HD Tweak & advanced config good for hd2?
I think advance config is good but hd tweak, will this soft improve performance or do we need HD2 tweak because of hardware?

I've done it, I don't notice any improvements. But thats maybe because of the huge speed improvement.
But it's still handy for some other tweas/settings

UPDATED! 27/09/10 - Touch Tools for HTC 2.0 Suite PR1.1 Released!

The Touch Tools thread has moved. For support and updates please goto the HD2 (Leo) Forum thread. Click Here!!
Be great to have everything in one place! Keep us posted!
Here's the "tweaks" I have used:
Nodata
Aktogglewifi
psShutXP (display off, turn off, soft reset)
FDCSoft TaskMgr
hc4 ObexInboxEx VGA (send bluetooth files to SD card)
htcAddicts CleanRAM (not sure if this works 100%)
David Andrs Batti (battery indicator across top of screen)
Showaco All_Programs (4 column Start, Programs for TF3D) - but the implementation isn't bug free
4 column programs and settings - WM standard
Rotation control
Would like to have better implementations of:
Birthday, anniversary reminder - currently using NS birthday
Short cut to Device lock (save wear & tear on hardware key) - the options around seem to take memory or resources
Cheers
will it be program like advanced config or hd tweak or diamond tweak only for topaz?
TD2 Tools - Programs Tab Fix - Released: 26/08/2009
If you are experiencing problems and bugs with the Programs Tab, you need to search for a patched manila file to make it function correctly. The setting option in TD2 Tools only Shows or Hides the Programs Tab.
so i guess you need to see what's in diamond+hd tweak & advanced config & sktools and pick from there whatever relevant for topaz.
A method for preventing the web browser from ever attempting to use 3G / EDGE for data connections while still allowing data for MMS.
Is such a thing possible?
Nice idea !
So,
- Allow TF3D2 in landscape
- Enable change of TF3D2 programme launcher background
- Enable change of colours and fonts of TF3D2
- Enable to add new shortcuts in the programme launcher page
- Boost TFL3D Performance
- Speed up camera shutter Speed
- Enable to change softkeys
- Enable assigning actions to hardware buttons
- Audio louder
Some already works on my Topaz but there is no app yet. So, thank you.
yes, there is a way to prevent the PDA from connecting to 3G and EDGE every time: settings - all settings - connections - advanced network - in the HSDPA/HSUPA tab, select enable HSDPA only. I did this and I've no problems...
post your views please people!
Some suggestions:
-TouchFLO: option to choose between wm6.5 start (or 6.1 start menu) & manila programs tab.
-Comm manager: option to set 8 buttons & choose which. (in advanced config i can choose 8 buttons & press ok it writes error but still saved).
-Camera: high res panorama, additional modes thats not enabled by default.
-Enable/Disable notifications manager.
-Enable/Disable threaded sms.
from advanced config:
-Performances settings.
-Power management settings.
from hd tweak:
-Call settings.
-Camera settings.
from sktools:
-Enable/Disable wifi-g
This might be good replacement for many tweaking app alltogether like hdtweak, advanced config, sktools, gconfig...
hope you make it......good luck!
Latest Update!!!!

no, my program has nothing to do with this one, however, it looks really impressive compared to mine. I have designed mine with simplicity in mind, so it will only contain relavent settings to tweak.
Released! Grab it now!
Sounds very interesting, lyriquidperfection! Yet some screenshots would be highly appreciated...!
screenshots are to follow, havent got time at the minute, but feel free to test it and let me know what you think!
I installed it! It is nice... It would be good however, if the user (especially if he is of average knowledge, like me! ), knew what the default value in each setting is. For example, I do not know what is the default value of the "Enlarge Start Menu" or "Enable PopUp UI" value is, or what they do...

The settings for each item are read from the registry upon application starting. so if you install this app after a hard reset, you will see straight away what the defaults are as to which boxes are checked and which ones arent!

My tweak to improve Opera 9.7 rendering.

