Can someone please help with my Fuze? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

I dropped my phone last night for only the second time in my nearly one year ownership, and (I can't confirm if it was right after) since then my WiFi is not working. When i open Comm Mgr the blue loading icon (NRG rom) spins and then nothing happens; the WiFi does not initialize.
Running EnergyROM, tried Leo and Phoenix2, reflashed radio, clean OS install, after customizations, etc. I can't seem to fix the problem, and I am saddened by the fact that I think that the drop somehow killed my WiFi (GPS, cellular radio all work fine). Is it even possible to knock out ONLY the WiFi radio?
Any suggestions, please? Thanks for the help!

try hard resetting or re-flashing a new/the same rom. if it's still a problem, then it's probably a hardware issue

Interesting
I brought my Touch Pro second hand and the wifi has never worked, when I first got the phone I posted something about it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=551634
it seems that it is a common hardware fault..
Sorry

Thanks Stuart, that really does infuriate me....Merry Christmas, huh?
Along with yourself, my phone was purchased second hand. Well actually, that's not entirely true; it was new but from an at&t user in the States who upgraded and sold for profit.
Anyone know if there is any recourse with the carrier if it has been under a year, given that I am not the person who purchased the phone?
Thanks,
Chris

Anyone? Please?

Not sure, you can try calling them.
I dropped my fuze in a sink full of water and about a week later my 3G stopped working. My wifi stopped working a long time ago as well.

Well - if you're not using AT&T as your carrier then my guess is that they're not going to do anything for you. What you might try is contacting HTC directly - perhaps it's still under a factory warrenty.

GPS isnt working, can anyone help?

Hi all!
Been all over the forum looking for a solution. From what I understand I think I have a faulty handset but it's just come back from from repairs (for other problems) with updated rom/radio. Seems a little strange as it was working before I sent it, now its not.... Same handset...
When I run Google maps and Waze they both see the GPS but it wont pick up any satellites...
Before you say it, i've tested this on the road, in a field .ect so it isnt the signal, tried setting it up manually in google maps, still no joy.
Am I going to have to be without my baby for another week?
Any advice would be welcome, thanks in advance
Hi mate...
I offer no helping hints.. but I got mine back from HTC HK for a shattered screen and had the same problem. I had to return it to HTC to fix, its been about 2-3 weeks and still no answer. They initially told me that its may be just the GPS or associated chip set wasn't plugged in properly... So they will fix it with out charge (incl. freight chargers)
So your not alone with this problem
Try gpstest free fom this page to just test your gps inpriciple excluding any other apps:

Thank you

Thanks for the reply mate. Was beginning to think it was something i had done,
The main thing that baffled me was its the same even after a Hard reset and standard settings.
At least I know what I have to do. Cant believe I've got to send it off again..
Last time was for a faulty board, what next?
Back to the old Nokia 9500 then... Sigh...

Problem with HTC HD7 Camera

Hello
Now i am going to return my HTC HD7 phone and change it for a new one.
Why?
The camera wont turn on neither on the camera button neither in the menu.
Here is the film, what it actually does.
I understand that i am not allone with this camera issue.
So far there is no solution for this problem so in this case there is only return and get a new one option.

Camera Issue Solution
I had the same problem with my HTC HD7 and have found a possible solution. I simply took the battery out and my SIM card, let it sit for about 1 minute. Put the SIM card back in and the battery then turned the phone back on. It fixed my camera issue.
I am not saying this will fix the issue permanently but it worked for me, I havent had any issues with the camera thus far.
Yet another reason to stop buying HTCs phones IMO.
HTC = High Tech Crap!
Wow, two imbeciles come in here and spread BS instead of answering and helping OP.
OP, I've never had that problem nor have I heard of it, so it's most definitely specific to your device so using the manufacturers warranty and getting a replacement is definitely the best solution, although nando's workaround might work...or a hard reset if it's a glitch.

AFAIK Its a windows phone issue, It has nothing to do with htc, HD7 or whatever.
It happens to zune, and marketplace too, and It only takes a simple reboot to solve it.
Still, if you believe its an hd7 issue, you shouldnt be asking it here. This is a windows-phone 7 forum, and device-related problems should be asked in their respective forums.
I have fixed this problem by myself, its an hardware problem. Nobody helped about the solution even HTC engineers. I can send the solution photos. [email protected] (Antalya/TURKEY)
The same problem
Nobody can help me with It? I have the ecxatly same problem...
As stated already, You might get better help with HD7 issues if you post in the HD7 specific forum, and it might help to keep the device trolls at bay...
Sent from my SGH-i917 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
I tried two ways of succesfully fixing this:
-3 times hard resetting
-3times soft resetting
Both did the trick for me, but for obvious reasons I now always soft reset 3 times whenever this occurs.
(Hasn't happened since NoDo tho..)
(sorry for my bad english)..
I do have a same problem. I am from indonesia, already told the shop which i bought this phone. They cant give me any replacement, only said, under repair or somekind of service.
Actually i rarely use handphone camera, but under this situation, felt weird. Any one has solution? please share..
It's a hardware issue with certain batch of the HTC HD7. I suggest you take your phone in for a replacement.
But they wont replace for a new one, i just bought it 3 weeks ago. The said they will repair it or under service. What a shame..
My buddy's HD7 had the same problem but seemed to go away with NODO. Is your phone all updated?

