Information Required on Acer F1/Diamond2 - General Topics

Hi All,
I am in a bit of a dilemma, I am trying to decide between a touch diamond 2 and an Acer F1.
I need to know whether the Acer F1 screen is viewable in normal outside day light (I have a kaiser at the mo and cannot see the screen outdoors if the sky is at all bright)
Also is internet sharing available in the standard rom(sim free version) of the
F1

What are the differences between TyTN II (Kaiser) and Touch Pro?

Hi all,
Like most, I am really happy with my TyTN II but seriously considering upgrading to the Touch Pro - mainly for the VGA screen and snazzy interface.
BUT....should I really consider this as a "upgrade"?
So, all you lucky / proud (or not?) Touch Pro owners out there.....please can you help me determine the differences I am likely to encounter (good and bad!) when switching from my TyTN II to the Touch Pro?
Hopefully, this thread should then serve as a good resource for similar users.
Cheers!
Ringy
Will help me out too, as i have an xda orbit and up for renewal in a few weeks, the tytn II is easily available on O2/T-mobile, where as nobody really knows whats going on with the touch pro. Maybe i should forget about the touch pro and just get the kaiser ( stellar/vario 3 ), afterall its still an upgrade from my orbit.
It's hard NOT to consider it an upgrade: much more ram, nice interface (if you like it), VGA screen and faster processor. Less important might be modern look.
drawbacks: no tilt keyboard, smaller keys (but more additional digit-line), less keys on the outer shell (I really miss camera button and comm manager button, and others might miss the roller).
For now this is quite an early stage in ROM development, but I must say that even original ROM is really fast and really stable (no other PPC before: I had BlueAngel and Hermes - was even close to this in the begining).

You can look at specs of each device there and compare.

Dell axim X51v or some type of HTC

Hey all at the moment im using an Amsam M810 it was my 1st PPC but now i want to upgrade i cant decide whether to get a
dell axim X51v or else some type of a HTC.
THe dell seems to be the better option as i dont want to spend more than €150($204)
Id like peoples opinion on which i should get,Thank You in advance
I'd get an HTC diamond or touch pro, around here the pro is 175Eur second hand, the diamond a bit less. The diamond is a bit more sluggish (less ram), and the pro is thicker. It's 7mm thicker, which doesn't sound like a big consern, but it feels bulkier and it's heavier ( has more ram, camera flash and keyboard). You could also save some money and get a Touch HD, which would seem to be the best choise of the three. I have a touch pro and I'm happy with it.
Get the x51v. If you're into gaming or watching videos, the x51v is your best bet, and you even have the option for CF and SD card slots. For that price, HTC doesn't have anything that can compete. I had one a while back, and loved it, but left it in the airport, so I replaced it with an ipaq 210 (mistake)
Axim doesnt have phone support, your phone seems to have phone on it. So don't get the Axim.
Get a HTC Diamond or Touch Pro and you will be ready to go...
Be aware that the screens on the Diamond or Touch Pro are TINY! An X1 or Diamond 2 shouldn't be that much more expensive, and you'll get a bigger screen.
Thanks everyone for the input,At the moment it looks like the Diamond 2 or Touch HD
Although after watching this video i think i will save and get the diamond 2
(Cant post video but its on youtube called Showdown: HTC Touch HD vs Touch Diamond2

Help - Finding device /w Stylus (repl.PDA - phone or tablet)

Hi all!
first - I know, there is one similar thread, but slightly different and w no answer which I am wondering for
I am advanced IT user, currently owning and IPAQ 114 PDA and Xperia X10i phone.
I bought X10 because WM6 went unsupported and a lot of software was abandoned. What a pity...
When I started using X10 I thought that my PDA will be completely out of my live, and i will sold it fast.
But, many problems / unexpectations i found after short usage of X10:
- really bad display accuracy (I used ipaq for drawing schemes)
- senses only hands (we are having now here about -22 degrees of Celsius )
- bluetooth limitatons (160s ???)
- software main ecosystem is I think not so good
- many other details, but screen makes me angry often after 1 yr and is main problem for mw
So, thats why I am looking for device, which can supply my old Ipaq. I`d much rather use some basic phone (using only phone + SMS) and some kind of portable mobile assistant like PDA.
After stupid I***** boom, manufacturing and developing stylus based devices almost stopped I see.
I am looking for something with resistive touch screen - phone or MID or tablet. But in portable packing - less than 6" inches screen (dont need X cores and X MB of RAM and storage). Stylus holder would be great, but I think that something like this really doesn`t exists
Ideally based on Android - only because of apps.
For example - I found a device which almost ideally fits my needs - Benq S6 UMID, but its`s x86 based (doesn`t matter so much) and main problem is OS - noone has ported Android for it... (love Linux, but need few commercial apps )
Does anything like this exists?
Thanks for any response or idea !
Samsung Galaxy Note!
Galaxy Note would make a great device.

Galaxy Note. It doesn't have a resistive screen - but it's capacitive, which is easier to use with your hands, and features an EMR stylus - like a wacom tablet - which is bound to be a lot more accurate than resistive.
Also happens to be pretty much the fastest dual-core android out there.
Or HTC Flyer, a bit dated but it was the first Android tablet designed with stylus usage in mind

[Q] Cheap FHD Tablet with GPS and Custom Rom support

Hi Guys,
I've been searching for a while for a tablet that will check the bolded points below. What's not bolded is preffered, but not crucial.
-Cheap (Max $300, and this should include shipping to Romania)
-9+ Inch Screen, +FullHD IPS screen ("Retina" preferably, anything over 1920px is good, 2560px would be dreamy)
-Custom ROM support. Or at least rootable. Because let's face it, if Samsung and the other big guys can't make a great ROM from the beginning, what can we expect from a chinese company?
-Built-In GPS. Will be used with GMaps / GPS Navigators
-Quad-Core, 1.5Ghz minimum.
-Good battery life. Or if this is too much for the budget, then let's make it "not-crap-battery-life". 8000-10000mAh would be nice.
-MicroSD slot + OTG capabilities.
I was looking at the Ainol Novo 9 with its 2560px screen, but it doesn't have Custom Rom support(none that I know of) and neither GPS. Ainol Novo 10 Captain the same.
Any recommendations? The most important thing would be the screen as I would be using it mostly for showcasing my photography portfolio and watching videos.
Thanks,
B

Need suggestions for new phone.

So its time to replace my trusty nexus 4. I've had it for 2 - 2.5 years with no issues. I have been searching and googling my butt off, I have found some phones but would like suggestions please. My main uses are podcasts, Bluetooth streaming Pandora in the car. Lots of web surfing and reading articles. I really don't do alot of gaming if at all.
What I'm looking for with a $200-$250 max budget.
Android os with plenty of third party rom support.
Screen size 5" or larger
Must have enough battery to last me all day under moderate Usage.
A screen I can see when its sunny outside
Decent speakers, I want to be able to hear videos and stuff without cupping my hands.
Must have T-Mobile 4g lte support
SD card support
Nfc charging
Would like an HD screen but its not a nessity
The phones I have found that meet some of my list that I was considering.
Lenovo k3 note
Asus zenfone 2
Huawei mate 7
Oneplus one & two
Sony xperia z
Lg g3
