Is maximum brightness bad for your phone? shortandlong term?

I noticed that most phones default setting is not max brightness but maybe one or two levels lower. Aside from having bad battery life, do you think there is anyway having your screen on maximum brightness bad for it? Will the LED bulbs burn out faster in the long run, etc? Just a curious question as it is something I never thought about before.
p.s. Obviously many things that are running on max or pushed to it's maximum wears and tears faster.
led bulbs can last a very long time, over 10 years minimum
chances are you will have a new phone by then
i use lowest brightness at night if i am out as its too bright at night or if im in bed and auto in the daytime, and maximum brightness if its a very sunny day
LEDs tend to last 25,000+ hours active before finally dying, diodes tend to last a while. There is absolutely no negative effect running them at max.
i run at minimum brightness 90% of the day, only in direct sunlight do i use auto only to conserve battery life.
on an aside, i carry around a charger with me, and i'm OCD i only charge when the USB is plugged into the wall to keep the battery from heating up. using lower current through your computer means, lower heat, and your battery should theoretically last longer through wear and tear.

Light use endurance

Once in a while, when your significant other yells at you, you might use your phone a bit less. Rate this thread to express how the Xiaomi Mi 5's battery performs under light use. A higher rating indicates that the device goes a long time when you're using the phone sparingly: no gaming or video/audio streaming, light web browsing, some calling and texts, etc.

can last a day for light usage (24 hours)
I usually drain it with around 35 - 40 % per day with light usage...very good.
I get ~40hrs with light usage
it usually lasts me 3 days, with around 5 hours of screen on time and 10% battery left. it's worth mentioning that sync is off and i don't use battery draining apps, like facebook or messenger.
3 days with 4-5 hours SOT but mainly on wifi, 30 mins calls a day and MiBand connected.
i never get 24 hour in light use
meybe aroud 16-18 hour
maybe because may place didnt have good celular signal
For me, after several weeks with LOS installed, the battery comsumption is exactly as others here found it, 30-40% a day with light usage

Can last 2 days with light usage.
This phone shines at light use. A little behind the Honor 8 Pro though.
With light usage I usually ends up with 60% before bed time. I rarely bring it to the next day without charging because I plug the phone to the charger when I got up and I got full charge when I go to work.
Depending on how lite your usage is. You maybe able to get up to 3 days battery life from the Honor 9.
That requires very light usage.

It's looses about 1.4% /h when it's not plugged in. Its slightly better than average. Had phones that lost about 0.5% when not in use.
do you have AoD enabled?
First screenshot: of model no G-9650, snapdragon ,dual sim, available locally .
Second screenshot: of model no G-965F, Exynos ,dual sim, bought off eBay for custom ROM support .
Third screenshot: settings used on both the models and my conclusion.
Hope this helps the forum users
I never did a standby drain test before last night. When I went to bed at 11:30 it was at 100%. I left it unplugged over night, and had 95% this morning at 6:00 when I woke up. So I lost about .77% per hour., which I consider pretty good. I do have it scheduled to turn AoD off overnight so I'm sure that helps.

A good 5-6 days with 6+ hrs screen on time with medium power savings turned on, greenify in non root mode , disabling apps I don't use and using always night mode with dark wallpaper and keyboard and dark YouTube.
My use is Web browsing, music, some YouTube ( a max of 3 hrs combined)
More than endurance I am concerned with battery health. I have charged mine for like 3 times uptil now and Samsung phone info app reports battery health as 98 %.
My phone is less than month old.
Hi Guys, I have this phone since 1st july, if I use "lightly" my A70 I can get 4-5 days battery life. SOT 7-8 Hrs. With heavy use 1,5 day max. not bad.
rgds.
