With this nbh you are flashing:
Radio - 2.22.19.26I
SPL - 1.33.0007 (perfect SPL)
ROM - Build CRC24 (flashrec.apk works)

Is this the original image of the phone?
Will it work on any Vodafone 32B?
I have a Vodafone 32B also with 0007 SPL and I might want to put it back as it was originally to send it to warranty.

Update fails on uk voda 32b. Says incorrect CID.

Search is your friend, too. Put it on your SDCARD and hboot your phone

Why would i want to try gold card when the op says it is the original vodafone nbh. CID should match, but for some reason they don't.

try the goldcard method
the goldcard method is definatley the way to do it.. the CID is actually some raw data on the sdcard.
try it.. search and u will see!

Does anyone know if it is possible to extract the spl from the .nbh image? I tried to use nbhextract app but it gave out an error saying that this .nbh file is not a valid nbh.

Has anyone successfully flashed this sappimg.nbh?

i rooted my vodafone UK 32b with perfect spl using this the sappimg.nbh from this thread and goldcard.

is this the original Vodafone UK SPL?
Without thinking I flashed my SPL with the T-Mobile one... idiot I know.

Can you talk me through the steps you used?
i have a Goldcard, i did it a while back now and have tried loads of methods with the .nbh file on the card. do i need to recrerate the goldcard for each thime i try the procedure?

Can someone confirm me if this spl will put back the original Vodafone rom, please?
Is this the rom for Vodafone Germany?

SAPPHIRE PVT 32B ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2010(SAPP10000)
CPLD-10
RADIO-3.22.20.17
And I can't load recovery ROM, so I want to go back to original ROM, so I was checking if this was the original Vodafone SPL and ROM to put it back on my Magic.

I haven’t tried to use this, as I do not want to go back to the stock Voda ROM – do you know why you cannot load a recovery? Are you using correct ADB commands?
fastboot erase system -w
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery [recovery name]
- press MENU to power off! (do not reboot)
- hold HOME and POWER to boot into recovery mode
- apply update

I think it's the perfect spl matter, i guess someone is still able to unlock it (eg: using goldcard or whatever method)...

maybe this will work, but try at you own risk...
copy the eng spl update.zip to sdcard,
go into original rom recovery mode (press home+power 2 time), you will have the option to run update.zip
if hboot update success, congratulation... and share with us!

This won't work as far i was reading , you need a newer SPL than the current installed. If I'm informed right at the moment there is no way to get rid of the perfected SPL which came with the official Sense upgrades.

gain rw without modify spl

above is confirmed won't work, try this to gain rw...
1) adb push recovery_mod.img /data/local/tmp
2) adb push recovery_ori.img /data/local/tmp
3) adb shell
4) cd /system/bin
5) flash_image recovery /data/local/tmp/recovery_mod.img
6) reboot (home+power)
7) adb shell
8) mount -o rw -t yaffs2 /dev/blocks/mtdblock3 <directory>
9) edit <directory>/default.prop
ro.secure=0
10) reboot
11) if you successful come to this step, you should know what todo next...

You can't use ADB with that SPL, already tried.

any idea on it?
i think we need a sappimg with the faked version number to downgrade...
but i don't know how to chane the version on the sappimg.zip

it is a normal zip format , it should be some one know how to modify.
but i afraid that would be some checksum by htc.

Sometimes i wonder whether ROM dev asked HTC to put so-called perfect SPL.
So that stupid and curious people like us happily flashed the update and stuck here.
So that we cannot disturb the devs who made customised ROM since we cannot flash any other ROM.(except new RUU update for other countries)
just kidding.

RUU for 32A MAGIC VODAFONE ROMANIA - RUU SCREEN

Can anyone help with a RUU for mai Magic .... because during and update with the latest Oficial RUU from Vodafone 3.0.... freezed and had to unplug the usb . Since then my magic is in RUU screen . The fastboot works but the adb services does not see my device.
A little help please. A also have the back-up img's from the nandroid backup.
Ideas to solve this are welcome.

Same for me , have to send´it to vodafone for re-flash, try the vodafone download site in PT they have the RUU there English and Portuguese, maybe it works for you .

Restart the procedure with RUU bit press on the action key ( track ball ) from the beginning until it finishes.

you will get spl 1.76.0007,and no way to downgrade.

