Upgrading 2.15.13.27 WWE

I just want to make sure that I understand well. I have a Qtek S200 originally with a Russian rom. Four months ago, I switched to a English ROM. The version that is installed now is: 2.15.13.27 WWE (Rom date 3/9/06, Radio version 02.19.21, Protocol version 4.1.13.09, extROM version 2.15.13.121.) After watching all recent exchanges, I have verified that my device is a G3 (SPL: 2.15.0000.)
I am interested to upgrade it if it possible with the 32.6MB package that I downloaded at: ftp://xda:[email protected]_edition.exe. I am very interested by the "new" pushemail function, which seems to exist in this upgrade.
Could you please tell me if this package is "adapted" to the situation? Thks.

I did search the forum, but I couldnt find the answer.
Im sorry if I missed it and Im openin new thread.
Here is my problem:
I was wondering is there any way to change the language from french to english? I got Qtek S200 (Version de ROM: 2.15.7.38 FRE)

No way to switch in your current configuration ... you must change your ROM tto a WWE version like those discusses here.
The fun begins .............

i think i'ts the same form nld tot wwe that would be no problem if I do that to connect with the belgium mobiel phone network (I live in belgium)

When you change the ROM it changes the brain on your phone, including the language. The safest choice is an official ROM with novenderID at the end of the file name. For instance the Dopod, which I am using, or go one step further to the new Qtek WWE ROM. I doesn't matter which ROM you install, you will be able to change the settings to accommodate your service provider, although it probably won't be automatic.

Go here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/. Look up how to go to the ftp site. Look under Prophet ROMs. You'll find answers to a lot of your questions at the wiki.

Hi,
Actually you can!
If you manage to get both French and English versions upgrades ROM from QTEK website you can try this procedure that I figured out.
1. Extract all the files (french and english) in separate directories using Winrar or any similar tools
2. Launch as if you wanted to upgrade a french rom as normally done
3. Stop at the screen after all checks are completed (that is when the upgrade button appears)
4. Replace the french .nbf with the english .nbf file while keeping the french name. Thus is the trick, the nbf file will then pushed to your phone...
5. Continue with upgrade as usual.
6. Upgrade should go on and you should be done.

I never thought it would come thanks for letting us know :x downloading it now.
Of course this new rom probably doesn't contain any new upgrades to the phone than already known/listed on this forum.. but you never know
EDIT: As I tought: this ROM (the ENG-version) already exists for a while; it's quite old actually..

could you explore the rom and post your experiences here? just in case there's any difference with the swedish 2.2 WWE-rom or the AKU2.2 you made

They look the same, however they have put the latest Radio ROM in there, I havent checked it fully yet, going over some small things and the ext rom

a newbie question about this new rom from me. i tried to upgade my m600 (orange) unlockt G4 model. It has a CID lock but how i understand it that only limits you to use roms for youre country. I have a dutch (NLD) rom from orange so i thougt i could upgade. But the installation tels me that its not compatible! Annyone here who knows what to do?

How can I update my O2 Xda(UK) to the new ROM? The update progress starts when opening the downloaded files, but whit in a minute, I get the error invalid vendor id[294]. current ROM is a 2.15.x

try one of the CID unlock things (search the forum)... It provides you with all the files necessary to upgrade, except the nb.nfk (or something like that), which is in the rom itself. This is a bypass to the vendor lock....

Qtek S200 Upgrade - English Ver.
Upgraded my phone with the latest ROM release. My phone works much, much better now and it’s more stable than before.
A Major improvement, I use to suffer from phone suddenly switching it self off. Or when on charge with USB cable it would not come alive after disconnecting the cable. Highly recommending this upgrade!

When i turned on show this:

My Qtek have a NBD WM6 Rom Instaled, but i download 8.1 and 8.2(6M) and 8M and i cannot install into my Qtek because i got this error message:
ERROR 300 "INVALID UPDATE TOOL"
Somebody can help me?
I love to have in my Qtek this 8.2 rom.

Please see if you are using the rom update utility with the 'noid' tag. I saw that NBD 8.2 was released as an exe; the RUU would be part of the bundle. I am not sure if that is a noid version.
Edit: The statement above can be given the due treatment - junked. I missed to see the zeros in the IPL/SPL - the device is G4 and hence requires shelltool.

Also you can use SHELLTOOL instead of UPDATEUTILITY (shellTool is posted there too).
I assume that you speak spanish and, as me, you have a QTEK A9100 from DIGITEL (Venezuela) or Movistar (Spain). If so, lets switch language.
I flashed my QTEK several times with almost all ROMs here in XDA so I think I can help you to do it in your native language (if it is spanish of course).

Is your device CID unlocked???
use the update utiliy on the wizard love ROM. Just replace de NBK.nbf file.
And run the update utility.

Change language from English-> German HELP

I have tried to download the WM6.0 german version to my palm treo 750 which is a english device. So the english version of WM5 is on the device. I would like to install the German Version but i always get the error that the update is not for actualizing the language of the device.
