i want to buy this phone but am skeptical about chinese phones how ever this phone sounds sweet then again dont they all how ever all the specs and features sound great i want to be able to install apps and themes on the phone and also touch flow 3d or manila could some one tell me if it is possible for this phone it does have winmo 6.5 and hvga screen if some could let me know i would highly appreciate it

So, what can I say. It does what they say it should! I like it!
That's the reason I joined this site, to learn how to upgrade "cook" new ROM.
Seen WinMo 6.5.3, wanna try to install.
Phone's GPS has Route66 software pre installed, didn't like that one installed CoPilot8, works like a charm. Also installed Opera browser, IE is too clumsy.
Otherwise camera, Bluetooth, WiFi all exelent.
Do not buy copies!
Here we dedicate only to HTC devices
Stay with HTC authentic products for quality, etc.

Please except my point of view. I do TEST! I have many different devices besides the phones. I have one of the first N95's, now waiting on N900 been delivered on Wednesday. Had Motorola's and so on. Here just decided to try something different.
If I find that the phone is unacceptable, I'll junk it and move on. But first I will post my findings.

This isn't really the place to get updates or reviews on cloned phones. It's hard enough to get feedback on non-HTC phones, even if they have Android or WM OS on them. There is a German forum exclusively for Chinese phones that has a big thread on your phone. Check that out (chinamobiles.org).

Happy to help. Go to http://translate.google.com. In the translation space, put in www.chinamobiles.org. Choose German to English (or whatever else you like) translation and click away. In the forum, choose the Windows Mobile section.

A few questions about A880
Hello!
Could you please answer a few questions about A880:
1) Is the USB port standard or proprietory
2) How is the voice quality/Wi-Fi range
3) Most importantly, have you tried it with 3G or 2G/3G combo SIM card
For example in the USA on AT&T network some Chinese clones do not work
because of compatibility issues with SIM cards. I understand that the phone is 2G only but my SIM card is 2G/3G combo

You can look at the technical characteristics of Sunno A880.

а880 существует в двух версиях - без автофокуса (a880l) и с автофокусом (a880af). прошивки абсолютно одинаковые за исключением драйвера камеры. я покупал одним из первых A880L а прислали A880AF с прошивкой от A880L. потом пнул продавца - и саппорт прислал правда английскую, прошился - всё заработало. кинь мыло в личку - скину тебе прошивку.

I think it is currently only device that could replace Uni all thogh it has not much improvement compare to Uni.

Anyhow I suggest you investigate further usability of this device. I still have one Big question in my mind about this device: As the screen cant be twisted and the external screen is to small or not able to show contacts HOW TO MAKE Phone calls from contacts?????

The Toshiba's have consistantly bad reviews and the advice at Modaco seems to be to avoid them at all costs!
I use an Athena now but do mus my Universal... There is nothing similar available.
I use to have a Diamond using BBConnect with no problem. Now I change to HTC Diamond 2 and can´t use the program. Blackberry don´t fix (the message is no Pin no Conexion).
I suppouse is something that have to be with the Radio (I am using the version 3.44.25.27) but I really need Blackberry.
Any one can help? Any suggestions will be apreciated...

unfortunately I havn´t got any experience with this prog... but you are not alone with this problem... try to find a solution with the htc touch hd... the hardware-architecture is nearly the same like on diamond 2

In my experience, the network or manufacturer has to set up a licence with bbconnect to allow the service. You cannot just buy a copy or use an old copy to get it to work. The rhodium has bbconnect working this is probably due to it being aimed at business where as the topaz is aimed at the casual user who won't need it.

Anyways, she said she was playing a game, then it crashed and now has no sound.
My guess: She probably played something in 3D and the phone died. The broken 3D engine from the new OTA is the one to blame here.
Happened to me too, the phone ghot super-hot afterwards,had to emergency-remove the battery to prevent a meltdown

Special the o2 Band 20 is the one i really want to unlock
because its the only band that o2 is using here in Germany.

I really got into reading the thread for about several hours and red it over and over again...
My concern about getting the whole thing done before doing any actual work is the HEX Register
where the Bands are stored... (snapdragon 615 compared to the one in the thread).
But we will see and maaaaybeeee OPPO (or CM?) will do an update which would
be awesome.

Nice I have a mk3 with a 2001 cabrio front end im not good with hex code so i won't even try it till someone that knows what they are doing writes something with directions

Yeah please let us know what you find out. In the meantime in the US if you are on T Mobile you can use the phone with full H+ speeds. I am consistently getting anywhere from 4 to 10 Mpbs. To stabilize the signal I went and downloaded this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BBsRs.HSPAP.Tweaker and it works like a charm.

It looks like Honor 8x MAX but i did not find anything useful in that discussions.
The only (big) problem is: while i am in a call with anyone, especially inside a building, room, apartment ("indoor", it makes sense) most of the time the other person can't hear me. Instead, I can hear them perfectly.
I try different network band like gsm, wcdma, lte but nothing change.
I try different network sim card like Ho.mobile, Iliad, Wind but nothing change.
I try to contact huawei support but they can't help me.
I search on internet different time to find a solution; one time i saw a people has same problem without any solution.
Maybe the problem is the last upgrade firmware/emui (8.1/8.2 or viceversa).
Maybe the problem is the no-compatibility network band: i understood china hardware smartphone are slightly different than european standards but i retrieve my first chinaphone called Hero 9300+ (from 2013) with 3G band and it works perfectly.
Or, simply, it's the smartphone.
At the end, no one can help me.

I did it using the firmware service and dc-hpoenix. True, I have the correct information. Do your friends have a Chinese region? Write to me in PM.
