wipe your Dalvik-cache if using RA latest image or flash from fresh

My bro was watching something on Youtube about this rom. I never have heard of it. Did not see it in the rom database.

Those ROMs are current ROMs that are being developed. The MoDaCo 1.5.1 ROM is not being worked on anymore.

Right now your best bet is kingklick 2.3

Modaco 1.5.1 is a great Stable rom. There aren't that much improvement in the current Hero rom. Some multi touch apk etc. But it is pretty much the same.
If you like Modaco 1.5.1 try Mlign 3.0 it works well and in similar fashion. Second to that is KingKlickx 2.3

[32A][ROM][PORT] Drizzy's Hero v1.2r1 w/ Amon RA's Kernel v1.1.0 [Sept. 9 2009]

Original thread
All credits to Drizzy (check thread), TigerTael (for his kernel patch) and Amon_RA (for the actual kernel)
Drizzy's Hero v1.2r1 w/ Amon RA's kernel v1.1.0 [rapidshare][mediafire]
[MD5: 66da6a1425eba051c479a0384d981649]
Note: Also changed lockscreen to the nice stock arc one
This is basically a full hero rom with many goodies added (hint: Footprints, java, Stocks ) and two apk files removed (check original thread).
I have replaced kernel and wlan.ko with files from Amon_RA and also AudioPara4.csv from Rogers Magic (once again thanks bcrook ).
LOCKSCREEN Wallpapers
To change lockscreen wallpaper, first download and unzip the file somewhere then cd to it and use this command:
Code:
adb push wallpaper_file_name_here.jpg /system/etc/lockscreen/port/htc_wallpaper_01_lockscreen.jpg
Note that we are replacing a file so the destination filename must always be htc_wallpaper_01_lockscreen.jpg
If you want to use your own lockscreen wallpaper, then use an image editing software (like GIMP) to resize the image to 455x320 pixels. Then push it using the command shown above.
p.s. As with all Hero roms, bluetooth and LEDs (only green one works) may not work properly!
Older versions:
Haykuro's 1.79.482.3 Hero release by Drizzy for 32A Devices + Amon RA's v1.0.1 Kernel (rapidshare) (mediafire)
Real COOOOOOL!!!!
Thank you very much for this port.....
Really Cool...
Downloading it now.......
Can't wait to test this.....
Jiahahahaah..another porting from you bro..thanks..
Btw what do you think? Opinion? between JaCxHero 1.4 with the same AmonRa kernel?
noooooooooooooooooo...i can't use this rom on my mytouch because the screen gets blurry after waking up the display. I have to get this issue resolved first before i can properly run it. From the looks of it, the rom looks great. Too bad i can't run this rom at the moment

Well this has landscape sms and JAVA which is kewl!! You can go to getjar.com from your phone browser and install java apps!! Check original thread for more info on this.
Also this is the latest Hero build and has footprints and stocks that people had been asking for
Now if it is or not faster than JACxHEROski 1.4, I can't say right now. I need some time to test it and some days to pass
so im expecting to need engineering spl for this, am i right?

Nope. Just wipe and flash
So this is what he was going on about in this Twitter...
Damn you're fast. Will it be possible to create a port using 2.6.27-gbo-4 kernel as well?
Does it include Traditional Chinese Language Interface and HTC_CIME?
Anyone notice any speed differences between latest jacheroski? Is Rosie any different?
runs ok
and seems to have fixed most problem, except led, and bluetooth of course
getting there.
Its good and fast so i would say, with 20 min playing with it, its the fastest, and the most feature packed rom for the magic at this time. absolutely loaded with toys and goodies.
ha. im actually happy i did not buy a hero now
thanks to ALL REALLY beers to all...

I got the spl 1.33.2005 on my TIM 32a Magic. and as i said, i cant get it booted..im currently trying hofo rom with the same kernel, maybe its just the file or something..
edit: yeah, i wiped. also tried to install it 2 times.
edit2: hofo rom with amon_ras kernel works without problems.

Change log will follow when I get more time to play with it.
as always, Be sure to thank Cyanogen if you enjoy this Rom.

I was able to update from CM-4.0.4 without much difficulty, but now getting FC error when trying to switch from Android keyboard to Touch Input:
(process com.htc.android.htcime)
I am googling to see if there are known issues, but will mess with it some more. The new Market is pretty slick.
Thanks.
Edit: Just realized this isn't a thread for 4.1.11.1 itself.

I had this issue as well. You need to actually unzip the CM-4.1.11.1 ROM and locate the HTC-IME.apk and install. This HTC keyboard will then work after using this .apk

Ah, the one I tried to install was the HTC-IME.apk from the CM-4.0.4 stable ROM, and also the one from the SDK. I may try the one from 4.1.11.1 a little later, but when I tried the other two, it kept saying it would replace a file that already exists. I tried uninstalling using AppManager, but whenever I opened AppManager it would just load and load and not actually show me what was installed. After switching back to CM-4.0.4, AppManager and the HTC-IME work fine.
I'll try again with the 4.1.11.1 ROM and the HTC-IME.apk from the 4.1.11.1 ZIP and post back with my results.
EDIT: I am still having trouble with AppManager, but at this point I could care less about that. I did get 4.1.11.1 installed again, and got the HTC_IME to work using this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=558134
Is the App Manager no working in this build? Please post issues regarding this Rom in Cyanogen thread if you are using his Build.
If using mine Please Let me know and I'll try and get it Fixed for you.