Hi there
I had the same issue with my HD7. O2 serviced it for me and it worked for another few months. Today the camera wont load again. I would say it is a software issue rather that hardware issue as I remember when it happened before soft reset and then hard reset could fix the issue till it completely stopped.
I need to take it again to the service.
it's remind me my desire phone ( android ) i had the same problem after clockword and cooked rom install. i just updated the phone radio and all was ok.
I know it's not the same plateform but i hope it can help maby try to update software.

HTC HD7 Camera Dead
Hi all,
I have the same problem - just went to use the camera on day and no response. Pressing the camera button or intiating from within the software just results in the menu scrolling away (as though the camera is starting) and then scrolling back.
I've tried pulling the battery and sim - no luck.
Unfortunately my location means I can't send it back for repair with it costing $$$s and taking over a month.
Only had the phone a couple of months - not very happy.
There seems to be a lot of people writing about this exact issue on the HTC forums so I can only assume it is indeed a hardware fault in a batch of the HD7s rather than a software issue.

Rogers HOX looses all signal randomly

Ive noticed since the day i bought it the phone. It happens maybe once every few days and i have to reset the phone. IVe tried taking out the sim card and re seating it to no avail.
Anyone else experience this? Is there a fix? Thx
Try pushing on parts of the back casing, just enough pressure to push the plastic inwards.
If you get a jump in reception consistently just do an RMA to get it fixed.
I had to exchange one of my HOXs because of this. Tried reflashing ROM, radio, even stock RUU to no avail. I say swap it out.
Does it matter that im over my 30 days? I sure hope they dont check to see if its been re-locked Yay, ill be without a phone for 4 days

AT&T didn't check a single one of mine, I don't know about Rogers. I don't know what the warranty laws are like in Canada but I would assume if it's a legitimate hardware issue they pretty much have to exchange it for you. I would try my suggestions first though.
Install a radio 1,88 or higher. Development thread. Should fix it. Did mine.

Hi!
I can´t say for sure if OP tried of course, but in my sad experience OP does have a point (intentionally or otherwise).
I did check for answers and found the thread you refer to.
For me, hard reset didn´t do the trick.
Upon reset the tablet found my home Network all right and hooked up. I was thrilled - problem solved.
Now 2 hours later i´m sitting at my desk at work and the -905 can´t find any networks whatsoever. Depite that my Note 3 clearly detects 2 strong wi-fi networks and 2 weak ditto (on & off).
I am somewhat less than extatic. :crying:
Reboot twice, flightmode on/of. Nothing seems to make any difference.
By my count there are now at least 3 users that report this issue. It may be a bit early but i see a pattern in the far Horizon.
Thoughts & inputs are appreciated.

Well,
another option if still have issues, but can maybe go to a local bestbuy with the samsung experience and i would think they should be able to hook it up and do their version of odin and get it all fixed up for ya.. jsut a thought and that might get you fixed up

Hi!
Thanks for the interest & taking the time to ansver.
Living in a small arctic town however (approximately 1500 people) in Greenland we don´t have a lot of bestbuys around here.
I have considered reflashing the rom using Odin myself. If it solves the issue it´s a fairly hassle free repair.

3 people out of several hundred thousand isn't a pattern.
However, losing WiFi after an update is a common Android bug. A reflash (particularly the modem) usually solves it.

Hi!
Statistically i quite agree. Completely off topic I was referring to the old proverb: "Once is chance, twice is coincidence, third time is a pattern".
On topic though it gives me great dissatisfaction to report that reflashing the rom did nothing to remedy the issue.
Downloading the entire rom from Sammobile, latest Odin, MD5# checked out. In short, all i´s dotted & all t´s crossed.
The -905 was sublimely indifferent - this is hastily converging towards frustration
Thoughts appreciated - otherwise i´ll probably just try again.

Elo
Solved!
Hi
Found it! It´s Passpoint that´s the culprit.
The whys and the hows i haven´t got but i´d downgraded to the old rom - reacquired Wifi - subsequently re-upgraded and Poof like evil magic, wifi was gone.
I muddled about in the wifi settings and was just about to admit defeat, when i shut Passpoint off - simply because i never use it, and the -905 said "Let there be Wifi"
Afterwards i found out that once wifi is detected and connected i can start passpoint up Again. Then if i move out of coverage and back in again the problem starts all over. Not a big issue since i keep passpoint shut down for now but there you have it.

S7 keeps freezing and restarting

Hi Guys /girls.
Just got an S7, brand new on O2 (UK). I usually root my phones but haven't touched this as it's quick enough and I don't want to play around with it until the warranty ends.
In the past few days the phone has been freezing, then it will turn off, sometimes restarting entering a bootloop. It will come back on for a minute or two, then repeats.
At the moment it is working following a forced restart but not sure if this will last. Has anyone else had these issues? Or does anyone know what it could be? Going to get it swapped anyway just to make sure but I can't understand the cause. Thanks in advance
Had the same issue this moth, send it to warranty it will only be worse over the days. Samsung replaced my mbo and now everything is ok
Getting worse.... Trying to get it sorted with O2 is an absolute joke, their customer service is disgusting. Been into two stores and on the phone to them twice and they're not simply swapping it for me.... I haven't even had the device three weeks

Are you using anything the same as with the last one, like a MicroSD card or headphones etc?
Anything that is common between the two phones?
Same app that might be doing it? Maybe a restore from a Google backup when you first boot up reinstalling a buggy app?
Did you upgrade firmware to the latest version? It might be a software bug.
Seems fine now cheers guys. Auto frmware updates (x2) were done last night....must have been a one off. Definitely won't be rooting this device like my older phones!
