running Custom ROMs on WM Emulator - General Questions and Answers

hey guys, just a quick question, ive searched around and it appears no one has asked this before
i currently have the Windows Mobile 6.5 SDK Kit with the emulator, my question is, how can you run a custom ROM on it? is there some modifications i have to do? or is it possible? this would save me some time without actually physically flashing a new updated ROM on my phone every 3 days or so

[Q] TouchPad Boot problem

hello everyone,
I have a peculiar problem with my rooted TP. well before i put forward i will provide a brief history. i Had with me webos updated version before i attempted to root my TP. I SUCCESSFULLY rooted my tp to cyanogenmod 3 android system and everything worked as it intended. Then i updated to 3.5 cyanogenmod and then a clean install to xronified version. my problem now is when i ask the system to shutdown from xronified version it reboots again while when i ask to reboot it shutsdown and have to manually restart. it there something wrong with the booting sequence.? i know the limitation of both versions of android but i am happy with the excellent work put up by both versions. i thought it would be better to question this issue in developers thread but as being new to THIS forum i am not able to.(minimum 10 posts).

[Q] Updating Windows 7 with Vanila ROM

Hi I am new in this board, so hello to all. I couldn't find an concrete answer to my question (if there's already one posted, please let me know).
I just installed the Vanila 1.0 rom on my Omnia 7 and it works fine, thanks to all of the developers, who can make such goodies possible. Now I became a message, that there's a update available, for more I should connect my phone with PC, BUT:
when I update, will I lose all unlocking etc features or what will happen? In the Vanila-Thread saw something with "Image Update" with .cab files, is this the only way to bring Windows updates on the phone, or can I update normally? This is all I like to know, I'm happy with all other functions.
Greetings, Robert

already running ElementalX 5.1 on rooted Nexus 5, easy way to update to ElementalX 6?

Sorry for the noob question but someone helped me root and install ElementalX many months ago and I've just been keeping it up to date using the ElementalX Ex Kernel Manager software which has been awesome and super easy to use. One-click updates and so on.
I'm already rooted and running a custom rom so my wishful thinking tells me it should be easy to update to the latest Marshmallow version of ElementalX.. IE I'm hoping I don't have to flash back to stock first.. get adb working again and run a bunch of commands etc. Plus lose all my configuration settings?
Maybe that's the only way but I thought I would ask first just in case there is in fact a dead easy way to do it considering my circumstances.
Many thanks to any who take the time to school me

At first, do you have a Marshmallow build? If you are on Lollipop, you can't install ElementalX 6.
Do you have a custom recovery?
You won't lose anything by flashing a new kernel.

Question about Nexus 5.

I'd like to install Kali Nethunter on my Nexus 5 6.0.1 m4b40x. It's been years since I have rooted a phone and I'm seeing a lot of conflicting info. Can I root this phone and put a custom bootloader on it? If I root it do I have to run a custom ROM? I ran Pacman rom years ago and would rather just stick to the rom I have now.
TIA!

[Q] about system/vendor/overlay/framework-res.apk from different roms

well, sorry if this is duplicate or annoying, i really got dizzy looking for answer..
all ways brings me to edit/theme the framework, but that no what i need.
i have a phone with android 5 as stock, installed recovery and kinda modified rom 6 (official update for another device region)
the guy who modified the rom, removed most of the languages, i don't know why!?
anyway all im trying to do for now, is combining or extracting languages from my older android 5 framework-res.apk to place them in androind 6
how can i do that?
2nd question, where does Lineage OS 13 keeps or stores the same file, since it even has much more languages in it.
Many thanks in advance.
