I am waiting for the Sony Xperia X10 to come out, but was wondering, what is the best Windows Mobile device coming out that will be able to run windows mobile 7?
I was waiting for the HTC HD2 , but understand it is not able to use 3g on At&t's network.
I like the Sony and not sure what the pro's of having windows mobile would be. Looking for a upcoming windows mobile device to contend with the Xperia.
Welcome to forums
Wll I would choose an HTC device because the great support of this site.
As for the new models, have a look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=595648
I´m not sure about which one will be able to run WM7
I would stay with WM as Android is to young and unmature OS for now, I´m sure in the near future will be great.
Just my opinion
Good luck,
That being said, what is going to be the best WM device say through Feb 2010?

There's a sticky at the top of this forum, called [EXCLUSIVE] HTC Portfolio 2010 (Q1-Q2). It has all the 2010 Q1 & Q2 devices with full specs and info. The rest is pretty self explanitory

Already many threads comparing newest gadgets, like diamond vs omnia vs touchpro vs xperia, even vs iphone. Typical 'what device after this' discussion. But i never see thread about the new incoming machine from HTC. Maybe i'm dreaming alone? LoL
Well then, what do you guys think about the rumoured android-powered HTC Dream? I read some articles about it on engadgets and pocketpcthoughts but it seems too little leaked information available.
Anyone knows or can predict it full specs? Will it be worth the title of 'Dream' machine?
For me, a non-WM pda might be called a dream after palm's turned-down point...

Infosync confirmed that T-Mo will release it soon in October!
Where's the enthusiasm, peepz?
Imagine what this can do, we saw some android porting thread in some devices forum, but no phone call function succeed. If this has been released, maybe we can dump and extract the rom? Or kernel, since its linux btw. Next thing you know, you can MAKE and COMPILE the kernel yourself....
I must be dreaming...
I'm dying here!
I have been dying for this phone to come out since I first heard about it in the spring. So, no, you are not alone. I have been trying to get comments since then too. The spec are available online and it will be released on October 13th. It will have Microsoft programs and other "cool" stuff. Been planning for this phone. I expected to pay more and am excited about the 200 dollar price tag. Woo hoo!
Has anyone heard something about Windows Mobile 6.5? I heard that Microsoft offered testing versions to phone manufacturers and in January 2009 there could be new devices with WM6.5 on the market. It would be interesting to hear that it will work on our Wizards because i heard that it has a lot of improvements like it will be more finger friendly...
OH SWEET THAT WOULD BE GREAT COS IM KINDA BOARD WITH THE CURRENT ROMS THATS OUT THR -----CANT WAIT
its in rumours that the new Xperia X1 is shipped with WM 6.5, my friend is gonna get it soon..lets see if its true

As several viewers pointed out on www.engadget.com - "Some of the icons are a little suspicious -- that "Today" icon is OS X's Home icon, for example. We're hoping this is the real deal and not just a user-made skin, but we wouldn't start making any long term plans here."

(Will unstick this in a few days.)

Yup, it isn't a WinMo subject, but, given that a lot of people want to install OS X on their desktop (regardless of when they want to develop for the iPhone or not), they will surely welcome my tutorial, which is way better and much more up-to-date than anything else out there.
there is another whole forum dedicated just to putting os x on ur normal everyday pc. believe its in the link, insanelymac? its been out there since 2005 when it debuted and i ran it on my pentium 4 lol.

Yeah, there surely is - if you read my guide, you'll see I've linked to a lot of insanelymac threads. It's just I wanted to announce the existence of my guide on also the WinMo boards I'm a regular at - after all, it's the first step-by-step guide to for example setting up the latest and greatest distros, hacks and kernels on the t4x-series Thinkpads ever written.
Well hey -- it looks like Windows Mobile 6.5 will arrive a little earlier than expected. A post on the WinMo team blog says that the update to Redmond's smartphone platform will officially launch on May 11, the first day of the Tech Ed conference. We're figuring that could mean we'll see the gold build demoed for the very first time, seeing how the version showed off at the glamorous MWC launch was described as an "alpha" cut. Of course, after that it's all up to the carriers and handset manufacturers as to when we'll actually see the OS loaded onto devices, but we're sure the hacking community will find a way to satiate the impatient until then -- or until Windows Mobile 7 comes out.

Finally!! I'm looking forward for the final version.
Have you seen the themes?? They looks pretty cool!

Good News! Wonder what will be the first new device with it pre loaded?
Somebody knows the build number of the final?
Great!
Hope ms impress us with something....
Great! The Topaz and Rhodium will get free updates, wonder if HTC will release them for other phones?
Hi guys
I'm a newbie here and I'd like to get some suggestions from you.
I don't know if I should get a Diamond 2(Topaz).You know that WM7 is very soon which won't work on D2 becoz of the screen.Should I get a D2 now or wait for WM7 phones?Plz give me some suggestons on this
And I think Nokia E72 and Palm Pre are also nice phones, how do you think about these two?
I'd be so sorry if this thread is off-topic here and sorry for my bad english.
Ni Hau
Welcome to forums
If you don´t want to wait till wm7 (Not before september 2010) you can go for Diamond 2, Touch Pro 2 or Toshiba TG01
Just my opinion
Good luck,
my honest opinion:
if you want something that works....get the iphone for the moment..you will look cool..and it just works...until windows mobile 7 comes with all its tegra and snapdragon goodness!
I see no reason why you should get a new HTC windows mobile phone right now, unless you have the cash to burn. Just wait for windows mobile 7. you will be much happier based on some things i have read.
