luv this baby
running very fast and TouchOne leaves very low footprint on RAM..
wow this rom is amazing...thanks alot ill for this and your other roms.
You are welcome!! Glad you like it!
You sir are the illest, love the interface, this rom is gorgeous
From the developer's website:
Minimum Requirements:
-400Mhz ARM4vi or compatible processor.
-Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher.
-10 MB free storage space on either the built in memory or the
storage card, depending on where you install it.
-96 MB RAM or more.
That's such an incredibly high number. Does this thing really suck up a ton of RAM? Are there issues after extended use or anything? Maybe he made a typo?
Either way, I'll probably give this a shot. I just wanted to see how others respond to that being listed as a "minimum" requirement.
is this SD splash
or can i flash through flash center?
trying...looks cool.

thought i could flash through RUU. im getting a 1gb micro sd tomorrow. smallest sd i got is 4gb sdhc. ill let u know
ok, ive been using it for 2 days now. im getting 64.27 storage 21.27 memory on startup. all i can say is SPEED and STABLE!!! the homescreen layout is friggin awesome! very fast animation on scrolling. i love the fact that the program menu is well organized. startup foe me is quicker than average. changing the wallpaper is very easy considering i change mine like 100x a day (OCD lol) its cool. i havent encountered and major or noticable bugs...EXCELLENT WORK!!!
Right at a week
A little tough to set up at first, once I figured the hold down--> move -->tap thing, it's great, thanks for the up Ill, tis rocks. Even after 3 days ram was still at 18+ (using oxios occasionally). Added a flat tone of stuff and there's still room.
Updated to 2.2 alpha and it's even faster/ <dare I say> prettier?

The minimum requirements are a joke. It runs it just fine with no issues in the slightest.
What.The.Hell.
I need to get on more often. I never thought I would need to flash again after I installed Mobile Shell 3.5, but now I must. This looks epic.
*EDIT- if I'm already running Justable v2 build5 micro, should I just stick with that and install the latest version of TouchOne?

I would say yes since you will probably have more space left with that and you can install the newest TouchOne. lol only differance is i organized the start menu with folders. Just remember to installl Netcf 3.5
Got v0.2.2a installed. Pretty sweet so far, just took me a bit to get used to the widgets since I'm used to MS3.5.

guys should I add BB support?
Very little memory leak!!
This ROM is brilliant from this perspective... I have always experienced aggressive memory leak issues in all except the operator ROMs that i've used. This one stacks up as the best so far.
My mail usage is very heavy and i have a sneaking suspicion that its this application that causes the memory leak. every time i get or send an email / sms, i have less memory than before the operation. All the roms i've used last between 3 - 7 hrs before i run out of memory and the phone just goes into 'press a button, wait a weekend' kinda mode.
I flashed this yesterday. ran all night and through the day and is right now at 20m of program memory still available!! this has been the longest any ROM has lasted!!
One thing though, windows live doesn't seem to be working. it says that it's unable to establish an internet connection, even though IE and push mail are working as well as they ever have. Is there any way this can be fixed? i need windows live mail as well and this isn't really the reason why i'd want to give up this ROM.
Just to preempt any questions, memory leak issues existed before i started using windows live. so i doubt whether it adds to it incrementally other than the normal tmail.exe leak which happens with every message. also, windows live is the least used account i have with just 25 - 30 mails a day. my office mail count (push mail) is close to 200 per day. also, about 100 smses. thats a bulk of my tmail usage.
Please, please tell me that it can be fixed. i love this ROM.
cheers
Glad my splash screen has made it's way to a public ROM. YAY!!

it was to add Black Berry support...but Im not going to.
Im focused on a touch version now
Restarted... then reflashed...
Did both, buddy... still doesn't work... i guess a CAB would do the trick... could you get one or tell me where i can find it?
Actually, if ur working on a touch version, just do that... will make do without windows live for a while... if you retain the magic then the touch version will be as good in the memory leak area... i really like the touch interface and will gladly volunteer to test it for you... that way we can probably fix the windows live issue if it continues... PM me with the link if u agree... whenever its ready...

Hi ANTC
Good news on the touch version, but shame about your decision on leaving BB support out of this one... I'm having problems with CORE 2 BB version reconnecting to BB server after a loss and regain of signal... Do you think you might add BB support to the touch version?
its an option
AntC,
im currently using a app called smartSkey on my MDA (wm5), does one of these other apps 'replace' that app, or would smartSkey still work. im sure your familiar with it. dont know how i would get along without it. thanks and good work.
Smartskey will work on all the ROMs.

