I've tried both Coreplayer and TCPMP but both are unable to play the .ass subtitles in my .mkv file.
Is there any program that is able to play .mkv files with .ass subs?
Just use the HTC Touch HD Video Encoder to convert the file and embed the subtitles (I think you need to change the subtitle's extension to .srt):

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",

}
I'm don't know the .ass subtitle, but when you convert it with i.e. subtitle studio to .srt you can play it in TCPMP (subtitle version) (just search on xda). Make sure you select the GDI video in TCPMP.

I think he just means to ask why MX doesn't support m3u8 playlists. Simple answer is because the developer hasn't added such a feature yet.
It is exactly as CDB-Man said.
Actually MX Player can play m3u8 but solely depends on FFmpeg's implementation.
We will add native m3u8 implementation soon.
Just want to know if MX Player can play rmvb files? Or is there any codecs shall I download and install before playing rmvb files? Thanks,

The app was able to play a .rmvb file I've downloaded from http://users.wfu.edu/yipcw/atg/vid/ using SW decoder. It is a Real Video 9 file.

Hi,
Having a problem with hardware decoder running IPTV or local files in andriod projector (HTP DLP-600W, LED9 model with 4.4.4) with 1280*800 res capability.
For some reason the picture in HW decoder looks like zoomed in (pics below; you can see the HW decoder zoomed pic to cut the channels logo)

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",

}
I tried to correct the aspect ratio through options and also the zoom but without any luck in different apps such as VLC, Perfect Player, MX Player etc.
I prefer HW decoder as it runs smoother than software; wondering if anyone can help with this problem?
Hi.
I have a question about "Play media links" function.

It works fine when I encounter mkv videos.
In this case, I see a pop up to choose the desired app. I click on mx player (when I want to watch online) or other app (when I want to download).
However, when I encounter mp4 videos, there is no pop up, mx player starts as a default app and I can't open the link with other app.
Why is that? I don't know how it works with other extensions.
Anyway, I'd like to see this pop up every time not just with mkv videos.
Can you make this possible?