My big issue in HD2 is the Opera 9.7 rendering...
To improve that i make my one tests, and i notice thak i can improve that, how?
edit this:
from xda forum:
51. Speed Up Scrolling of Internet and People Tab, Album Page and All People Page
You can speed up the speed of scrolling when you flick your finger by modifying the following registry tweak.
HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/HTCScroll/velocity_factor
Change to 20000 or higher. Experiment to what suits you.
All Opera tweak from B&B 1.6
and my tweak:
HKLM/SOFTWARE/Opera/info/auto_pan_speed Change to 45 or less. Experiment to what you prefer.
Tell us what you thing, to improve Opera 9.7 navigation.

[Q] WP7 - IE performance hacks & tweaks?

Hi everybody,
I'm looking for useful hacks or tweaks to increase the IE performance. Does anybody know settings to speed/power up the render (loading) time?
Thanks 4 help - TankerBill

Has nobody an idea? I could found a lot of registry tweaks - but nothing for better IE performance...

If you go to Settings > WiFi > Turn On, this usually speeds up loading for me
Honestly though, I haven't seen any performance tweaks for IE and I doubt you will find any. The rendering time on my IE is superb - faster than my previous Opera on WM/Android & stock Android browser and certainly very close to Safari.
You could always make sure you view mobile pages instead of the full desktop version, but then again that's the default setting anyway!
Thanks for fast reply...
I like the GUI and the price of WP7 phones - but I heard the Nexus S or Desire HD rendering time is much better?

[Q] Reason to flash rom

Are there any particular reason to flash into RevoHD or LeeDroid or any other custom Rom, beside the factor of being able to o/c the cpu?
a list of reason would be nice.
Virtuous because of the advanced quick settings and ram optimizations. You have the option to turn off auto rotate, adjust screen brightness, media volume, and ringtone volume all from the status bar. Can't tell you how much of a time saver it is for me. It's stable, and they are always developing new kernels, though stock will be your most stable option until source code is released. I'm sure this thread is about to flow over with other opinions but if you are looking for speed and stability in a Sense ROM, you should atleast give Virtuous a go.
Likewise with Android Revolution HD.
Speed is much better than stock, no stupid bloat, the option of a 'sense-less' install (not exactly stock, but an alternative nonetheless), in-built auto OC (if you're into that kind of thing) and forced GPU Acceleration (smoothes some animations), as well as very good battery life.
Coupled with the UNITY kernel, I find it a good combination for everyday use.

[Q] Optimal cm9 performance settings?

Hello everyone,
I've been using the cm9 release candidate since it was released, and still can't figure out how to make it snappy (I was on Apex before, and found it much more responsive). I'm not sure which the performance/memory management settings the Nexus S can handle well (there are lots of other threads for other phones, but I'm not sure if some of the settings require better hardware), so I'd appreciate it if anybody could tell me what they've found to be good for the following options:
Performance settings:
- Surface dithering
- 16bit transparency
Memory management:
- Allow purging of assets
- Kernel samepage merging
Misc. information that may or may not be relevant:
- Using Matr1x kernel (CFS, v21.0 I think)
- Processor is running at 200/1200 most of the time, ondemand governor (same settings that used to give me great performance on Apex).
- Also tried running Supercharger script, but it didn't seem to change things as much as it usually does
- Fixing permissions didn't fix it
- Battery life seems fine
- What I mean by "unresponsive" is that the launcher takes longer than usual to redraw and is laggy switching between windows, apps often force close or take forever to start up, and the browser reacts much more slowly to pinches, swipes, etc.
Thanks!
tl;dr: CM9 users, please share your performance + memory management settings. Explanations not required, though appreciated.

You don't need to mess with those settings.
Besides, if your applications FC, it's likely because of:
a) instability regarding your overclock
b) instability regarding the undervolt that matr1x kernel comes with
c) the fact v21 was canned due to being judged unstable by so many, upgrade to v22
d) all of these
Cheers
If you don't know what a setting does, don't change it. Messing with the CM performance settings if you don't know what you're doing is a great way to mess your phone up.

are you completly retarded? there doesnt happen much when you change the settings there. you are talking like the settings are just for pros and he is a kid, lol. kernel samepage merging for example just "bonding" two similiar proccesses so they dont need too much ram.

Are you? This thread has been dead for almost 3 months. The OP had his answer. Resurrecting this thread just to argue is incredibly pointless.