Trying to download - explorer has crashed twice.....will try a little later
Congrats on your rom - will update once I can download
Edit - internet crashed three times with install language issues, but have finally downloaded the file - will update later once I've installed and tried out
just tried to download it and the download stopped after a few hundred kb. If others are reporting the same problem you might want to move it to MediaFire or RapidShare or one of the other file hosting places.
[edit:] I finally got the file down on my 3rd try but before I go installing it I need to ask if it is G4 friendly. Does this ROM attempt to update the IPL/SPL?
Details : page pool, free RAM ?
Can We have more info? I'm downloading to try it. Looks like my favorite beer
What device tdod the OS come from?
What is the Page Pool (ca it be changed)?
Thanx for the post (downloading slow)
OMFG!!!! It is beautifull! and it works!! and the Pagepool is 6mb (WST) Pretty basic rom. Looks Official. seems to be all working.
Gprs counter has some other language. boxes instead of words.
There is a small update to outlook, with little arrows to choose contact numbers to call without having to open the contact
NETCF is version 2 not 3 (I have an oem package if the cook is interested)
Love the new and improved icons.
First time I had task manager/Xbutton2 work on my wizard.
Battery life is awesome.
Flash without storage and sim cards
Is this G4 safe?

Installed, working well on my G3 wizard. Quick rom. Here's a few things about the rom I found.
A few programs in the rom:
Oxios hibernate
Clear temp
Quick clear
Sim manager
USB harddrive
Usual games:
Solitaire
Bubble breaker
Camera = 3.00 (build 25498)
The user interface for settings -> personal and settings->system have nice graphics. Similar to Vista. Actually most of the icon on the phone look a little richer.
Wifi seems to connect a little faster. Still testing. Not much feedback on this rom. Where is everyone?
6 hours after taking the phone off the charger my battery is at 97%
I have downloaded my gmail, went out to see if the web works in my area made a few phone calls. it is as if this rom's os was designed for my phone. very impressive.
Had a little trouble this morning though:
I attempted to use my comuter as a stereo headset. Because I wanted Pocket Alarm MP3 to wake me up blaring the stereo through bluetooth.
That didn't happen because I got a text message before my alarm was supposed to come on; and killed all the sound untill I disconnected from my computer and/or headset. Also should note that the phone does not use internal speakers if your bluetooth is on. pretty nice. I just have to remember to not use the bluetooth part for my alarm anymore(just in case I get a call)
Weird. this is a pretty good rom, but noone seems to notice it.
Also, using WST (Wizard service tool) I was able to determine that it has parts from 3 different builds of 6.1; and that the XIP could be from TNT ast the bootloader starts showing the OS the same at tnt19199
I like this thing.
whats new
Is it worth upgrading from TNT 19199 build? Is it as fast as TNT'S?

thanks for posting this, i'm in the process of cleaning it up to get a nice vanilla base to work with. it is a very good rom, but....
please let us know where/how it came to be, i see a lot of things that point to TNT... which would mean that you did change alot around and got around his little extras that would trip up most... not that i don't believe that this is a new build, but you have to let us know where it came from... pm me if you want...
on the other hand, it runs really well much better than the 19716 builds...

known bugs:
- start -settings = some links are missing. BUT ALL is working!
---- NO wifi.ink (wifi can be set by tap-hold on BStopbar wifi!!)
---- NO slidingsound.ink (slidingsound.exe is in \windows if you need)
- BS taskmanager is not working - BUT x-button works - wired (HTC taskman can be reached by start-programs and is working)
New numbers are 0.9.0 (cause i change too often)
0 = version if final AND MAJOR changings
9 = short before final
0 = minor changings
IF i can get wifi and sliding working it would be 0.9.9 and if i get bstaskman running 1.0.0 hehe

