I have just downloaded and installed the new Xtrat game for X2. However, the accelorometer mode doesnt seem to be compatible with HD2. ? any idea
and also Experiment 13...
SE probably uses some next modules and drivers.
As far as Im aware Xtract (from the SE X1) has no support as the SE X1 had no g sensor,
Experiment 13 should work but doesnt for some reason

the new xtrat for X2 has acceloremeter support
For experiment 13, go into Settings>Game settings>Motion sensor on.
Maybe that helps for that?
Update: Just tried it. Didn't work =(
what a shame. Still a good game though
This is the probem we're going to have until WM7 arrives. There's no standard API available for programs to use, and the developers here weren't aware of/didn't care about supporting our devices.
where can i download those games?

Let´s make some advertising for the great forum here!
The X1 related thread is the source for those games.
I installed them on my HD2, even my son says wow. He´s an iPod Touch gamer...

Googling for Xtrakt is quite simple, but googling specifically for the X2 version of it isn't quite so easy.

Because there is no special Version for the X2. It's the normal Xtract Game, which also works on the X1

use gpad app, worked on hd and i can confirm works with xtract on hd2 makes it very playable. run before you run game.
I've read people have it working with g sensor on the htc Imagio?

Just noticed this post: this is entirely wrong, there are two different versions of the game, one that originally shipped with the X1 and one that shipped with the X2. The actual gameplay is the same, but the X2 version has accelerometer support (on the X2), a different intro animation, and 3D previews of each track, as well as some other cosmetic differences (e.g fonts).
Has anyone tried to add the games window class to accelerometer whitelist? It worked for NFS Undercover.

Hi All,
I just recently brought a HTC Topaz. And I love my phone, but I can't seem to find any decent games around?
Its a full touch screen with 4 tiny little button, which don't serve well as a game pad at all.
Are there any decent games for the Topaz specifically?
<My apologies if this phone has been discussed, game wise! I did search>

I know there are loads of games\links especially on this sight. I have noticed that the majority don't work very well with a touch pad!...
I'm looking for great touch pad related games....
anyway

A few of them I play with the stylus, like Warcraft and such, but the rest that I have installed works well with the touch screen or the acceloromoter...
Download a couple, and check them out for yourself
Hi, I was wondering if there was any way to port Super Street Fighter into our android community. It seems to be very possible for those who possess multi touch android phones. I am a newb so correct me if I am stating something incorrectly. I have not seen this done yet so was wondering as to how possible it was. Also, it would be pretty cool if we were to take it up a notch and make the multiplayer option for all android compatible phones instead of specific ones like the iphone.

Is there something similar to Win mobile?
just download gensoid or snesoid from the market. they have both paid and lite versions. then google a rom site to download the super street fighter rom. i have it for gensoid but i will say that with touch screen some of the moves aren't as easy to pull off. you can also download rom buddy from the market if you don't find any good rom sites. good luck
The Yinlips YDP-G18 is probably the cheapest Android device you can find with dedicated game controls. It would be cool if someone could cook up an updated English language ROM for it.

Hello,
This is a very promising console, we are currently testing and we must admit that this console is doing pretty well ... It's just a few thoughtful developers to take advantage of the machine maximum.
Go on google and write "CAANOO forumactif" to see the test!
The root is effective and the market is available.
Sorry for my poor english, i'm french
They already rooted it and installed android market on it. IMHO, it should get its own section. Having stripped down froyo or gb roms on it could further improve performance and battery life.
If I had the coin, I'd buy it right away. It's priced at $125 with free shipping. And it's the projection of my most beautiful dreams. Except for the two cameras it has.
It's actually a good product that can have enormous potential. Its biggest flaw is its current autonomy should be 3 hours with Wi-Fi enabled.
The screen is resistive, but responds well. It allows running N64 and PSX games fairly easily and without overclock.
I would love to also see a section for Android handheld and quickly see the arrival of Roms Customs and modified kernels.
For those who want to take the tests, the French member of the community are being Caanoo get them to see what she has in the stomach. I'm happy to keep you informed of the various tests that we will achieve.
I'm also getting one of these, looks promising with some tweaks or a new custom rom will be much better
Only 3 hr battery life? You'd think they'd be able to get more in there. But cool concept nonetheless.
Those who want to see the handheld running you can go see the videos that were made by @ BAFelton at: Sorry but i can't link URL, so Go on Youtube and search BAFelton61
It gives a good idea of what is possible.
Also, @ qbertaddict also examines the machine
Will get back to you almost certainly after the new year. Ordered it yesterday and they announced 15-20 business days until arrival
Yinlips has announced the update 2.3 (gingerbread) on the G18. This is good news to know that there is a follow-up from the manufacturer!

From what I can see in the videos, it's Chinese by default but can be changed to English. Since it's an Android device, in theory you would eventually be able to cook custom roms for this thing.
This is a steal, even though the touchscreen is resistive the specs are very good.
My interests are in the details, though: Does the analog stick work as a mouse in android? How is the screen quality with brightness and color? How easily can ROMs be customized?
If these things met with satisfaction I would buy today.

Finally a full basketball game for Android, although there's nothing about Xperia Play Optimization which is kind of sad, but there's nothing confirming that it WON'T be optimized for our phones I hope it will be though, because NBA JAM just isn't doing it for me.

WTF to 2k, this just because the ****ing compatiblity of ICS. Google want to save his face so ask some devs to add OS restriction to their new games, not base on ics directly.
And i just found a pirated version with restriction hacked which can be run on 2.1 flawlessly, maybe 2.3 as well

Care to share what search terms where involved?
Do hardware buttions work?
Bah, at this point, since it's only available for ICS I doubt it has optimization. I emailed the developer yesterday wondering why none of my devices had shown up as compatible, but it's just the ICS restriction. I also asked about Xperia Play Optimization.
But I haven't gotten a response yet, so fingers crossed!
If I have to believe what I saw, it isn't XP optimized and it doesn't work properly in our phones. In fact it's optimized for Tegra devices.

If some one can get it to play without restricitions you can in theory use "Game Keyboard 2.0" and optimize it to the gamepad on the Xperia Play and see how that works out. PM me a link to that version thanks and good luck to you guys keep us updated.

I have an Xperia device and was searching through the Play Store for anything that's Small App compatible, then found this video demonstration of an app:
" ソニタブッター for small app: http://youtu.be/cG63zb4jN9w "
My question: What on earth is the device used in the video?
It could be something Sony, since it was demonstrating a Small App for Xperia devices. It's definitely Android, since it was demonstrating functionality of something in the Play Store. This is the only video by that uploader on YouTube and his channel is in a foreign language, otherwise I'd ask him directly.
It looks like a really cool device , and might be fun for everyone to know more about.
Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You're welcome?
Yeah, but Honeycomb feels awkward and nerfed between 4.0 ROMS and Cyanogenmod 7's openness.
Definitely good hardware for its time though. I wonder what other special development endeavors were made on the device?
Maybe it would've caught on if it had some sort of interface on the outside of the clamshell as well? Like the concepts in Samsung's demo video when they first announced flexible displays.
But that's a different subject.
Thanks again for the information. No question about it this time ?
