I have using touch pro over half a year and from last month till now this problem happened timely, that sometimes the sound will suddenly disappear, for incoming call, music, sms, etc. and when the call connectted, I cannot hear the voice. But after I reset the phone, the problem fixed, and maybe after while, it comes again.
It is very boring, because you do not know when it will happen, and will it no sound this time, during this time I flashed several ROMs (all cook from NRG, TKS him), and this problem still exsit, will be the hardware broken?
TKS for your help in advance!
This is the exact problem I have, It's really annoying! have you come to fix it yet??!? please let me know, I have been searching the forum for a solution, with no answer!!

I have similar problem. Everything is working ok but after 10 - 15 hours I don't have sms sms sound. Soft reset helps but it's a bit annoying to reset phone so often.
So updating radio will help? Are you sure?
change radio doesn't help, any new suggestions?

the startmenu and all other sounds where completely muted.
i needed to restart my device and the sounds were back again.

Yeah I have had this issue too. I hard-reset my device and it hasn't happened again. Not sure if it is to do with some application I had installed, but it hasn't happened since.
If there is an update coming I am looking forward to it
Same here
Yeah I have had this a few times before! Oh well I'll just keep an eye on the old updates page on the palm site!

Same solution worked for me, disable (and stop using. unfortunately) voice command.
I disabled it. Been using it like this for the past 2-3 weeks and the sound issue has not come back.
I have disabled voice command but it doesn't fix the problem, today i missed 7 calls
Palm please fix it with a rom update with wm6 !

Disable all voice command settings and that should fix the problem until the WM6 upgrade is available...
Until about 3 days ago the sound on my phone worked perfectly, I have installed dutty's rom for about 1 month ago. On friday or something the sound simply dissapaired from the phone, and now I am only able to hear sounds through headphones/earplugs.
I have discovered that if i press the wheel on the side inwards, the sound returns as long as I am holding my finger there. What is causing this, and how can i possibly fix it?
I can't anylonger hear when the phone is ringing or anytthing
What radio are you using? Try updating your radio and reading the wiki.

Problem: I have no sound.
Solution: You need to install a Windows Mobile 6.1 radio.

From what I get he didn't flash anything new or change anything? I would try a hard reset and see if that fixes it if not flash a new ROM and Radio that is known to work and if that doesn't work trade it for a refurb from your provider.
I just tried both hard-reset and installing a new rom. It is not working as I have seen yet. I don't think its a hardware error because i have never lost the phone on ground yet, and it has never been in contact with water. I have also tried to reset the software, but nothing helps
I also can't remember installing a software or making any changes other then gps fix previously before the problems started occuring. Might it be possible that somehow a change or something somewhere have made my phone uncompitable with the current radios?
As I said previously, I get trough the headphone. the odd thing is that i get the sound on the phone back if i press the scrollwheel inward a bit hard. I think there is a registry error or something somewhere.
Though this is very annoying because I can't hear when the phone is ringing. The phone is too big to be in my pocket, and then i need to keep it in my jacket.
I would be grateful if anyone could provide a solution to this-
though i have read through the wiki, and I find it strange that a rom and radio that previously were working, suddenly stops working.

I fully agree. I have the same problem with all Dutty's ROM. Once I pair the bluetooth device the first time and have it connected, from then on the sound goes to bluetooth headset. Thus, I miss calls if I am not wearing my bluetooth headset 24/7.
When the bluetooth headset is disconnected, still there is no sound from the phone. Again, I miss calls.
The Radio which I use with Dutty's ROM is alway included in the ROM.
Maybe, some registry settings?
KOR!
But the strange thing here is that the sound worked perfectly until some days ago, but maybe i should try to just reset the whole phone back to its original setting, and then reinstall everything?
I think its just annoying that something like this occurs when the phone is working perfectly.
Though i don't need to wear headsets when i am talking in the phone; the inbound speakers are working as they are supposed to
Ok, i have tried every radio possible now, and none of them works

Try to install a different ROM which has built in Radio with the ROM. Such as this:

Hope this is helpful.

flash it to original radio and rom, if it still does not work i think it's time to get that replaced. you may have to warranty it.
How do I do that? If there is any help, I have 2 other htc kaisers at home if there is possible to retrieve anything from them

Just flash some other ROM and see what happens. Either flash the ROM from the link I have given or flash the original ROM.
Spend half an hour and you will know if it is software or hardware problem.
The easy way is to download the ROM from the link given above and let us know the results!

