Tried the search but with no luck.
It seems since 6.5 MS left out the option "fit to screen" in internet explorer.
I can only choose under view between "mobile" or "desktop" and for some sites this is not an option. I need to get back "fit to screen".
Any ideas?

Hi everyone,
This is my first thread so I would like to say hello to everyone in this family, first of all.
OK, now the problem. I use world off line to record the news and other websites so I can read them every day when I go on the tube. For that and by default WOL uses Internet Explorer, but can someone tell me if it's posible to view WOL contents in Opera (as I like more the browser in my VGA pda). I've tried already setting up Opera as a default browser, but it still launches internet explorer.
Thank you.

Are you sure you did check in the "Set as default browser" checkbox in Opera Mobile? Try it once more and also make sure you poiwer down your PPC BEFORE resetting it (so that the Registry changes are surely flushed back to the Flash ROM)
I followed your advice but still the same, launches IE by default. I've emailed Sunnysoft to see if they can help me. I'll let you know if there is any advance.
Thank you for your help.

OIC, so, you're using the Sunnyosft Language Extender?
I have this phone for 1 month or so..
Can't seem to find anything in the phone, useless manual or on the net..
heard something about registry..something..
Have no idea how to do that.. it's just annoying to press "favorites" and "google" every time I open Explorer.
someone?
I have irritated myself about this too. I recommend you try Opera instead, I can almost guarantee you'll be much more satisfied with it. I installed it yesterday (far too late, should have done it ages ago), and am very happy with it.
Thanks, I'll try that.
where can i get the opera browser that works ? i try opera 8.0 and there its issue with buttons ..
Opera 8.65 will not install on my Vox. Anyone know how to get it to install on the Vox?

if you have access to a registry editor, you will need to edit the paths below
hklm -> software -> microsoft -> internet explorer -> about urls -> howe_xxx
change the entry in home xxx depending on the version of handset, this can be found out based on the default start page idisplayed.
rgs
thank you.
btw, That's what I call a user-friendly operating system.
GOOD JOB MICROSOFT!

I am looking for a program that will display on the today screen my running programs. I do not want it to be in my system tray but a plug in for my today screen. Any Help?
Resco Explorer 2007 has a today plugin where you can show - amongst many other things - running programs.....
It's not free, but there's a free trial you can have a look at to see if it fits the bill.....see www.resco.net for features and download link.
HTH,
Mark.
thank you but im looking for something that is not collapsible. Something simply that will show icons of my running programs.
Wisbar Advanced 3 will do that.
no, wisbar only shows it in the top bar.. i need it in today screen
O2 phone plus has a plugin that does thats...
exactly what i needed.. works well too.. thank you

So-net Not Found
Could someone post a cab (or a link to one)?
Everyplace advertising DevState links to the same page (So-net) with a green bar displaying "Not Found".
TIA

Did you ask your friend Google?
I did.
Found a forum linking to a rapidshare download:
http://foro.todopocketpc.com/showthread.php?t=127919&page=91
(just CTRLF-F on devstate)
Nice program, by the way.
Excellent! Thanks!

Yep, for about an hour, and all the links that I could actually read were to the same place with the Not Found message.
I may have seen this page before but I would have skipped over it since it is in Spanish. Unfortunately I only speak English. (I just followed your link and looked for rapidshare)
wkTask
I used to want this too but found an ever better solution I thought I would share.
http://soft.photoracer.net/docs/wktask_en.html
There is (or was on 2008-07-19) a video on the page linked above that shows what it can do.
wkTask is not a today screen plugin but rather displays tabs for running programs on the top bar very similarly to windows 9x,xp,vista so if you are on the today screen (or any other non-fullscreen mode programs) you will still see and know what is running.
It also allows you to change the functionality of the X/OK button.
It is also a program launcher.
It is free and also very customizable; so if it does not work exactly like you want it to, don't throw it out right away, check out the preferences and see if the undesired effect is an option you can disable or change.
The Opera features say you can dial a phone number directly from a webpage (like its possible on the iphone)... anyone got a clue, that function does not seem to work on my phone?

Why is it that Opera on my Fuze (Stock ROM), running 3G, doesn't open http://www.google.com/news. I get a "The requested page can not be displayed" error. Other websites open just fine. If I put the phone in WiFi mode then the website opens as normal. Why would going through 3G keep this particular page from opening? Can you guys open that page on your Fuze with 3G? If I use Opera Mini the site open as normal.

Have you checked to make sure your device is not running through the proxy? Check Settings-->connections-->connections-->Advanced--> medianet-->proxy
Make sure the box is unchecked that says "this connection uses a proxy to connect to the internet"

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, that was one of the first things I looked at. Yes, it is unchecked. The only check mark is, "This network connects to the internet". The box below that is unchecked (Proxy).

How about "remove hidden proxy" cab? It's in my sig if you don't have it.
Go into Opera and type "opera:config" into the url bar. Go to the "Proxy" section and uncheck "Use HTTP" and "Use HTTPS". That proxy wreaks havoc with HTML not meant for mobile browsers.

On my Fuze, in the Tools folder there is Disable Proxy and Restore Proxy function. I've tried both of them and still couldn't get that website to work. Are these two programs the same as the one you recommended?
What Drachen said will fix your problem. It is the AT&T proxies that are causing it not to work. Just be aware if you need to access Media Net or Cingular Video (any internal AT&T site) you will want to re-enable the HTTP and HTTPS proxies.

Interesting problem. I've tried disabling the Proxy with the Icon in my Tools folder - didn't work. I then downloaded the Cab file from "scotchua", thanks. But it still didn't work. Not sure what else to try. As a side note, when I use the Disable Proxy program Internet Explorer no longer works. I have to re-enable the Proxy in order for that to function.

Glad to help. That drove me f'ng nuts for the first two hours I had the Fuze. I use the iPhone version of Google Reader as my main RSS reader on Opera and I was just about to cancel my brand new contract and take the Fuze back to the store before I saw that proxy setting!

This Disable Proxy program disables the proxy for Pocket IE but not for Opera (which is now setup as the default browser on the Fuze). What you are probably seeing when you run the disable proxy is that PocketIE is not working as it defaults to the Media Net homepage which you can't get to if the proxy is diabled.
What you need to do is follow the instructions from Drachen to disable the proxy from Opera so you can get to the sites.
