try that no frills thing hope it works i let you know thnx in advance
nice the no frills makes it a little faster but it dont overclock above 528 so i put minimal to 528 and max the same it runs a little smoother now i dont want to f*cks with the nand version until there is a smooth version of it thnx very very much for this
