Voice Dialer for i-mate - General Topics

I'm using an i-mate PDA2K with a Hello II BlueTooth headset.
I'm looking for a voice dialer. Tried MS Voice Command 3 day demo. Have not tried Fonix and wonder what else is available or working well for current users.
Any reviews or comments appreciated.

Newbie question

Hi all.
Essentially I want to use my Orange SPV m500 with tom tom. Tom tom is loaded and works really well.
However I want to use bluetooth headphones, these work well with the phone, but not with tom tom voices. I was given advice on A2dt?? headphones and no joy, someone suggested I use bluemusic as this can direct all speaker activity through to the bluetooth phones, downloaded it, but it wont install.
Bluemusic site states that I nee wm5 or wm6, but I have windoes mobile 2003second edition version 4.21. The error I get is that the cab files is not a valid ce file.
Is there a way round this that anyone knows.
Can I upgrade the phone to WM5 or 6 and if so how do I do it.
Or does anyone know of similar software to bluemusic that works with my windows version.
Thanks in advance

Helmi Touch Dialer great on WM5 and WM6

As I reported in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=327128 I had problems getting smartdial to work on one Hima, while it worked great (both the phoneboost pack and the O2) on an almost identical one with the same Helmi WM5 ROM.
I upgraded the Hima with already working smartdial to WM6 and stumbled upon Helmi Touch Dialer in his WM6 release, that I 've never seen in any thread on this Hima forum before. I found out that it does not only work great on WM6 but even finally made smartdial possible on the other Hima that is still using WM5.
Thanks Helmi!
It works great !
Thx for sharing !
Yes it works, and it's great.
But unfortunately there is no conference button while I have call.
No way to make conference call with it. (
Perhaps the new WM6 ROMs support it? I can't try, my phone provider doesn't support conference

Which WM Smartphone supports 2 way Call Recording

I have tried many many smartphones (HTC S710, Samsung SHG-i600, Samsung OmniaPro B7320, Asus M930, HP Ipaq Voice Messenger NEW) but none except XDA Graphite supports 2 way call recording and very clear on bluetooth too. Can someone please point me to the right device whcih supports 2 way without puttingit on speaker and has Wi-Fi, GPS.
Thank You
Raphael (which is a PPC not a smartphone) works with SOME roms. There is a thread somewhere about it here.
If I would haven't bought my Touch PRO so fast then that would surely have been one of the requirements.

WM6.5 Voice Dialing TellMe

I'm currently using the MSD series 6.5.1.7 ROM with SPB Mobile Shell v3 and it's a really nice combination. However recently, New Zealand has past a new law that does not allow you drive and hold a mobile phone at the same time. This means I need to use my blue tooth headset again and do voice dialing. I have looked on the net for a voice dialing app that will work on WM6.5 and it seems that there is only "TellMe" from Microsoft and it is not for our iMate K-JAM/Wizard phones.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
I have been using Microsoft Voice Command V. 1.6 for a number of years on my Wizard with all recent versions of Windows Mobile. I have a recent version of 6.5 and it works just fine. once you install VC map it to button 4 and the bluetooth device will activate it when you push the button on your BT device. You can download VC 1.6 from various sources, but know that it is not a freeware program

Thanks for the heads up - I tried it on the MSD series 6.5.1.7 but was not able to get it to work for me. I'll give it another go.
