Sorry brothers and sisters, I can't speak english well. My O2 XDA Mini has no network detection, I dont know why, but after HW it show "No Radio". Can someone help me please?

Work keeps me in Italy three weeks out of four and I wondered if anybody has experience of using the XDA there. In the UK I use O2 but do not want the cost of O2 abroad for email and internet.
I have a Vodafone Italian pay as you go phone sim and the xda is unlocked but do not know the settings. Any ideas ?

HI, I HAVE A VODAFONE 2G SIM (GSM) IN MY 02 XDA EXEC WHICH WORKS FINE WITH GETTING SIGNAL BUT WILL NOT RECIEVE OR RING OUT BUT WILL SEND TXT PLZ PLZ HELP ME. ALEZ
Check that it's attempting to use the correct band - though i don't know why it'd txt if it wasn't... :? Perhaps the SIM is too old...

US 3G is not supported by T8282. Period.

The Touch HD is not compatible with any US 3G networks. If you are going to use it in the US , the best you are going to get is 2G ( Edge ).
By the way Welcome to the forum, unfortunately many people ( like you ) find this forum " after " they have bought their phone.

friends i have i-mate jam.it is not new...........,.i have a problem with my i mate jam.when i insert the sim card in my pda,my pda connect to the service provider(if the charger is connected) and if the charger is not connected then it cant connect to the service provider.i connect the charger to the phone and it shows the network is full and i can call anyone.but when i disconnect it,then the network is lost.and i cant dial or receive any call. plz plz guys help me. i am tired of this. i really like my phone................................................. and sorry for my bad english!

Motorola Xoom 3g (Not 4g), has a mini-pci-e hardware installed which enables it to operate 2g/3g networks, yes?
i'm outsite us, and i'm not a verizon customer.
but i have a MZ600 xoom , verizon branded, but not 4g upgraded (because i'm outside US)
i want to be able to use my simcard for 2g/3g networks for sms and gprs
but mine is not upgraded and as i know, it hasnt requeired hardware
now my question is, can i buy the mini-pci-e hardware installed on 3g xooms and install it on my xoom to operate my sim card? (as i found from other topics, 3g uk xooms can operate sim card for 2g/3g networks, sms/gprs)
is it possible or not? i want to use my 2g sim card for gprs
where can i buy a mini-pci-e gsm modem that works with xoom?
i'm really confused.
please help me.

Look trough this thread, initially it concerns a slightly different request but it provides a wealth of info regarding that slot and which components Motorola used. And after page 4 some people have the same request as yourself but there is no definitive answer yet.
