I've now tried several different bluetooth mono headsets, and all connect to the phone fine with one problem....
You don't hear anything. No one can hear me, I can't hear them through the headset. When a call connects I hear a pop in the headset and nothing after that point. I'm seriously ****ing over this problem. You can adjust the volume and end calls with the buttons on the headset which means the god damn thing is obviously connected, but why cannot I not hear anything!
Has anyone else had it, and if so how do I fix it. The headset in question is a Nokia BH-104.

I did a search on this and couldn't find anything. When I connect my headset (a simple wired headphone) when someone calls, the ring tone is heard both in the headset and the loud external speaker! When connecting the headset, normally the speaker should not work! How can I make my HTC TOUCH ring only through the wired headset and not the speaker? It used to work fine but something got changed or maybe some software i insatlled changed the setting. i have serached for days and can't fins any solution. Is their any solution out their?? Thanks
i would like to know as well
I have a Sony Ericsson A2DP Headset. It connects fine for both calls and for listening to music. There is however one small annoying issue.
If I'm listening to music (generally I have to have the volume up quite high) and a phonecall comes in and I take the call; something weird happens when the call ends.
The bluetooth connection is dropped and basically everyone in the vicinity gets and earful of whatever music I was playing before the call. This can be pretty bad if I'm sitting at one of our quiet, open plan offices. If I press the play buttin on my headset it reconnects and audio comes in over the headset again but it's not good to have to do this after every call.
Anyone else had this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Whenever I encounter a quirky bluetooth problem, deleting the pair relationship and repairing sometimes helps.
Works fine for me... Could be headset specific, as I use Motorola S9's and Plantronics 855's without the issue you're having.
It does it for me too. After the phone call the music is played through the phone's speaker for just a couple of seconds, then gets transferred to the headset in mono for a couple of seconds before reverting back to normal.
I can see this would be annoying if you were in a quiet place.
Sony Headset
and me, funnily enough I have a Samsung MP3 player and the headset works perectly with that - good old HTC
didn't really see a thread....mod's if this needs to be moved, please do so.
I've noticed a quark in the way the Bt audio gateway works on my fuze.
Does NOT matter which headset I use, but, 99% of the time, if someone
calls me, I hear the phone ring, activate the BT, they can hear me, but I
cannot hear them. If I shut the headset off, turn it back on and let it
connect, I can hear them & they can hear me. This ONLY happens on incoming
phone calls. On outgoing, everything works.
When connected, if you look at the BT icon, it shows the BT icon, with what
looks like a STEREO headset. If you click on it, it says connected to a STEREO
headset, which my JB2 or any other BT is not.
Is it possible that the fuse is using the mic, but the sound is being directed to
a non existent "stereo" headset, which would be the other ear?
Happy Thanksgiving! Everyone have a nice Triptophan (sp) nap?
Do you have MSVC set to announce incoming calls? If you do and you answer via the headset, you can't hear the caller. Disable announce incoming and it'll work just fine.
It's a known bug and we need to complain about it (and the rest, like the left/right dpad) to AT&T and HTC.
MSVC set to handle BT, announce incoming.
When I hit the button on the headset, the incoming ring/announcement stops,
the phone says it is connected, and the caller can hear me, but I cannot hear them.
I was wondering if anyone using a NON stereo BT headset, when you are connected, it says if you click on the BT icon, "stereo headset".
Just in case you missed it - you can't have MSVC announce incoming calls OR IT WILL MUTE THE CALLER.
Turn the announce off and it'll be fine until MS/HTC/ATT fix their stinking problem...
oh and don't forget to complain...
Oh, I have complained....never had that problem with the tilt.
I guess I'll go back to just having unique ringtones for everyone, so I can tell
who's calling...until MS fixing the #%@#^ problem. Thanks for the
clarification. This was driving me nuts! They could hear me, but I couldn't
hear anyone.

I noticed recently that I can make a phone call out using my BT headset and MSVC and when it connects, the BT drops the call and my phone becomes the reciever. Annoying when I'm waiting for the call to connect, and the person is already there on the line going "hello?hello?"
I also noticed that when I get a call, sometimes the same thing happens. My phone rings, when I press my headset to answer sometimes, it goes straight to phone.
Sounds like the BT is loosing connection...
Same here. I hear nothing on BT and I bring the phone up to my ear and the person is going "Hello?" "Hellloooo???" It is kind of annoying. I am using a Jabra BT8010 headset.
At work I listen to music on my nexus 5 with my headphones. When someone calls and I answer I can hear them through my headphones no problem, but they can't hear me.. Its almost as if connecting my headphones to the N5 mutes my mic.
Is there a setting I'm missing here? I thought the N5 may be thinking my headphones are a headset and disabling the mic but my other nexus phones had no problem with this.. I could recieve a call with my headphones and the phone mic would pick up my voice and as soon as the call is finished my music would begin playing again.. My N5 isn't doing this.
Any advice guys?
Are they cheap headphones? Like ebay special or something? Probably has the wrong connector and your phone thinks they have a mic.

is that headphone fully compatible with N5?
i own multiple headphones with mic and few wont work properly for calling(with RAZR).
For the music to play again, there may be settings in the app. Some players wont auto-resume!