Same problem here. I noticed that it only happens after pairing it with bluetooth. I was on the ROM for a month before i pair it with bluetooth and then voila ... no sound.
However, my problem can be temporarily solve by resetting the phone. I was about to flash to the latest Dutty's and see how...

You should have made this post in the thread of the ROM you're using!
You don't have a signature so we don't know what the @#$% you have on your phone.
It's not like Dutty only has 1 ROM out.
There's several individuals who go thru Dutty's threads & help individuals like yourself.
So, if you post there....you will get the help you need.
Moderators.....please close this useless thread !

Resetting the Rom
I have a phone where the hardware is malfunctioning, and i want to send the phone back for repair. The only problem is reinstalling the previous OS.
I had originally a norwegian OS (1.56.409.8711). I do have acess to another kaiser with the OS i want, so is there anyway to retrieve it from the phone?
Every now and then, probably after using it for a couple of days, my TC gets problems with the phone function. First, it will not notify me of incoming calls, these get diverted to the voice mail. Second, when I try to make a call, it starts to dial, but the dialing never succeeds. After a minute or so of dialing it just ends the call.
I found out the following funny thing: when it is dialing, if I push the off-button at that time, the screen goes off and the sound comes on. I'm even properly connected to the person I'm trying to call!! So the connection was already there, I just can't hear anything, neither can the other person, until I push the off-button.
This behaviour doesn't happen all the time, just after a day or so of use. The solution is to soft-reset the device, not really a solution though in my opinion. Switching the phone off and on in the comm.manager doesn't help. Is there any bettter solution? I'm using the standard dutch ROM.
Thanks! Wouter

Does a different radio ROM help?
I'm a bit scared for doing that... It hasn't always been like this, so I'd rather send it back I think.

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem since a week with bepe 0.67 rom.
Please, anyone with the same problem?
sounds a little similar to this...

hopefully that ^ solves the problem
Thanks for your reaction. It's not the same problem though, when my problem occurs it stays. I can never make a phone call normally again anymore, nor receive a call. I have to soft reset.

Do you have Webis Note2Self installed?
I cloned my device's software and settings to a new one from the shelve. After a few days the problem occured again. So it's probably not a hardware problem in my case. With the problem occuring, I changed the phone settings from Auto to GSM and the UMTS settings from Auto to GSM(900+1800)+UMTS(2100), both didn't solve the problem when it was occuring.
Then I opened Memmaid and discovered there was an instance of Note2Self (Webis) under the running processes. I closed that one down and closed Memmaid and then the problem was gone!!
On their forum, other users report about audio issues. I'm looking in to this further. I'm using N2S 2.01 build 2326.
[edit]
Yes! Upgrading to version 2.03 solved my problem! Finally!

Yes, I am!!
I'll upgrade, thanks.
I had the same issue with the standard WM6 ROM thats the whole reason I changed to Diamond R4 ROm, has not happened since then. One thing I did notice is that I had my phone in my hand and it came out of sleepmode by it's self and 3 minutes later after putting it back to sleep I receive a message to say I had voice mail. Now I am thinking that the phone knew a call was comming in but it was to lazy to ring so it just sent it to voice mail. When I tried to call voice mail the phone connected but there was no sound. I had to power cycle the phone for it to work again.
Hi guys!
My Sensation has a really weird bug. While in a conversation the internal speaker stops working and the microphone stops working too, in simple words: i can't hear the conversation partner and he can't hear me.
Thought it was a firmware problem. Flashed different roms and now got the original one back (RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.29.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_ 10.11.9007.15_M_release_193714_signed), but the problem still persists. Some say I should try a different radio version, but I'm not sure about it.
And this doesn't seem like a hardware problem...
Anybody had this bug before or maybe has some suggestions?
Thank you!
Hi Everyone, and happy new year to you all,
I have a little issue with sMIUI 5.12.24 and 5.12.31: every time I receive a phone call, my Mi4c starts flashing its LED flashlight. I've been looking online and on this forum, hoping to find a way to deactivate it, with no success.
Even the installation of a third-party flashlight app doesn't solve the issue. I understand that it is a great feature for some people, but I really want to deactivate it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.
Seriously, no idea?
Or am I missing something that obvious that nobody dares drop a line in this forum?
Please help me, I'm still facing the same issue...
Cheers!
The the EU rom. You should msg the dev of smiui
Thanks for the suggestions.
I guess nobody else is experiencing the problem or everybody is happy with that feature...
Cheers!
[SOLVED]
Problem solved: I performed a clean install of the latest ROM, formatted cache, Dalvik, did a factory reset and everything behaved as expected. Maybe the problem was coming from a fluke during the ROM install. In other words, my bad!
