Hello, i have a little problem here.
I try to make a guide in the Motorola Milestone android development and I cannot publish it.
It tells me that:

1. To prevent spam to the forums, new users are not permitted
to post outside links in their messages. All new user accounts will be
verified by moderators before this restriction is removed.
If I understood well, users that they don't have any threads are not allowed to publish outside links till a moderator verify my account.
If this is the only problem I need a mod to verify their account.

r u posting a link tho? i would PM a mod that's online (at the bottom of the forum home). check your content then try again.. i never had this issue before!

I Have that problem too.Maybe you have to tell an admin or something.

You don't have enough posts to post in the dev sections. For the posters above you. Go to the dev section you want to post in. You can find the moderator of that section if you scroll down to the bottom. Right under where the page numbers are.
how are you supposed to have enough posts in the dev section if you cant post in the dev section?!
Build up your posts in other sections. Then when you have enough posts go back to the dev section you want to post in and make your post.
i did, the text calls for 10 or more posts in other sections, i have 12 in epic 4g q&a, and in general discusion q&a... and i still cant post in dev!!!
Sorry I didn't realize what your post count was. I would send the moderator of that section a pm and ask.

The 10 posts rule is just the number at what point the mods will even think about clearing you for developement forums.
Looking at the the post you have made so far, you have not constributed much.
Half of those posts are just spam.
Make some usefull posts, i.e. helping people here.

While I certainly understand your position of attempting to eliminate frivolous posts by enforcing your ten posts rule, I would ask that you understand a few items:
1) Not every one of your users are 25 years old and can easily read a Captcha image. I happen to be a very healthy and spry 61 years old, but my eyes are not what they use to be, and I literally have to go through several (many times ten or more) Captcha images before I can get one that I can read.
2) There are always alternatives to the ten post rule - especially for very experienced users such as myself who have limited time and find it troublesome to abide by this.
3) While I certainly can provide "useful" information, at this point in my life with a home, a family and many obligations, I would ask your advice on the quickest method to reach this ten post plateau without being redundant or unnecessary in my posts.
As a former field tech, and subsequently a Systems Engineer at Telcordia Technologies I certainly can be of use to your forums - I am simply asking that you understand the point of view of an individual who is older and has limited time on his hands.

Which 10 post rule are you talking about?
Looking over your past posts it looks like there seems to be an idea that you have to have 10 posts to download something.
The 10 post rule is that you cannot post in development sections until you have 10 posts, but you can download anything on this site any time you want.
In fact, you don't even have to be registered on this site to view or download stuff.
Can you provide a link that you are unable to download something here?

That post link gives me a 404 error, but note that a couple of your duplicate threads asking for a Flyer RUU were deleted (you cannot post the same thread multiple times here, that is spamming)
I understand your post.
The italics you showed is what you get when trying to post something, not clicking on a download link.
Can you please post a thread or download link you cannot access or download?
Otherwise I don't see the problem.

You are correct - that link is no good and has been deleted (according to moderator stamatis).
The issue is, when I search again and try other links in posts that are trying to assist with solving this RUU issue, I am still getting the following:

Ok, then it isn't a forum problem and there is no post count restriction for download anything.
The problem is that the thread that you got the link from hasn't been updated to link somewhere else.
I hope that you will find the file you are looking for, keep searching.
I am not a fan of the 10 post rule either. I need to report a bug to a dev for a rom that I am testing but can't until I post 10 meaningless articles. I have been using this site for information for quite a while now but have never had the need to post until now. The catch... I first have to rack up the 10 posts. 10 meaningless to be able to post 1 meaningful.
For the forum moderator , as one of the forum modertor has removed the post earlier giving the reason as one thread is there for whatsapp grp. Please read this before removing the thread 1. The thread is for whatsapp grp and you cant have your grp link in their thread
2. The grp admins are way too muh strictive even on asking remi note 5 processor quetion.they kick
3. I have done a work on the mi5x rom and i need support of pther devlopers to help me in my devlopment so i request you to let me complete my devlopment.. and let some pther devlopers help in the mi5x rom for mi a1
Here for members devlopers and testers...guys you all can join but we need many to even test our ported rom . Normal rules like no slang no off topic and medium is english...thank you

As i have told you before, there is already a whats app thread. there is no need for another.
Also, what happens in that WhatsApp group has nothing to do with us here on XDA. Do not bring any drama from there to here.
You are welcome to discuss here about your development. Either open a thread in the general discussion section to discuss it, or release something and look for help with development in the development section.