flashing now lol
EDIT:
ok flashing done. testing now
don't pm to me, but i want to know what device this build came off of. My bet's on kaiser or something. It's ALWAYS kaiser
ok its been a few hours and im back with my bug report:
i did experience about a 10 seconds delay when i slid down my Wing after i had got off the internet but i dont think your rom had much to do with that lol. (had finished using opera mobile 9.5, exited, slid it down and it took what felt like 10 years lol but after that, lag free and ready to continue)
wifi had a little problem (when i turned it on and connected it to my hotspot, i couldnt access the internet over wifi and i kept using EDGE. Rebooting the phone solved the problem. Turned it back on and it connected perfectly.)
phone became extremely laggy when:
it was in sleep mode for a few minutes
and slid up to wake it up
i had to reboot the phone to end the lag cycle.
other then that, everything works
EDIT:
MAJOR bug found!
Tried replacing my SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 Theme (ive done it before with no problem) and when i did, i did the soft-reset and then BAM phone=unusuable
As soon as the phone got into the menu, it would freeze up and become completely unusable. I plugged it in my computer it activesync recognizes it. The only way the phone is usuable after that was:
A)Using SPB Backup (yeah i have EVERY SPB product. Torrent downloaded with product keys lol) and booting into Safe Mode
B)Reflashing............
So im reflashing my phone now
im willing to beta test...oh and papa i guess i could get the old build now...right??
Ill test please pm me.

BUT they also do not use it....cause it is a little buggy on our devices.
as i said the HYBRID is faster thatn the complete build
MAYBE we should try 20226/19949? maybe the xip is good but sys not
I can only compare this Version with the RC 2 until now but here are my impressions:
It takes longer than usual fo flash but runs faster. I launched some apps und suddenly got it freeze because auf less Ram but it wasn´t too less.
After Softreset i tryed to get it freezed again ( This time bigger Apps like playing day of the Tentacle and listening MP.3 and some small Apps in Backround) but no Freeze.
When i am in icontacts and push the telephone button i get to Programms sometimes...
Wlan is working good.

nice mr mopps
Even my desire with latest htc sense and gingerbread I had at least 100mb free ram. With this phone I barely have 50mb free, the phone is slow, skinned launcher pro is laggy and when I try to see which app is eating so much, android system is at the top with ~70mb of usage. If I add all the other apps there I can't even reach 200mb in total, where is the rest of 300MB?
I assumed that aosp ROMs should be smooth and without problems, but my HTC Sense was way much more responsive!
Dunno but I have at least 465mb free on my SGS2

Well that is great, but not really a helpful response. Still, nice phone you got there.
I'm not running Launcher Pro (yet), but with stock launcher I've got 151mb free.
I'm so pleased with the performance of the stock launcher in GB that I was afraid to switch to LP.
With all of these things though, there are so many variables that your mileage will differ greatly from everyone else's based on the # of apps, widgets, etc.
But right now, mine's humming right along.
756MB free on my NS4G
Myself, and others on the NS4G have all agreed, launcher pro hates this phone and runs terrible.. ADW is my preferred choice now.
I'm running ADW Launcher EX on my NS with 2.3.4 and I usually have around 145mb free. Gingerbread seems to be handling system resources well on my device, I rarely experience any lag. Are you rooted? If so you could do a full wipe and reinstall gingerbread fresh. That may straighten things out for you.
Are we talking about the same things here?
RAM = running programs
vs program storage?
The NS4G has 300mb of RAM with 1GB of program storage.
My NS4G averages 150mb of free RAM and storage hovers around 750mb.
I have about 174MB free ram on stock 2.3.4 if that helps.

I've got about 130 free with stock rom/launcher.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
I don't think its a problem with this phone specifically, I think it has to do with gingerbread itself. As you can see in my sig (have to update it these days) I'm coming from an HTC Desire and if I ran an AOSP gingerbread ROM I was having the exact same issue with launcher pro. But the RAM memory was not there, I had above 100mb free all the time. Desire has the same amount of RAM as NS.
The free RAM displayed in running services is not accurate, if you want to see ur free RAM download quick sytem info or system info widget.
Here's a pic with my usage without browser running (just closed it, otherwise I would've had less then 50mb free):
On my NS4G, running the OpenSoju rom, and Launcher Pro, it is running like butter:
I think Gingerbread runs more like Windows 7 does on the PC.. If there is free RAM, it's going to use it to make the OS more responsive.. If demand rises for app or game usage it should (in theory) start freeing up RAM to compensate.
Exploring this further, there is definitely some conflicts of usage depending on what you use to view RAM.
Gingerbreads app management tells me I have 136M free.. While a system info app tells me 77M available.
I killed every single app I could see in quick system info and reached almost 150 mb free (for real, not the usage u see in running services) and even then launcher pro is laggy. When going into sense-like preview (pinch to zoom out) and sometimes even scrolling through screens it feels laggy, its certainly not as responsive as it was with my HTC Sense ROM on the HTC Desire.
ADW also feels laggy.
And I can confirm that froyo works just fine, this is a screw-up from google. And their launcher sucks!
Edit: Ok I removed all the 4x4 widgets and the phone is now ok, it runs fine. Apparently if you have a lot of widgets running on several home screens it will lag. Again, on froyo there is no such problem
I will try MIUI today and report back.
if you have a problem with memory handling try searching ANDmemory in xda. its still in beta but it does a pretty good job.

