Put some screen shots up and I'm sure you'll have plenty of people willing to test.

i'm not doing anything else sure i'll test it.
i'd love to get some more themes on here!

Seriously, screens go a long way, plus we need the zip to test it.

Will be a test dummy!

Ok. links and screens are up!

I like the pics. Sometimes themes can be too over the top; I like that you kept it fairly simple. Looks like a nice accent

thank you for the comment

I dunno about the theme, but I'd like to know what the clock widget at the top is.

Great work! That looks awesome. I'll give it a try a later tonight and will let you know what happens.

Working fine on fresh .7
Bottom of the notification bar is messed up. Needs to be transparent.

Weird orange outline.
Bottom of notification bar is stretched.
I also noticed in your original screen shot that the spacebar of the vertical keyboard is stretched.
Besides those few things it is very nice! I like it a lot.
I would like to see the vertical keyboard background be the same color as the dialer background and not that gray color that it is now. And I would like to see the horizontal keyboard be orange. Please
and is it possible to make the background of the service bars and other notification icons blend in with the top bar?

Where did you get teh clock and calendar widget please? Really like those

The calendar is just CalWidget from Eggstein. I don't know where the clock is from.

Will it work with Obelisk's MoDaCo 1.2?

Tried it and it worked except I get the massage "The application Touch Input (process com.htc.android.htcime) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." I force close and it pops up again a few seconds later. Any ideas?

Appreciate the work.. but I'm liking the clear themes way too much, even though i like the orange.

Thanks for all the comments. This is my first theme and I was testing the waters with it. Let me know what you would like to see and ill see what I can do. The clock widget is digital clock and is awesome as an alarm. Download it its free!

Any ideas about the force close? I would like to use the theme.

I'm not trying to be a pest, but this is the color I've been wanting for a while. Please, can you fix the problem with the force close? I think it has something to do with the keyboard, as it wouldn't work at all. Thanks.

I'm working on a few things and will release another version don't worry.

White manila 2.1 theme

Hello everybody,
I did search but no luck. Maybe it has not been done yet.
What I would like is to have a mania 2.1 theme that looks exactly as the sub-menus look. White.
This would be good for several reasons:
1. You would actually see your screen in direct sunlight. I suppose you know what I mean...
2. It would give the phone an elegant clean look.
3. It would give the good old manila a new look but at the same time it would not be exaggerated or too colorful.
I would be glad to help any developer who is interested, but unfortunately I don't have the coding knowledge...I know design though and would be glad to provide any kind of image manipulation services if it's needed.
If this already exists please help me with a link
Also, what we might need if a white upper and lower taskbar theme to make this complete.
The HTC Fuze (for AT&T) stock ROM includes a white theme. It shouldn't be too hard to modify the art a bit to remove the AT&T-ificiation, and make a nice white theme.

Personally, I have experienced that white text/icons on a black or black-ish background give me sufficient contrast for daylight use. Perhaps you should turn off your light-meter and set the backlight lumens to 100%.
Thank you for your reply. Yes. I was looking for something similar... The only difference would be to have it the default touchflo 3d sub-menu color scheme.
It would also help me if someone would guide me to a thread that is about changing the text color...that would be useful too. If I could change the text, the only thing that remains would be the slide-bar which is easily customizable.
Thanks
As I was looking further I found a thread and it seems like he has only just started the work.
Here's the thread:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=79323
And the image:
that reminds me of chocolate vanilla poptarts. and now i really want some poptarts!
edit: by the way that doesnt look like manila 2.1 (i typed vanilla at first, hehe, damn delicious poptarts!) like he wanted. but it looks like a white background and a white slider canvas and a black flip clock. how hard could it be to get those up and working?
Yes.
All we would need would be:
1. Black text - which I couldn't find
2. A Custom Slider - which is not as important
3. A black clock which can also be found somewhere - not too important either.
And it seemed easy to me too, but unfortunately no one has made this before. If it is that easy please point me to a thread where I can get the black text from (for manila 2.1) and I'll be happy because the slidebar isn't that bad this way either.
ask in the manila 2.1 port thread. im sure someone will get you some black text.
hey look what i found. retro eh?
Yeah, retro indeed. I asked in the manila 2.1 port thread but they seem to be too busy with answering other questions and didn't take the time to even respond.
I can understand them because they have enough on their mind...poor guys work a lot for free so you can't be mad at them for not answering.
I just hope that one day someone will take the time to change the manila text to black.

remove notification bar icons?

