Is there any way I can get two of the touch hotkeys to act as the left and right softkeys?
You can try MortScript:
http://sto-helit.de/index.php?module=page&entry=ms_overview&action=view&menu=29
I've already created the needed script files. You can find them in the attached ZIP file.
1. Install MortScript.
2. Extract the attachment e.g. to the "My Documents" folder on your device.
3. Create shortcuts to the script files and put them into the start menu/programs folder.
4. Associate the shortcuts to the touch hotkeys.
I have a exe file on my Touch HD which is an application. It wasn't installed on my device, it was simply copied from my computer. To access the application, I currently have to go into file explorer and select the exe file.
I would like to be able to access the application from Start/Programs. Is there any way that I can make a link to my file appear in the programs list? Perhaps a new registry entry??
Thanks

Click to collapse
Move the exe file to your programs folder manually
Edit: Sorry I just thought actually that I don't know if this will work for your device (Touch HD with WM 6.1) but it works for me with my device and my ROM.
on my Nike with 6.0 i do it by copying the exe file and paste shortcut to Start Menu/Programs

Actually you are not making a shortcut, you are copying the whole exe to the programs folder. You should actually cut and paste that way you are not having the program exe twice on your device - Save space on your internal memory.
it's .lnk file and has less than 1 KB. But thanks in advice
Please can anyone upload the camera.lnk file located at window/Start Menu/Program. Because i accidently deleted the file. Thanks
You can easily do it yourself. Go into the windows directory in file explorer, and copy the exe. Then go to the directory you mentioned, tap and hold and put "copy shortcut."
Thanks a lot. It really works.
Is there a way to assin a new icon to the "lock" function? What *.exe is used for that?
I used this one (attached) and it works on HD2...
Just copy into Windows directory and create a shortcut to copy into Start Menu Directory.
Then you can also add into HTC sense!

Thankyou so much
I have an error during the unlocking with this file...
But it works perfectly only if you copy " lockscreen.exe " which is in " \ Windows" towards "start menu"...
Lockscreen as quick link ?
Hi,*I applied both of your solutions, but didn't get them working ...
I can't find Lockscreen.exe in \windows menu.
I tried to put shortcut of Lock.exe in start menu or start menu/programs but can't work any more .... ?
Any idea ?
try to find lockdevice.exe ,Maybe lockscreen.exe is in max manila theme?
No such files, only have lockscreen.dll in \windows.
And I got error with lock.exe posted before ..
(I have orange Rom)
extract lockscreen.exe and Just copy into Windows directory and create a shortcut to copy into Start Menu Directory.
aslam o alikum all.
i updated rom of my hd2.
after that i was scrolling in windows folder and saw soliter, bubble breaker, auto update ,transcriber in that folder but these applications are not displayed on interface anywhere i tried to copy them but it says cant copy from rom directory .
anyone can tell me how can i bring them on home screen.
thankx in advance.will be thankful.
You need to click/hold on them and select 'Copy'.
Then you need to go to the Start Menu/Programs folder of the Windows folder (where all the shortcuts in the Start Menu and sub folders are), and then you need to 'Paste Shortcut' into here.
They will then appear in the Start Menu, or appropriate sub folder depending on where you Pasted the Shortcut to.
Edit:
To follow up on this reply, to have them appear on the home screen, you then can select them to add as required on the quicklinks.
dosent work
i tried this it works but if u turn your handset off it dissappears.but if you browse with file explorer its still their.but u cant see it in start menu.
