hi,
i would like to ask anyone, which apllication you use for IM messaging like MSN, ICQ, Jabber ...
I bought LEO 2 days ago and I cant find good apllication which support jabber, msn and icq together. I used Slick(lonelycatgames) with Kaiser, but now, on LEO it doesnt work...
Some idea which apllication use?
Shape Services IM+
better isnt?
IMO it's the very best Windows Mobile IM app. And it supports all IM services you mentioned and a lot more. Only thing is that it could be a little bit more finger-friendly, but the leo's screen is big And yes, it works on the HTC HD2.
I use palringo, works flawlessly for me!
Edit: Oh yeah, and it's free!
+1 for palringo. Very good bit of kit.
Another good program is Pigeon.
You can get it from http://getbest.ru/
Can I ask you guys using Palringo - does it eat your battery? When I had it on my handset, I would lose 10% battery an hour. Since removing it, i lose 1% per hour.

i hope this question isnt against the rules, honestly i dont even know where these rules are posted!
but... is there a way to use regedit on the tilt to change the registry to continually reset the remaining time on the agile messenger trial?
or.. are there any FREE AIM software for the tilt? IM+ and Agile Messenger cost money. and Fring doesnt have AIM! :/
this is what i use. been using this aim since my wizard days.
when i try to login it says.. "An unknown communications error occurred." and cant sign in
i actually paid the $45 for a lifetime membership of agile.
i was pissed cuz like 2 months later, i found a better and free program called palringo.
just recently i found an even better program and it's free. octro talk
http://www.octro.com/
octro talk is the best program so far.
just installed otro talk... it works and looks really good.
But i think i was multitasking on aim too fast. and the program froze and i couldnt reset it. (used task manager, clicking the x, closed through programs running)
Octrotalked slowed down my phone. I ended up going with IM+
im+ was the first one i ever tried. there was a crack for it on the torrent sites.
i thought it was horrible.
octro talk works fine on my phone. i use the aim and msn a lot and it never locked up on me.
Basically as the title really guys. Im running WM6 on my hermes and dont live windows Live, i find it clunky and not reliable to use but want access to MSN messenger and similar IM services.
Ive downloaded and tried SLick which looks nice but often is giving me the following error "you have been disconnected msn. peer reset connection 10054". Other times it works fine, but this is a bit too unreliable for me to be honest.
Thoughts/recomendations welcome thanks.
well i recently stumbled across slick which I really like. Prior to that I tried Parlingo which while good, lacks features. IM+ was very good, but I refuse to use it since I can't click on links that people send me. Agile messenger was also very good, but that stopped working over Edge/3g, and now only works over Wifi, for no reason.
I think Agile is the best, considering its features, however its not free.
Overall, I have yet to be satisfied with any chat programs on Windows Mobile.
Thanks. Do you have any idea why SLICK is giving me the peer reset connection error randomly?
From the sounds of it il give IM+ a try as im not too fussed about links, more just reliable IM-ing.
I definatly second your least comment, heres hoping A_C can knock up slide to IM or similar for us!
I'm searching a good IM which will support Gtalk & yahoo. I have tried few but none of them was good.
check out Slick (lonelycatgames.com) pretty simple, but does its job!
yeah slick isn't beta anymore
you might although try fring (dunno if it supports googletalk but its featuring filetransfair ;easy setup; you can even skype so call 4free if connected via wifi!) i'm happy using fring
i got problems with slick -.- cannot open the menu for more symbols, it briefly lights up and got back ! damn
nimbuzz is great
palringo too
which im works with gprs or edge
am using both palringo n fringr..both is nor working with gprs
In india data plans are very expensive so i want to im messenger that will take very minimum data usage So pls suggest accordingly that
May be you need to take a look at this:

Finally i have settled for Beejive IM on vox it works very well. It's UI is greater than other paid im software. It is in beta still it works like stable version
It doesn't have ICQ though does it? Most of my IM contacts are on ICQ!
according to the site is does support ICQ, didnt try it myself yet
btw: if a tool mentions aol and not icq, it still works. just login to aol with your icq #

Hi!
I'm looking for a good and stable IM client with low battery usage for my HD2. The Windows Live Messenger that comes with the phone is very battery friendly, but it's also pretty unstable for me. It often loses connection to the server. When this happens I can't send or receive messages. I have tried Palringo and Nimbuzz, but they both use far too much battery. Palringo used 2% of the battery in four minutes when minimized... Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Did you try the power saving option in Palringo? It works well for me.
Also, use 2G connections whenever possible.

get pigeon. thats the best!
get it on getbest.ru!
i use IM+ PPC and have no problems
Thanks for your suggestions.
NSider: Yes, I have tried with the power saving option enabled in Palringo. Still drains the battery very fast... Also, it can't connect to MSN at the moment because of a bug.
brandi: Pigeon supports too few messaging services for me...
romskii: IM+ is by far the best client I have tried so far. It drains battery very fast, but the push option makes it perfect. BUT since I installed I've gotten several strange error messages from windows mobile, so I had to uninstall it. :\
Any other apps?
I'm using Fring myself and I like it.
fring on hd2 ? is it possible to run this app ?

use talkonaut ... i think best messenger for yahoo and jabber and ... and also you can going to jabber's chatrooms
www.talkonaut.com
What about Skype? I heard someone else on here saying they run it 24/7 with no major impact on battery. Not tried it myself.

did you tried with BsB?
I use IM+ PPC and is the best.
try Slick. for me is the best IM app.
you can find it with google: Slick for Windows Mobile
Slick always crashes for me, with a memory error. IMPlus lite it is.
I use IM+ payed an legal version. Its the best i found ever. nothing bad to say about it and no errors. You will get a graphical error if you install Chainfire patch on IM+ .. thats all i seen in buggs on HD2, and i use Energy ROM instead so no chainfire needed .. or if its cooked in, dont know.
Push makes a great way for saving battery. But also ... HD2 have almost the smallest battery on the phone market and using internet services usally ends up draining any phone rather fast anyway.
Hello there,
I'm searching for a decent IM program for my Desire S. Palringo, my weapon of choice on Windows Mobile, is simply dire and unusuable on Android ... and I tried Nimbuzz on the recommendation of a friend and it's pretty abysmal too.
Neither service seems to be reliable on Android, with Palring being a sluggish program with little options and Nimbuzz not reconnecting properly most times and not displaying most of my Offline friends.
I've heard of eBuddy (free) and BeeJive (Paid). Are there any other solutions which would be reliable, uncluttered but have sufficient features and you can trust to display all of your offline contacts appropriately?
hmmm...IM+ maybe?
Try IMO. It's on market and is free..
imo...
So much promise. It's fast, silky smooth, easy to use and connection stability is SPOT ON.
Program stability? Poor. Cannot use it too much before it quits.
Time to try IM+
EDIT: IM+ crashes when I sign onto my Facebook account... not good.
Next suggestion?
WhatsAp ? its not bad
Trillian
Try trillian, it supports windows live, jabber and gtalk
regards,
Monk
I can also recommend Trillian. Everything is well aranged and it doesn't use as much battery as other clients i tested.
How is Trillian for connection stability and program stability?
With imo, my connection to all IM programs is fantastic, far superior to any other IM program I've tried, but the application stability is below average.
For trillian connection stability for xmpp is still not so good, constant dc. But overall program stability is pretty good.
