Rom Devs read this before posting! - myTouch 3G, Magic Android Development

BE Forwarned!
If you are a rom Dev, and you post a rom on this forum, I will be checking the roms for warez.
As a dev, I know how hard it is to put out good quality work, and if your a rom dev you should know as well.
Because of my respect for other devs, whether its roms or apps, and my respect for XDA (Who could be sued for warez being present here), I will check every rom posted.
If I find that your rom contains warez, I will remove the links to your rom and let you know that I have done so. I will ask you to remove the warez before putting up a link to your rom again. At the time that you post the new link to your rom, I will check it again for warez. If I check your rom again and there are warez present I WILL lock the thread and remove your links untill you present me with a clean rom, at which time I will unlock your thread. If I lock your thread and it remains locked for 7 days with no response from you, the dev, I WILL delete the entire thread.
What Constitutes as Warez?
Any application that is a paid for app.
Any Applications listed below:
QuickOffice
Other Mods, feel free to add to this.

this thread is folly.
Pm me your email and I will send you some zips with 960+ roms..
ROMs are illegal to share, you shouldn't ask for links here. Learn to google.
S_Dot you should consider removing that link before a Mod does it for you

Thanks I know how to google. By the way, there's an option in the app which directs you to that same page, so I'd figure it's not that big of a deal.
Thread closed as [OP] is requesting warez.

Thread/user that should be banned

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2077908
This is what i'm talking about. This guy posts links for two files and asks us if they are working on some devices. And that's all. No credits, no direct link to the original thread.
I wanted to post on his thread, but i don't have 10 posts . Those roms are not working on ZTE V71A !!!
If anybody wants to try them on other devices...be my guest.
Report the thread. Don't create another thread asking to ban that thread!

Message to the Moderators

Team,
While I certainly understand your position of attempting to eliminate frivolous posts by enforcing your ten posts rule, I would ask that you understand a few items:
1) Not every one of your users are 25 years old and can easily read a Captcha image. I happen to be a very healthy and spry 61 years old, but my eyes are not what they use to be, and I literally have to go through several (many times ten or more) Captcha images before I can get one that I can read.
2) There are always alternatives to the ten post rule - especially for very experienced users such as myself who have limited time and find it troublesome to abide by this.
3) While I certainly can provide "useful" information, at this point in my life with a home, a family and many obligations, I would ask your advice on the quickest method to reach this ten post plateau without being redundant or unnecessary in my posts.
As a former field tech, and subsequently a Systems Engineer at Telcordia Technologies I certainly can be of use to your forums - I am simply asking that you understand the point of view of an individual who is older and has limited time on his hands.
Thanks.
Which 10 post rule are you talking about?
Looking over your past posts it looks like there seems to be an idea that you have to have 10 posts to download something.
The 10 post rule is that you cannot post in development sections until you have 10 posts, but you can download anything on this site any time you want.
In fact, you don't even have to be registered on this site to view or download stuff.
Can you provide a link that you are unable to download something here?
Here is the link and reply

That post link gives me a 404 error, but note that a couple of your duplicate threads asking for a Flyer RUU were deleted (you cannot post the same thread multiple times here, that is spamming)
I understand your post.
The italics you showed is what you get when trying to post something, not clicking on a download link.
Can you please post a thread or download link you cannot access or download?
Otherwise I don't see the problem.

You are correct - that link is no good and has been deleted (according to moderator stamatis).
The issue is, when I search again and try other links in posts that are trying to assist with solving this RUU issue, I am still getting the following:

Thanks for your help, I'll keep trying to find my RUU file.

Actually you are pasting the link wrong.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1062184
If this is the link, you probably don't have access to it, as it is deleted.
So you are not trying to download something but to find the thread in order to download it, right?
Just trying to find a good thread

Ok, then it isn't a forum problem and there is no post count restriction for download anything.
The problem is that the thread that you got the link from hasn't been updated to link somewhere else.
I hope that you will find the file you are looking for, keep searching.
I am not a fan of the 10 post rule either. I need to report a bug to a dev for a rom that I am testing but can't until I post 10 meaningless articles. I have been using this site for information for quite a while now but have never had the need to post until now. The catch... I first have to rack up the 10 posts. 10 meaningless to be able to post 1 meaningful.

why do devs pull all downloads, documentation etc. when they get bored?

Note the gapps maintainer's thread here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
All download links, documentation etc, is pulled, omnirom and some other rom websites still link to that thread.
The question is simple, why do dev's when they get bored/retire etc. decide to pull all download links, documentation etc, instead of just saying there will be no more new versions?
I'm going to end this thread here, cause I know exactly how it will play out.
Devs do this for free, for fun, and owe no one anything. If they want to remove their links when they discontinue a project, that's entirely their decision and right.
No discussion is required on this. It's their rom, their thread and their link...... And they don't need to explain to anyone why they remove their links or not.
Thanks,
Darth

@utwer As you see in your above linked post, a link to 4pda had already been removed in December. Nonethess, you didn't care and posted one again. I've again removed the link to 4pda from your above post!
4pda is not only another phone related website (and not at all affiliated with xda-developers) but also well known for the distribution of malware and warez. Links or references to 4pda are not accepted on XDA.
