WM6.5 Voice Dialing TellMe - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

I'm currently using the MSD series 6.5.1.7 ROM with SPB Mobile Shell v3 and it's a really nice combination. However recently, New Zealand has past a new law that does not allow you drive and hold a mobile phone at the same time. This means I need to use my blue tooth headset again and do voice dialing. I have looked on the net for a voice dialing app that will work on WM6.5 and it seems that there is only "TellMe" from Microsoft and it is not for our iMate K-JAM/Wizard phones.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

I have been using Microsoft Voice Command V. 1.6 for a number of years on my Wizard with all recent versions of Windows Mobile. I have a recent version of 6.5 and it works just fine. once you install VC map it to button 4 and the bluetooth device will activate it when you push the button on your BT device. You can download VC 1.6 from various sources, but know that it is not a freeware program

Thanks for the heads up - I tried it on the MSD series 6.5.1.7 but was not able to get it to work for me. I'll give it another go.

Installing issues with Voice Command 1.6

Need help.
I have got a Palm 750 unbranded and so without any VC support. I upgraded it to VM6 (CE 5.2.1239 Build 17746.0.2.4) and everything seems fine. I purchased VC 1.6 US version for Smartphone (as indicated by Handango) for Palm 750 and tried to install it. Using Active sync 4.5. Everytime I do so, the cab file is correcly active synced, but on the device I always get the following message " Installazione di Microsoft Voice Command US SP 1.60 for M2M.CAB non riuscita". Translated it obviously means, impossible to install Microsoft Voice Command US SP 1.60 for M2M.CAB." Contacted HAndango support. Answer is: check with Microsoft Support. Problem into problem since Microsoft is asking for a s/n (which I cannot see since SW was downloaded without any packaging) and 299 € + VAT of cost!
Any idea about what's going on? What should I do? It is the right sw package for a Palm 750. Any help is greatly appreciated.

WM6 Standard & Ctrl shortcuts, Home, End - not working?

Hi folks,
first I had some troubles with using MortScript on WM6 Standard devices. Qtek 8500 works fine and supports all Ctrl shortcuts (Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V...) and Home/End... buttons. So all the scripts are working fine on WM5. Even WM6 Standard Emulator on PC is ok.
The problem is with real WM6 devices. So far, I have tested myself HTC S620, HTC S710 and Samsung Blackjack. The script wasnt working on any of these devices. Until today I tought it may be because of MortScript.
I have Freedom Universal Keyboard which supports BT HID (works without any driver). All the Ctrl shortcuts works perfectly on WM5 but there is the same problem with WM6.
What the hell is wrong? Why cant I press home button on my keyboard to go to the beginning of the line or select/copy text?
I am having the same problem with the i607 Blackjack. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Hi all

WM6.1 Full AT&T w/Voice Command & Remote Desktop??

Anyone know if there i a WM6.1 ROM around that includes Voice Command & Remote Desktop along with all the AT&T stuff?
Basically I'm looking for a normal AT&T release ROM for the Treo 750, but with the OS as WM6.1.
yeah the wm6.1 normal/generic version has all the att stuff you are looking for. You can download the cab for remote desk top and cab for voice command 1.6. You can have exactly what you want with very little works.
As far as i know there isn't anything that has everything you looking for as all these wm6.1 are cooked roms. No official wm6.1 from Palm or ATT

I tried your idea before. Remote Desktop works fine, but I can't get Voice Command to work. It will install, but it will never announce any calls or work through my headset.
The only version of Voice Command I could get in cab format was 1.60.4622.0.
The ATT offical ROMs have 1.6.18125 installed. I have a feeling that the newer versions make the difference. Any idea where I could find a newer version in cab format or an update?

Cannot change GPRS Settings - Locked to AT&T
I just upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.1 and it worked like a charm and from first glance it looks amazing however I am stuck with no Internet access.
I am not using AT&T network and everything works fine (calls in/out) but the GPRS settings are locked to AT&T.
I tried adding a new connection but it won't work since the pre-configured AT&T settings cannot be removed.
Can anyone help me unlock the GPRS settings?
Thanks

In the text is written under the xp section that it is specific for at&t, but at the vista version not. So I don't know if the remark is for both versions. You can try
A quote from samsung.com:
This upgrade contains several enhancements and features. Highlights are listed below.
Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1w/AKU1.0.1
Windows Mobile 6.1 includes new features such as bla bla bla useless info

AKU 1.0.1 means build number between 19202 and 19212, so that build is too old, because there is a newer build 19593 (AKU 1.1.7) from Pantech Duo
yep, and even a 19700 in the Q9h!

From the About:
Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard
CE OS 5.2.19208 (Build 19208.1.0.1)
Radio Version i617UCHH2
RIL Version 2.002
...and for the record, in typical AT&T fashion, they ****ed with stuff to be "smart" and it broke stuff. I'm an actual AT&T customer and I have problems getting some things to connect because of their STUPID, ****ING locked internet settings. So for those of you that are on T-Mobile or Rogers or whoever with an unlocked BJII, you'll have to unlock the internet settings to be able to connect.
Now where's my reg editor so I can fix that?

In here will be a value named "ForceCellConnection"
Change "ATT ICS" to "" and reboot.
ICS will now allow you to choose either ATT ICS or MEdia. ATT ICS will not work without a tethering plan on your wireless account, but MEdia Net will work as long as you have the signal and the basic pay-as-you-go feature (not recommended).
ATT ICS uses "isp.cingular" (tethering) whereas MEdia Net uses "wap.cingular" (general internet).
Also, the ATT ICS and MEdia Net entries in the connection settings dialog are read only and won't let you edit them, But if you navigate to:
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A38-5FF7-4...}\Connections
There will be 2 keys in there. one for ATT ICS and MEdia Net. In those keys there will be a value of ReadOnly. Change the value for these from 1 to 0 and reboot your phone. These connections should now be editable.

app unlock not working
followed the instructions on a fully, properly upgraded BJ2 (radio and OS confirmed) and followed the instructions for the modaco hack and sda unlocker and nothing is changed. I cannot modify the GPRS setting nor make modification in the registry...any clues?
Has anyone been able to add Google Search or a Weather plugin to the new "Sliding" Homescreen. I remember seeing a weather and stock quotes Home Screen plugins in the new HTC phones. I believe these plugins where custumized for the HTC phones, but they "should" work with the new WM 6.1 BJII Home Screen. Someone over at HoFo mentioned that the weather and stocks plugins might be for WM Pro (touchscreen) and therefore won't work on WM 6.1 Standard. I used Google Search with 6.0, but it won't install in the "Sliding" HomeScreen of 6.1.
Anyone?

check out the link in my post. I followed that and had no problem editing and deleting the settings. SDA App Unlock worked fine too. Don't bother with the GPS unlocker. I don't think you need it anymore.
*BUT*
It worked for me so it should work for you...
Good luck!
Remapping the BJII's CV and AT&T keys is easier in WM 6.1 than it was in WM 6.0. But I have been unable to find or figure out how to remap the Press-Hold Home Key in WM 6.0 or 6.1. I want to remap the Press-Hold Home key to start CeleTask instead of Task Manager as I find CeleTask a bit more useful. I like the new new Sliding HomeScreen, but it does not allow one to use apps like Right Menu and Smartoolkit. I know it can be done because I have used XDA cooked ROMs in my Qtek 8310 that had CeleTask remapped to the Press-Hold Home Key. Anyone?
I am glad I found this, works great on my wifes bj ii
