I've removed only dogfood apps from ROM, nothing else - some files have been replaced with newer versions of these apps. I've replaced some old HTC icons with newer in WM6 style, you can see them on attached screenshots.
This ROM can be used without extrom on G4 wizards, but you have to download whole ROM and then manually split os.nb from it. ExtROM is used only as a storage for CAB files.

btw which app did you use to upx your apps? - i tried a couple and they wont compress microsoft apps - eg office.

jop, sorry, but this primary for czech users ....

I used upx 2.00w - perhaps the problem is that you can't upx dlls, only executables - and your office files have been maybe compressed yet

Thanks jimmy i will try that tool - not trying on dll's because i know it sometimes stops dll's working sometimes and exe's are originals - i have wrong upx program - cheers

Great job Jimmy, I've tried so manny roms and this one is realy fast and stable.

be cautious in upx-ing - some programms "can" be packed on PC version(icon excluding etc...) without problems on ppc later...some can't be packed at all..
i.e. isilo can't be packed at all ,so it may be roulette with custom oem packs..too.

Need Tester - WM5torage Version 1.8 [supports Kaiser / Polaris]

i dont have a Touch Cruise myself to test it but there is wm5torage which i have posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=349143&page=5 and works with Kaiser
but did not work on polaris i made some modification so its should work with polaris and better support of wm6.1, reboot the PPC after the warning, ignore error message in start up and Ok All the Notification
Please note that you have to remove any previouse installation of Softick Card Export II or WM5Torage, before installing this new version

Sorry for it but I think wm5torage is a SH!T for Polaris. Only one what works for me is Softick Card Export 3.08... That's it...

After 4 days of intense, professional use (VoIP, WiFi, many hours of calls), I can confirm: this ROM is fast and stable. Definitely a keeper.

F. Rom Description.
All Rom images are based on WM6.1 CE 5.2.19212 Build 19212.1.0.3 and called Mobile Virtual Vista.
The roms are structured to provide a Total User Customization interface.
They support all AutoRun and SDAutoRun V2.0 instructions as: LOCK, HIDE, SHOW, CAB, XML. CPY1, CPY2, CFG, EXEC and RST.
Please study in depth the control file SDconfig.txt as well as the files in the VistaLib directory.
Here bellow are highlighted some core issues of the roms:
1. Read readme.txt file for successful flashing.
2. The VistaLib directory includes:
- CabsToWindows, with:
- AudioManagerTodayPlugin.cab
- Backup.cab (PIM backup) **** Mobile Virtual Vista 2.20/2.21 ****
- DefaultThemes.cab
- S2U2.cab **** Mobile Virtual Vista 2.20/2.21 ****
- ThrottleLauncher.cab
- CabsToStorageCardProgramFiles, with:
- LiveSearch.cab
- OneTouchOrganizer.cab

4. The keyboard layout has options for small/big letters.
5. There are two start menus, the Quick with single tap and my advanced browsing with long tap or windows key.
There is also the Wktask menu activated with a tap on right top bar.
6. The key of messaging is assigned to Task Launcher for better performance that is pointed on messaging button,
7. Regedit (the one part of task manager) and Total Commander are assigned in the known inside hard keys.
8. All screens (initial splash, windows welcome and AutoRun) are redesigned as well as Mobile_Vista.tsk and Black_Vista.tsk .
9. The new three in one Today Plug-in, WiFi - Phone - Bluetooth, is revealed and reports the status of these items
as well as by tap on it you have the short communication manager.
10. Internet explorer has two new home screens.
The first has help, IE Home, HTC Home and Xda Developers.
If you tap on IE Home the well known IE screen is seen, not shown on other HTC roms.
When you tap on menu>tools>options you can set the current, IE home as home page.
You can always go to the first page from menu>tools>options and in setting use default.
11. SRS WOW HD driver is in the rom as package for enhanced HD sound.
12. The bottom screen plug-in has six small buttons where from left to right you can have:
- Green for phone on-off
- Gps ephemeris activation
- Memory
- Bluetooth
- Icon only for battery charge view. For the settings there is the top bar battery button.
- Screen rotation.
13. Including to Tom Tom 6 navigator there is Visual GPSce application for Sirf or NMEA protocol.
The bottom right flashing icon is green when fix is made and can be blue when differential gps signal is received.
14. With the package ZX_MediaOS_Q8_real your windows media player is capable to play
real audio and real video files as files with the following extension:
- .aac, .amr, .awb, .3gp, .3gpp, .mp4, .ra, .rm, .rv, .ram and the famous small .rmvb

Hello! Dear Ansar! Please help me... I want to install this ROM. I think what thats rom is amazing, but I don´t khown what do it... it does not has a file type .exe to install from the computer and do not has a file type "KAISIMG.nbh" to install from the microSD. Today I tried all day but I could't install it, try changing the file name "RUU_Signed.nbh" to "KAISIMG.nbh", but neither worked ... does not start in the bootloader mode.

Hi,
You need CustomRUU.exe and Signed.nbh in the same folder.
Connect your device, double click CustomRUU.exe and follow the instructions.
You must install Hardspl v1 first if you do not yet already in order to flash any rom.

Pero, ha decir verdad hay cosas de la configuración que no he podido encontrar... estan muy dispersas... A lo que me refiero es que la pestaña configuración aparece vacia, entonces... tienes que buscar por todos lados y en diferentes partes las cosas que necesitas... eso sería muy bueno que pudieras corregirlo...
Así, cada que se necesite configurar algo te vas a la pestaña configuraciones y lo solucionas, pues actualmente aparece vacia.

Althouh I'v been used others ROM's, trying to jump to WM6.5, always return to Spanish D3D Mobile Virtual Vista 2.20/2.21 OS 5.2.1921; this ROM offers many apps and other cenveniences. Keep the work Ansar, and rush to the new one ROM, in spanish to, if its'possible. Greetings form Cuba. Rafael.

first of all just wanted to say the rom is working very well and i am pleased..
the only problem i am having now is that i cannot connect to the internet...
neither through wifi or activesync..
GPSRAPIDO...E IL METEO NN RIESCI AD AGGIONARE PER QUESTO PROBLEMA
HOPE YOU SOLVE IT QUICKLY...

Which version are you using?

USING THE FULL VERION
JUST REALISED THE browsing with opera and internet explorer work..
but i cannot update gpsrapido or weather...
about the weather is it the hacked version.. because manually added my own town.. ancona.. tried the other cities that were on but nothing

Yes ive just seen that quickGps wont work...i was pretty sure to have used after had flashing the Rom, ill try to fix it as soon as i can.
The weather is the stock from Mega it isnt patched.

Really a nice Rom.. only small corrections with Advanced config for make the Gprs icon visible as i was already used to with some other Rom's.
I confirm Quick GPS does not work

I just found a bug in Comm Manager when you go to change the Base Band,but it is my fault i didnt remember to had change a thing in App.reg