That's Really Odd, Did you Format you Fat32 ext2 /3 Partition.
Be sure to do this, Wipe, Flash. Reboot & Format is my Rule of thumb.
oh the only thing ive done was wipe and flashed my bad lol
Fast, seems stable.. Appmanager doesnt work with 1.6! Very Nice. Have to download the apppack next. Great work, keep it up!!!
I've tried everything still getting bootloops
Sorry I don't understand, what's the difference between this and cyanogen's own release?
I've been running 4.1.11.1 (with enochx theme) for the last few days and it is by far the best ROM out. Who needs Hero bloatware when this is available?
Well if you would have downloaded it you would have saw the Apps.
I Reverted the Calendar to an older build as I got FC.
As for now, I've not had time to do much to it.

Didn't say it was for 32a, I've really not had time to play with it, Just repacked it with tons of apps.
Any problem switching to this from JACxROM 1.4r3?
I have a2sd, partitions and compcache enabled, will everything run just fine? I'm asking because I found somewhere in the xROM post to be careful when using a2sd from other sources...

Espresso Only (if you want to revert back after flashing stock). Based on that verbiage it seems like what you want.

Thanks! I'll check it out and see if it works on a stock ROM. The only reason I didn't try that one before I started this thread was because those add-ons and ROM itself are based of a damageless ROM and not a stock ROM but ill see if it works.

[Rom] Gingerbread Daily rom!

Ok first off i want to apologize for the previous post about the Rom.
But here it is a huge leap for getting gingerbread on our g1s
i am not a developer i just simple tried and failed tried and succeeded
Now here for the unbelievable part this rom is fully functioning other than 3d launcher.
steps in flashing:
Wipe all recommended flashing superwipe
Flash the rom
Flash gapps
Done
Now second i realized it was not getting root access to fix this simply download superuser from the market.
this rom was made for the magic aka mytouch 3g
Links
Rom:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NKNFC89O
Gapps:
http://goo-inside.me/google-apps/gapps-gb-20110114-signed.zip
Now tht i think of it there is one other bug the browser likes to fc but i am sure you can download a alternative browser from the market. Let me know.
I want to try this but I don't wanna be the first one. :0 After someone else does it and posts on here about it, I'll be flashing this.
So it's a fully functioning stable rom!? And its gingerbread?
*i would be more willing to flash if there was some pictures of the proof of 2.3 and things working!*
If this is for the mt3g shouldn't it be posted in that section..

C'mon, its just a picture! Maybe I'll try this. So it definitely is fully functioning, for daily use? Other than the browser fc'ing? And is it speedy and battery life is good? Gah, sorry for the questions...I want to try this soon, but I don't have time to waste on roms that don't work perfectly. I'm sure this is a great work though.
just give a couple of minutes and ill post the screenies for you guys.

I successfully rooted the device with superoneclick,
downloaded Rom Manager, Flashed Clockwork recovery for Galaxy S Captivate
Reboot to recovery, select re-install packages, FAILED Signature...and aborts,
What am I doing wrong here?
Is there a better method? Every guide I read said to do it with rom manager...do I need to flash the stock rogers GB with bootloaders? then retry clockwork again?

Thanks thats exactly what i needed, i now have cm7 loaded up.
one question tho, while cm7 would install fine i initially tried to flash the ICS port by teamhacksung and it resulted in a bootloop, is there some step im missing? are someupdates only installable from internal sdcard?
You must be on a mtd based rom, which cm7 is, (touch wiz roms are bml based) before flashing to ics. U should be able to flash ics with no problem now.

ok will give it another shot!
Enjoy, it's quite different
Well, ics successfully flashed this time.
Only difference from my last attempt was I flashed a cm7 nightly instead of stable, also once on cm7 I flashed a newer radio as well as the glitch kernel. Dunno what had affected it before but its now running nicely on ics build 9.
Thanks for the help guys, I guess where I got hung up is where cwm resides in the kernel on this device? Where on all my htc's we simply flash cwm over the stock recovery. Anyways thanks again!

The glitch kernel is not compatible with ics, as of yet. It was over written when u flashed ics I'm pretty sure.
Well being completly new to this device was a lot of learning, I still have no idea what I did wrong initially to get stuck in bootloops, but I somehow managed to get cm7 working and then up onto ics so all is well as far as I can see now. Its a backup device for us so I'm pretty sure I will only be flashing ics as it matures. Must say the ics on the cappy is pretty far ahead in terms of usability compared to the desire z, great work here from your devs! And thanks for the pointers guys!