I've tried to install the new oficial RUU_Sapphire_SMC_Voda_WWE_3.03.990.6_release_signe d_NoDriver from taiwan update.
It installed the hboot update and when was installing the radio update freezed at 36% and had too reboot it .
Since then my phone is stuck in Ruu Screen .
I tried to install different RUU but it keeps giving my the "custom id check fail"
The adb services doesn't work because it doesn't see my devices.
The fastboot it works.
ANY Help ...pls
I tried to make a gold but can't get the CID from the phone.

My phone's imagine seems to be 2.17.401.2 ( it shows during the RUU setup)
also it shows in the RUU screen :

Your goldcard didn't work. You failed somewhere. Try make goldcard again or take another card. Kingston SDCards worked flawless

If Fastboot works, you should be able to "fastboot boot" a recovery image, which should let you talk to the phone using adb. Cyanogen's 1.4 and Amon-RA's 1.5.2(G for 32B or H for 32A) recovery let you talk adb to the phone....

1. As you posted in december "Checking CustomerID. Update failed". You didn't make goldcard properly. There are many posts, when people made goldcard correct and did upgrade.
2. RUU_Sapphire_SMC_Voda_WWE_3.03.990.6_release_signe d_NoDriver
is NOT vodafone!
This upgrade ONLY for HongKong Smartone
3. Provide us you full SPL-info now and read forum, to get eng SPL and custom recovery. Official updates are not need, cause modified ROMs have more power.

Can't root my HTC magic after applying Nordic update

Hi, folks!
Couldn't find any topics about having problems with rooting HTC branded magic devices after applying _HTC Magic_RUU_Sapphire_HTC_Europe_2.20.401.2_HTC_Nordic_release_signed_NoDriver ROM from offical HTC home page, so have to ask.
Situation: HTC branded magic (32A). Before applying above mentioned RUU, tryed to root my phone. Everything perfect, but than i applyed backup from recovery flasher. Than installed this nordic RUU and it is not possible to root device using recovery flasher any more.
So how to root this device? Any ideas? I can't even downgrade to basic HTC provided ROM i had before.
Spec: SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT - 1.33.0014 (SAPP10000)
CPLD - 12
RADIO - 3.22.23.18

Tryed using goldcard method, but still it doesnt work. I used this manual - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=547133
I get to this point "- It should pick up the sappimg.zip and you should be able to flash it." and than it says: "Main Version is older!" and that's it. Where do i go wrong?
UPD.: Tryed this file (ROM v2.53.707.2) and those two manuals (http://vivekgolecha.blogspot.com/2009/08/as-promised-i-said-i-would-come-up-with.html and http://mariusmadsen.dk/2009/11/25/how-to-root-a-danish-htc-magic-from-3/) to get everything working.

I think I successfully made a goldencard. But it wont boot from the goldencard what ever i put on it. i get some error "no or wrong image

I used the guides topic creator linked to and it worked except that I can't flash my recovery program. Are you using Fastboot with USB connection to your PC?

yes i do, but i get an error.

thats when the phone is in fastboot usb, when the phone is started normally I just get waiting for device. But i know I have connection because when i run adb devices i get the serial number

How to root after updating to 2.56.494.7 rom

I had to update my phone with the above rom in RUU mode because it was stuck in RUU mode and couldnt do anything. I have a goldcard created but I dont know what SPL to install because of the rom version. would anybody be so kind as to helping me what to do next. Thanks.

Go in fastboot by pressing back+power (while your phone is switched off) and tell as what your SPL and radio version is. I suspect it's a 1.33.xx.xx SPL and 3.22.xx.xx radio, but you should better tell us in order to help you.

RADIO 3.22.30.17
Im on a 32b, S-ON H.

Are you sure it's 32B, S-ON H. If it's 32B, it should be S-ON G. Be very careful. If you flash your 32B Magic with a ROM that is meant for a 32A, you may brick your phone.

what originally happened is that i accidentally flashed my phone with an 32a RUU update, which didnt finish and got stuck on the RUU mode screen. I flashed it with an arabic RUU and i now my phone is up and running again. That is definitely what comes up on the fastboot screen. Is there a 32b RUU that I can update to? or can i root my phone?
Official 3.03.990.6 SenseUI ROM for Vodafone - is where I got the rom from.

You should follow the instructions on this post. A friend of mine did the same thing and I used those instructions to install Amon_RA's ROM for 32B Magic.
Since you' ve already installed the Arabic ROM, you should do the rest:

Put the flashrec.apk in the androidsdk folder. From a command prompt (the path should be that of your androidsdk folder) run:
Code:
adb install flashrec.apk
Put the exact name of the flashrec app you downloaded.
