VPN Lotus Mobile Connect on Windows Mobile 6.5 - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hi,
My company is using Lotus Notes Traveler and Lotus Mobile Connect as solution for mobile emailing.
I could install Lotus Notes Traveler and Lotus Sametime Mobile (both intended for Windows Mobile 6.1) without any problem, however I am not able to install our VPN client, Lotus Mobile Connect.
When I try to install, the installation screen shows up and after 1 second gives back the message: "Installation not successful. This CAB file is not intended for your device" - I have attached the CAB file I am trying to use
Has anybody an idea how I can get Lotus Mobile Connect installed on the Windows Mobile Device (maybe manually) or if there is another client which I could use to connect to Lotus Mobile Connect infrastructure at my company?

Would be nice to get it working, ... but from my experience, good luck with "Notes".
It´s difficult to sort any problem with them

- Notes is not the problem here (at least not yet ;-) - struggling with the Mobile Connect client, maybe someone has it working on WM 6.5

Sounds to me like you are trying to install the CAB meant for Windows Standard (SmartPhone) on a Windows Mobile Professional (PocketPC) device.
Look for another CAB file on the download site. It should be there.

THANKS JDOUG - trivial error, now works ))))))

syncronize imap account in outlook 2007 with mobile

Hi all, I have configurated my imap gmail account on my pc outlook 2007 and is working fine. Now, when try to synchronize my outlook mobile emails with my pc, the mobile doesn't get any email from my computer. It seems like the imap account is not linked with the main outlook folders but to a new imap folder linked to gmail which is not recognized by activesync. The mobile runs under windows mobile 6.1, does anyone had a similar experience? how can I configure my outlook 2007/outlook mobile? I try to configure outlook mobile on my device but it looks like is not possible or must be done automatically when connected to my pc.
Thanks!
bugs on samsung omnia ii firmware
hi all, I've been reading on the internet and found that apparently there are some bugs on the rom of my device (omnia ii) which are partially solved by a new firmware release that can only be flashed at the samsung service center... By the time being it seems like there have been 9 releases but most of them still have any bug so think will wait to the windows mobile 6.5 upgrade which is expected for october. Anyway I do not recomend buying this phone until samsung guarantees that all the problems are solved given that very important fuctions on a smartphone like the e-mail are not working properly.

Syncing appointments via bluetooth from mobile to mobile ??

Hi,
I don't really believe that there is such a tool (nothing found with google) but...
I want to exchange appointments from S710 to my old SDA (runs also with WM6.5) to have know my appointments when I use my old "beach-mobile". At the moment I need to send Pimbackup-file via bluetooth from s710 to SDA and recover datas. Or I sync via "Microsoft my phone" (I have no outlook) but then I need to start my notebook because SDA has no WLAN.
So both ways are annoying - and if there would be a way to sync from Mobile to Mobile via bluetooth (not with single vcards/vcalendar) that would be great.
Does such a tool exsist??
Regards Odiad
Try to get an old Outlook (2002 is ok). It should be part of any device delivery for WM2k3 or WM5. Still you have to get up the PC but your devices stay in sync for what you configure.
Hi tobbie,
I've got an old Outlook version (don't know exactly which) but it runs not on my Windows7-notebook. Before I changed to Win7 I did this via Outlook. But I use a other email software, and to buy a newer Outlook only for syncing makes no sense in my opinion.
And a direct sync from mobile to mobile via bluetooth would be excellent. But I haven't really believed that I get a positive answer from anybody.
regards odiad
Set up a virtual machine in Windows hosting XP then install Outlook there or install the old Outlook on Windows 7 as an old application (XP mode). The first should work for sure.
My preferred VM is the VMWare player, but WM7 has an own.
Hello tobbie,
sounds good, but I googled a little bit after your hint (haven't installed a VM yet) about virtual machine and Win7. Windows Virtual XP machine on Win7 is only available for Win Professional or ultimate. But I've got only Home Premium.
And I don't know if there is a suitable freeware-VM, and if I have to pay for then it makes no sense for me. I don't need so often to sycronize my both mobiles, so I don't like to pay for it.
Regards Odiad
VMware player is free - I also use it and it is very comfortable. You can attach/detach USB connections from/to host/VM and vice versa. Definitely worth the time!
But first try should be to get Outlook running in Win7. I wonder why Outlook would not install directly. Can't you install "old" applications in a kind of "XP mode" in Win7?

[Q] Vpn for Wifi

hi,i have a problem in creating vpn for wifi connection...
our university use vpn over wifi to connent...means that first you must connect to wifi and then run vpn, type your user and pass and then you can connect to internet...
the question is how can i do the same steps on my win mobile phone?
my ppc is touch viva...
thanks...
Is you VPN client web based? That is, after you connect, do you open a web browser to enter username and password? Or is it a separate program that you launch?
hi.thanks...
it6¥6s a saparate program...just like dail-up connection window that we enter usermame and password...i think it had a domain tab also that was empty...
thay create it for xp,vista and seven that can6¥6t be opened in win mobile...
If it's a separate program than you need to find out if there is a Windows Mobile Client available. A program that runs on a Windows XP machine will not run on Windows Mobile.