Exploring this further, there is definitely some conflicts of usage depending on what you use to view RAM.
Gingerbreads app management tells me I have 136M free.. While a system info app tells me 77M available.

Are you running a custom rom? I want that battery indicator.

Talking about RAM not ROM
I limited to 3 screens for now, a main screen and 2 side ones filled with 2x2 launcher pro widgets. It feels much smoother now, but the RAM usage is still big.

Then what are you doing in this forum dummy.
i know this was discussed before but i'm asking now after months and weeks of usage
is the device affected by the small amount of avilable ram ????
does this small amount of memory lead to lagging or reboating ??
i m going to get the device soon so i m worried about that issue
I wouldnt say it has a "small" amount of memory, just less than others.
I would consider myself a moderate user, I learned on WM5 and up to 6.5 to keep my unused apps down and my memory clear so I have not run into any problems here.
I have seen a few very brief frame drops in a game while something is going on in the background but it was very minimal and did not detract from my joy of the device.
The built in task manager does not accurately read the available ram as the advanced settings does which can be mis leading. Cleaning out of lot of running processes clears up even more. Sense eats a fair amount but I personally like it.
This is my first main Android experience and it has been nothing but a pleasure so far. Again I am a moderate user tinkering with a new to me OS. I email a lot, text a lot, read RSS regularly and surf the web a little bit. The rest is with the apps. Things have always loaded quickly and so far not crashed.
It has enough RAM. I had a MyTouch 4G for 8 months and now the Sensation, both have 768MB of RAM and neither phone has slowed or froze at all. A lot of phones only have 512MB of RAM.
honestly, if you need a gig of ram, you're either a dev who needs the resources, or your desktop PC is as cluttered as your closet/garage and cant be bother to clean it

People need to stop thinking of Android in terms of their Windows desktop or WinMo. It handles memory completely different. Android sees unused ram as a wasted resource. Android will free up more ram if it needs it. If you look in the notification area you may only see ~100mb free. Then look in the "running applications" tab under settings-applications and you may see well over 200mb available to android. That's because Android has cached about 100mb of data to make it readily available because Android knows there are some programs/processes you use a lot and by caching it in available ram you can access them quicker without slowdown. But this 100mb of pre-cached "stuff" android will kill if it needs additional ram. That's why it shows it as available in Android settings.
Take a look at the Pre-gingerbread running services menu, it actually used to spell out how much was unused and how much was in running services Android knows it can kill to free more memory if needed. A sign of your phone really running low on memory is if your phone has to re-launch Rosie every time you press the home screen. This happened a lot on early builds of Sense 3.0 on the G2 because the G2 just didn't have enough ram to run Sense 3.0. Your phone won't lag/stutter just because it's low on memory. In fact killing a lot of these pre-cached items will be the cause of your phone's apparent lag as your phone attempts to relaunch a process or service that you killed.

Its early software. Wait for an OTA or for it to be rooted and CID unlocked and then you will be able to remove Sense.
If I can say one thing about HTC, they support their phones much longer than ANY other company out there - hell they're one of the first to provide GB on a launch device - and they are also excellent about maintaining their own software (ie, Sense - the bloat hog on any Android or WinMo 6.5 device - as anyone can tell you, Sense 2.0 took at least 75MB of RAM to run - 3.0 has to be worse) so you can rest assured that your device will definitely speed up one way or the other.
but dont u think after all that it is a problem that the desire hd had more free ram than the sensation
i hope it can be solved with an update as i cant immagine it without sense :S
Go to a store and play with the phone....it's that simple. Watching a YouTube video about the phone can be misleading you have no idea what type if settings the guy was using
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App

I have 220MB of RAM free and I'm running Scruff, A4A Radar, and a number of other apps in the background. Looking at my G2x, with the same apps running and NO Sense, I have 148MB free and the Sensation is not lagging like the G2x is.