Hey yall,
This may very well be a noob question, so i apologize in advance if so.
I am interested in removing a few icons from the right side of the notification bar, as seen on the home screen (as opposed to having the notification bar pulled down).
I read on the G1 forum that trying to replace these with an inconsistent set of icons (say, 100 different PNG's for each percent) yielded no success. But I just want to remove both the battery icons as well as the alarm icon.
the main reason for this removal is one, i downloaded an app from the market that has the % in an icon on the left side of the notification bar (search for 'battery indicator'; should be free) and i always have my alarm on, and check it in the application.
so my question is, is it possible to do this? If so, which files do i need to remove?
seriously? not even one reply? wow xda, im pretty saddened by this...
Bump
It would be nice to unclutter the status bar
Mostly no one has probably replied because you cant get rid of them. You could get replace the current PNGs with completely transparent ones. But then you'd just have a big blank spot between the signal status and the time.
thats what i thought i would hear. thanks for your reply

Couldn't you make the png 1 pixel by 1 pixel and transparent. THen you really couldn't tell it was missing.

I have a apk ready I can test this with real quick.
I'll report back
well, using a 1x1 transparent image did the trick with getting them to vanish, didn't break anything.
However, the 1x1 didn't seem to matter either, there is a gap, but it still looks good.

I just took the current image and made it 100% transparent.
could also replace the file with a 1x1 transparent image.
either way yields the same results.
if you still want the file, pm me and I'll link it.
+1 for the ability to get rid of some icons, the clock and battery indicator in particular.
I have trouble getting the Curvefish battery widget to update properly. Running Fresh 1.1 with MDK 1.2

Looking good, as usual, bro! Can't wait.
Not too fond of that blue/green color but seems really easy on the eyes.
is making a theme as complicated as making a rom if you dont know coding. or is it just changing the colors in the pictures associated with everything? cuz I've always been interested in making my own rom but I think that may never happen anytime soon, so my next step would be to make a theme.
Yeah making themes is easy,making good ones is hard.

I need a crash course...lol.
Its really not that easy bro I have been at this a very long time so seems easy but really hard work and takes countless hours. Both making themes and making roms is hard work. Not everyone will be able to do either just life I guess.
New Clock YouTube has grid in it and if you have good eyes the icon even has it
Love your themes, You do some great work manup, Just keep em comming for Cyanogen mods, I have been told it easier for Enomther because of his template..........
Ah, very nice~
Can't wait till mines come so I can try some of these new themes.

[ICONS] TallMin By Lekky

Firstly let me make clear that I have taken inspiration from SimpText by UltraLinx. I loved the idea he had created, very simple and minimalistic, however on my Desire the icons were just too small to be useful for me. Very kindly, UltraLinx also provided the PSD file he based his icons on. From this I amended the colours, the font, the size, as well as some more font options.
The end result is as follows:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I can create more to your liking if requested
Currently there are 139 icons in 10 different colours below:
Black
Bright Red
Dark Red
Green
Light Blue
Orange
Pastel Blue
Pink
White
Yellow

Thanks and good work!

For the record I don't think he's part of the Inc community specifically lol more the Desire community
But obviously he's part of the XDA community
Must say these look great. I loved UltraLinux's originals, having more options just means sexier home-screens.
Thanks!

Thanks guys, and yes I currently own a desire and galaxy s (my hero was stolen :'( ). I found the ultralinx ones way too small on the screen, these are more readable
Wow, these are awesome. Thanks so much for sharing!

I'm guessing the site is down? I would love to have the blue version but am unable to find a working link. Would anyone be kind enough to share if you happen to have the pastel blue ones? I would heart you forever.
I have never installed icons like this. Im just used to flashing themes through cwr, can anybody let me know what app they use to install them or how to install them plz?

I use launcher pro, install it then to change the dock icons just long press the icon choose custom and then select your favorite. First move the icons you want from the zip to a gallery folder, made it easier for me to find them
Incredible
Site is back up I'm a happy camper. Thanks again!

Nope, I'm patient...lol. Sounds like its under control.... Thanks for the reply!
I like very much. When can it be releasing?
I had a shot at doing a very basic translation, which wasn't too tricky.
The problem i am having is with APKTool.
See, I decompile the MIUI_Weather_7.apk, edit the strings.xml, and recompile it. Everything works fine....except when install it. When i pick to install it, it goes "application not installed".
So then i decided to see if editing the strings.xml was an issue. I decompiled the MIUI_Weather_7.apk, and, without making any changes to it at all, recompiled it straight away. It still gave the message "application not installed".
If anyone knows why that happens, please let me know - I think this weather application/widget combo looks delectable....just this annoying issue...preventing me from doing uh....anything

+1 on this. Yes, I read somewhere in this forum apktool messed up recompilation and suggested working version was 1.3.1. Hope to see it in action soon fllash...with international support though
i kinda like the look of this clock but i also love the flip clock so i modded the flip clock to look more like this style. still in beta, working out a small bug that when the digits flip, it loses the inner shadow, sometimes for good and sometimes till the next flip. will be available in all colors when worked out. or i could mod the non flip clock also. there shouldn't be problems with that one since it does not flip.
New MIUI clock looks nice
I also like the look of the new weather/clock widget. Its a fresh new look to the old flip clock. Please get this translated and ported over. Even if I have to manually push the files in I would like to try it out.
Thanks to whomever is working on this.
Kevin
