i updated rom of my hd2.
after that i was scrolling in windows folder and saw soliter,bubble breaker,auto update ,transcriber in that folder but these applications are not displayed on interface anywhere i tried to copy them but it says cant copy from rom directory .
anyone can tell me how can i bring them on home screen.

You need to click/hold on them and select 'Copy'.
Then you need to go to the Start Menu/Programs folder of the Windows folder (where all the shortcuts in the Start Menu and sub folders are), and then you need to 'Paste Shortcut' into here.
They will then appear in the Start Menu, or appropriate sub folder depending on where you Pasted the Shortcut to.
Edit:
To follow up on this reply, to have them appear on the home screen, you then can select them to add as required on the quicklinks.

i tried this it works but if u turn your handset off it dissappears.but if you browse with file explorer its still their.but u cant see it in start menu.

I found folderview.exe in my /windows folder and found out it shows my program folder. But it is not the same as the program folder from my startmenu. I noticed that folderview.exe is smoother than my normal programs folder.
I wan't to launch folderview.exe when pressing the programs button in my start menu. Is this possible?

yes, it is possible, make a shortcut for it and paste in Start Menu folder

Thanks for the reply, but I want it to replace my programs folder shortcut in my start menu. I dont think your solution wil do the trick.
if we're already discussing folderview.exe, does anyone have any idea what runs the programs folder if you DONT have folderview.exe?
Touch Dual's enlarge menu (Original touch dual's version) work by same method.
It replaces original files by new one, that works in ram (not xip), so it's more smoother and faster.

I have programs such as PIMBackup on my Topaz located on my SDcard, but since it is not installed, just run off of the .exe file in the folder, it doesn't show up in the start menu. Any applications who can help me put a shortcut to the .exe file in my start menu?

-got to the folder with the exe
-press and the stylus on on the exe until the menu appears
-select copy
-goto windows -> start menu -> programs (maybe different in other language ROMs)
-click on menu (right soft key)
-select edit -> paste shortcut
-rename shortcut

Is there a way to assin a new icon to the "lock" function? What *.exe is used for that?
I used this one (attached) and it works on HD2...
Just copy into Windows directory and create a shortcut to copy into Start Menu Directory.
Then you can also add into HTC sense!

I have an error during the unlocking with this file...
But it works perfectly only if you copy " lockscreen.exe " which is in " \ Windows" towards "start menu"...

No such files, only have lockscreen.dll in \windows.

I already copy the solitaire shortcut there but is not present in the start menu.
Use total commander and go to properties of that shortcut and "unhide" it. These shortcuts are often set as hidden, so u cant see them in start menu.

and how to make a shortcut to exe file?
in total comander highlight the file go to menu and there is an option to create a shortcut. In file manager hold the exe, click on copy, go to where u want to put the link, press menu/edit and there is an option to paste a shortcut.

hello my dear i tell you how speed up urs ppc and make own icon and user name as own
1st install xplore
2nd make own folder in My Documents like soft internet tools
open xplore go config mark show rom and hiden files
3 u see camera.lnk renamed with urs own name like zaheer
go to My Documents pic folders u make it befor
and copy to start menu
select folder u want to move select copy or move ok
now u have own named icon zaheer.lnk

This is a hoax - he just describes how you can have *.lnk file with your own name in the start menu. That .lnk file will then call the camera application. This will not speed up anything on your device.
